H1 Pretty gross but I think you just call it off, villain shouldn’t have much 5x here
H2 stack off here for sure I reckon
H3 we can fold here multi-way with this action on this turn card vs SB and BB surely
H4 I’m not sure about the minclick maybe it’s fine vs fish, doesn’t seem like he’s folding after a certain point so rest seems ok?

Ty mate I pretty much did the same except call the A8, was while playing another big hand and was maybe on a bit of winners tilt, totally missed that 65s got there.

Also he could have a set ofc, doubt most decent regs will shove worse 2p here. H1 and h2 they had sets ofc, it's hard to fold these spots in 3b pots but next times I'll probably do it atleast more often.

People at these stakes always have it. a
After x/r flop jam turn, x/r turn, potsized bets on rivers or most overbets in general, they literally always have it.

But this donkey keeps paying them off, but a little less frequent every passing day. I started to not pay them off anymore in single raised pots, now I'll try to not pay them off anymore in 3bet pots but it's not that easy there ofcourse

this is why i have mad respect for what you're doing, the pain is real to adapt to micro nl

just mindless abc poker and i hate every minute of it but deeply respect you starting there cause that's a ton of discipline and certaintly going to help you workshop some other things that will be relevant at higher stakes much cheaper

In all the micro pools on stars (2-25NL) most regs simply don't bluff. They play ABC poker to the max. And yes they are maybe winning slightly but they stay forever in the micros because the of the way they play. when you face very transparent opponents think about how easy you can exploit them by not calling river bets on certain runouts etc. Also I would highly recommand (as I mentioned to you on discord as well) just pressure certain textures on certain regs (the ones that play ABC poker to the max) and take a **** load of pots down pre showdown.

Everyone has his own style ofcourse so it's all up to you. GL, I enjoy reading your journey.

Hehe not sure if it's that great because I might end up too tight against big bets/check raises/overbet jams/river bets when I move up

I think the 2 punts were against randoms/fish but not sure because I immediately quit after the second punt.
Regs sometimes bluff and I've seen a lot of bad regs make terrible bluffs also with some showdown hands etc

Also I now had a couple times where I get the "client needs restart" message now, couple times while playing mtts so that only lost me a tiny bit of equity maybe but yesterday I had it during a cash hand and when I came back all tables were gone. Mailed support but no answer yet, found online I had to change an opengl setting in the user file but now tables play like 2fps which is really annoying.

Anyone got a fix for this? Joost please tell me how to play with the old stars engine

Fixed the problem by going back to the legacy tables without all the Aurora bs, game has been running super smoothly, had an issue where I couldn't see my time left to act but fixed that now by changing themes.

Currently I'm trying to implement new things into my game, doing more check raises on flops, sometimes as the preflop raiser also against regs and also use bigger cbet sizings on different board textures on flops.

Had a decent day but ran into a lot of top of the range stuff postflop again, happy I didn't really pay guys holding the nuts off with marginal hands, this donkey is learning slowly.

Well done my man, keep them coming! I need to practice not paying with marginal hands into the nuts lol,any tips on that?I think is probably a lot of self discipline involved in that and i'm quite an impulsive person so it's kinda of hard for me to be fair lol ))

Fold to big turn bet after they check raise the flop, fold to big river bets or overbets but at 2nl you can call a little more ofcourse

Just lost about 3 bi in a small session mostly in the red line department, wanted to post some of the hands to see if you would've played them differently, just feel like I run into top of the range a lot. Please only respond if you play the micros because at higher stakes I wouldn't be so nitty against some of these plays

You need to get used to the variance. I am still in the downswing currently at -20BI in the last 10000 hands. I would say mentally you should prepare for 40BI downswing, probably not 80BI.

There shouldn't be too much difference between 5 and 10nl except the rake, probably just the variance. Keep going!

As mentioned above day was really tough, imo I played really well, won a couple decent hands but then after that again really really unlucky in just about every situation.
Will probably record a 30 min video tomorrow so if anyone wants to watch that to help me spot some leaks that would be awesome

Yeah I know, I only played 5nl for 10k hands and only lost there from the start, then the losing continued at 10nl so far. I think I can definately beat the stake but it's hard to say when you're graph is only going down from the start
I know variance is a huge ***** but I'm ready for that 100 bi upswing that's definately coming soon tm /s

JJ 5bet all-in maybe. Postflop I go broke but I pretty much lose every time.
A7 I call river because I'm a fish. We are not blocking heart fd.
AQ I fold river too
KJ. Dunno how to play these hands either. I usually just fold turn, sometimes even flop. Some people donk all their good hands.
JJ looks like a fold
ATs I play the same way
AK I call and go broke on turn and lose to a set. Folding is just too exploitable and I can't force myself to fold.

JJ I don't like jamming pre against a fish, maybe folding to the 4b oop is better then not sure
KJ folding flop is too tight I guess with the nut gutshot and 2 overs in position altough not outs are totally clean ofcourse
AK I def learned not to go broke ott but guess should just call the flop atleast

Alright I uploaded a 32 minute video, ofcourse when making a video I didn't get put into lots of difficult spots only the AQs one, my thinking was that I shouldn't have that many lower pps in that spot and that I would get called a bit too often maybe, but I should have more lower pps in my range than he does so I guess it's alright.

green = fish

light blue = bad reg (because of gap between vpip and pfr or if I saw them making a bad play so when that happens I also have a note on them)

Open to any suggestions! Also let me know if I'm able to beat 10nl, ofcourse this is hard to judge by a very small sample of hands
