First time I've seen this happen lol:

Hero posts SB €0.50, BB posts BB €1.00

Pre Flop: (pot: €1.50) Hero has 6 3

Hero calls €0.50, fold

Pre Flop: (pot: €1.50) Hero has 8 8

Yesterday I had my first good day in a while, that felt really nice Today has been a little shaky with many bad runouts, but ended up about breakeven. Lately I’ve been gameselecting so hard because I’ve been on a big downswing, but I’m going to open it up a bit now and play more aggressive guys again.

Last week started out pretty well so I took a shot a small shot at NL400 again, it lasted exactly 93 hands. Hopefully the next try will go better.

When it comes to poker results, this month has so far been far from the best, but not the worst – pretty much breakeven. It’s only a one day left so it probably won’t change much. Going from having dreams of a huge March to the latest results kinda sucks, but I just have to work more I guess and try to not let the results put me down too much. If I put in time and effort it will change, like when I had my biggest losing month in January and then it all turned around in February and for about a month and a half I had a huge upswing.

Well, April was not the best month and the start of May has not been too good. I’m now going to go back to basics with nitty villain selection and standard lines. This way I can avoid many tough decisions and get back some confidence.

Last week was very positive for a change. It helps when you get quads over full house:

$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
2 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by WeakTight Poker Hand History Converter

Stacks:
BTN Hero ($276.41) 138bb
BB Villain ($464.01) 232bb

Pre-Flop: (3, 2 players) Hero is BTN 9 9
Hero raises to $4, Villain raises to $8, Hero raises to $23, Villain calls $15

Flop: K 2 9 ($53, 2 players)
Villain bets $2, Hero raises to $20, Villain calls $18

Turn: 9 ($93, 2)
Villain bets $26, Hero raises to $66, Villain raises to $284, Hero goes all-in $167.41 River: K ($636.41, 2), 1 all-in

Final Pot: $601.91
Villain shows
2 2
Hero shows
9 9

Hero wins $551.32 (net +$274.91)
Villain collects $50.59 (net -$276.41)

After this the villain was kind enough to jam his last 100bb every hand until I stacked him again.

On Saturday I think I had one of my best sessions ever, at least the best in a loooong time. At one point I played 6 tables, which I haven’t done in a while, and it went pretty well.

Also last week went pretty good so I just need to keep this up and May will be a good month.

This week I’ve had a couple of very good coaching sessions on two different topics were I made many mistakes. That was great. On the tables it has not gone too good, though. That’s not so great.

So the last week ended up in the positive after a weak start. The last part of it I tried to just multi-table it up and see how I’d do. I’ve not had 2k hands per day very often. This week I got three in a row so that was pretty cool. I guess I have a lower expected BB/100, but my hourly is probably higher. The thing I found most curious is that my redline while multi-tabling has actually been pretty steady, while when I don’t play so many tables it usually goes straight down. It could be variance. It could also be that I might unknowingly game select tighter when playing many tables. Like if a guy is giving me some trouble it’s easier to just think “**** him” and sitout when I’m playing five other people. In the end, though, it is probably just variance.

A bit delayed post (written on May 28th.):

Four days left of May and I got a lot of time to play and feeling pretty motivated. I have a goal of hitting 6k in total profits, atm at about 3.7k so still quite a bit left. But I got some bonuses that I can cash out if I get enough hands in which will help quite a bit, I think it’s about 800. 1.5k in four days is definitely possible so I think I got a fair chance. After bad results in April it would feel great to reach this goal.

I’ve played a lot of NL50 lately which I wouldn’t sit at before except if I didn’t get any action. It’s certainly a bit more of a grind than the other stakes, but it helps me to stay focused and sharp. And in the end there is some money to be won there as well.

Btw results are looking pretty good. Will update with graph for the month on monday.

May ended up being a very good month for me and I set some new records for myself: most played hands I’ve ever had in a month (by far) and highest result. My previous best month was 3k in winnings (directly from the poker table) and in May I had 5k so that was pretty nice. With rakeback and cashback I also hit the goal of 6k so that was great. I’m very happy to have had a good month again after the end of Mars was pretty painful and April just sucked.

Last week went pretty well. I played okay and won coinflips like a champion at nl400. In the end of this week I’m going on vacation, which kind of sucks now that I’ve had pretty decent results. I’ve noticed that my worst results have usually been in periods after I came back from holiday so that’s pretty disturbing. I’ve decided to bring my laptop with me on the vacation and play at least a little bit so it’s easier to transition back to playing when I come back home. It’s pretty good internet where I’m going so that will not be a problem.

Until I’m going on vacation I’m pretty much only going to do poker and go for some walking trips. That is what I plan to do for the rest of the summer as well.

So I’m back from vacation. It was a good time, but now it’s back to the tables. This summer will be pretty interesting because I got more time than ever to play poker. Almost all of my friends have gone back to the other side of the country for the summer vacation so I don’t even need to spend one second of the day doing anything social. My main goal for the summer is to average 12 hours a day on the tables.

June went really well for me. First week I got a lot of action and almost played more hands than I did in the months I had my fewest hands. In the second week I didn’t get as much action, but ran really well. After those two weeks I didn’t play much.

Last week was so-so. I started playing on monday and had a great start, but then it started plummeting and I had my first -1k day in a while on thursday. I ended up taking friday off and recovered losses on saturday and sunday. I didn’t reach my goal of 12 hours per day, it’s much harder than I thought it would be.

Yesterday after playing for a decent amount of time my wrist started to hurt pretty badly so today I went and bought a mouse with a tracking ball or whatever it’s called. It’s a bit weird at first, but I think I’ll get used to it soon enough.

It’s been a while since my last update and quite a bit has changed since then. First I went to the BPC Seminar and learned a lot about what I should do outside of poker. I also met most of the guys in CFP which was very nice. While I was there I made up my mind that I will relocate. So that’s what I did and now I’m in Slovenia I arrived on Wednesday and so far it seems very nice.

This marks the start of me having poker as my only income. Before I worked a side job and got some student loan. I’m almost certain it will work out fine, but either way I’m going to step it up. I’m starting to play again tomorrow and my first goal will be to do 300 hours in rest of August.

So far it seems very good for my poker to live in a house with other poker players. It’s nice to have someone to talk about poker with on a daily basis, especially now when my only short term goals are basically to play and get better at it.

I can still make the 300 hours in August, so far I’ve done 109.5 hours so I just gotta do 12 hours every day and I’ll get there. If results continue to be as good as it has been so far this month I might be able to hit my first 10k month. It’s weird how quick results turn around in poker. I’ve checked my db and after the two months I’ve done bad (-2 bb/100 and 1 bb/100) I’ve had two pretty good months in a row and then one bad month again.
