So here's the thing. London Ontario is a big sushi place. There are a ton of sushi restaurants. I'm used to all you can eat type stuff. 16-25$ a person. And usually it's high quality great. Now I'm starting to understand that "all you can eat" isn't going to be quality in Korea apparently. I just want good sushi lol. I went to some place on Christmas and it sucked ass. I'll look into those places. Are they near Gangnam?

Goldstar+ Freeroll was 100k with 7603 runners. (Was looking up the 43 representing the SK flag, although I know you have the Canadian one of course).

After looking it up, it started at 3am our time, ended at 10:26am.

I'm still praying that the tourneys will start back up at Walker Hill on May 8th. (I'll believe it, when I see it though)

Good luck in May man!
I forgot about it lol. Yeah I'm still registered as Canadian since I use my home address on my account still. TBH it's truthful since I intend to move back home eventually. Korea is essentially temporary at this point. Oh well. I did well last time. Damn yah def would have played it too. It's a freeroll I'm ok with murdering my sleep schedule for. I end up putting in a good MTT grind around it.

London Ontario is known for their sushi, the sushi in Asia just doesn't cut it. LMAO. I really hope that was a level. It's the perfect stereotype of every white person who has ever stepped foot on a plane. Sorry bro, but that was ridiculous.

Yep, finally! Bags/luggage are no problem. At the very front of the casino they will take your bags and then give you a plastic numbered square.

Egption,

Im trying to find the article I recently read about spin-n-gos, but I'm having trouble finding it, and wanted to hear your opinion on it. Basically what the author was saying is that if the prize pool is low, an inexperienced player is more likely to play very loose and play weak hands, but if the prize pool is high (like x6) he will play much tighter and with stronger hands, which makes this very exploitable.

Would you agree with this?

2 week update!

So I got lazy updating because I was pissy with how the live event went. so I decided to just make an update with better news the next week. Well that didn't go as planned either.

Basically I'm having a great month. Halfway done and I've purged myself deep into makeup. I honestly wouldn't be as upset, but I got sorta self-screwed by a profit split. I couldn't at the time because I had a bunch of money on 888, but less on stars. So I couldn't split with my backer. It would have translated into ~300 for me. Instead, I'm now ~1.5k in makeup lol. Scoops contributed to maybe half of it, so it's whatever. I'm not upset about the makeup, it'll come back over time.

What I'm cheesed about is my spin performance. I sort of digressed a little in my play. I've been running pretty poorly and just haven't been getting the neato std spots. I've also been a little too bluffy, which has resulted in plenty of chips punted. I feel like my game is currently fixed for the most part. I'm not leaking anymore. I just am running pretty ****ing horrible lol. All it will take is 1 sunrun session and I'm out of the pits. 1tiem plz stars.

The live tourny at walkerhill was a bust. I was first out and went out on a punt hand I don't even want to explain due to shame. The weekend was great though. It was my birthday on the 8th, and I was in Seoul for the long weekend. Was great to chill out and visit Seoul. It really is a wonderful city.

Next month is APPT Seoul. I plan on playing the Main and a few side events if I bust the main. It'll be by far my biggest buyin. It's 3,300,000won (3.1kUSD-ish).I'll probably sell ~50% of myself. I have no problem keeping even 100% of myself. I won't look to hard to sell for action. I'll just message a few people or if people ask I'm ok. I think I'll be incredibly profitable and I sort of feel like gamboling.

Anyways keeping it short a sweet. hopefully I'll be out of the makeup hole by the end of the week. Got a few scoops I'm looking forward too which should halp.

I'd generally agree with the statement. playing a 6 or 10x is spooky. They aren't as apt to call down with 2nd or 3rd pair vs triple barrels. However they are still opening and playing roughly the same. I wouldn't say ppl play different until its a 25x+. They it gets super tight.

Happy Birthday man! In case you don't know... If you do have a chance to go to WH again this month, go to the customer service desk and tell them its your Birthday month. You will have to sign up for a players card if you don't have one already, but they will give you a gift of your choice. I chose an LG photo printer for smartphone. Its nice.

Let's Update This Thingy

Alright. So first off, f*ck scoop. bricks all around. I deepran one, but bricked all Mediums. It successfully dug a hole for MTTs lol. SCOOP accounts for like 80% of my MTT make-up lol. Anyways, here's some pictures:

Well holy. I'm out of my abysmal running hole I was in for May. Caught a little sunrun, and now back in the profits. I didn't play very many spins because I played a lot of mtts this weekend. This morning I finally won a 25x, which helped significantly. I got it in both times with my opponent drawing dead. Feels good to finally close a big multiplier for once. I bricked my last 2 25x's in the first 2-3 hands lol.

Spins had been going so poorly during May. I was getting lamed by regs and playing a little bad. I kept running std spots into better hands. I'm still convinced a lot of my -cEV vs regs is due to just running into it. When I'm jamming 8-12bb deep I continue to run into just better hands or hands that dominate. It's whatever. It'll balance out, or I'll realize my leaks and fix it. Whatever comes first.

MTTs were meh this weekend. I think I made some money. I had a bunch of teased. 4th in a 22 Turbo, 3rd in a 27 nlo8 psko, and 15th in the big 33. The nlo8 tilted me the most because I was crushing from 18 players to FT. I went from 30k chips to 115k chips with no knockouts or showdown. I then went through the FT with no KO's while chip lead. I busted only making 1 buy-in in KO's. I ran ****ing horrible 4 handed. Also getting 15th again in the big 33 is mindblowing. my last 3 results in it are 16th/15th/15th. NEVERLUCKY.

Life in Korea is pretty ight. Works been "heavy" but alright. My co-teachers seem to be stressing, but tbh I'm finding it alright. I'm getting everything done and I'm not one to complain and discuss my deep feelings about things. Really not a fan of bashing/talking behind another teachers back, which of course is a typical work place thing that happens. I've always been of the type to not say anything that would lead to me taking heat. If I'm gonna talk **** about someone, it'll be to people who will never hear/see them lol.

Anyways, I might be heading back to Seoul June 4th/5th/6th. I guess that means I might play that donkament at Walkerhill. I really do prefer it to Co-Ex due to how easy it is to get onto blackjack tables. That and it runs 1/2 lol. If you have suggestions for places to eat in Itaewon or Gangnam let me know.

The last few days I've also been reconsidering playing the APPT main. TBH I think I'm just better off skipping such a high buy-in. Losing it could set me back 1-2 months. Something I really don't want considering May is currently operating at a 0 profit margin. There are plenty of Liveaments in the sea. Maybe a WSOP 2017 could be in the horizon?

No thread saver since I'm at work and don't want to look up spooky photos. I'll double down the next comment.

May Update

Well It's a few days late, but it's an end of the month update! probably best to do before I start my next session I guess.

May

To date since on stake:

So spins are on a great trend. I hit a heater to nearly break me out of makeup. I was out, but lost ~20 buyins near the end due to losing a ton of 6/10x's. Was really frustrating to be so close to profit on the month and not get it. Thus, May was my first losing month. I attribute a vast majority of it to lack of volume and SCOOP.

Apparently my vs reg game sucks atm. Can't seem to win vs them, which doesn't make sense. Oh well I'll figure it out. My vs fish game is ight. I think I'm playing alright vs them.

June I got some goals:
1. Start learning Korean
2. Take weight loss seriously. Eat healthy (Keto diet)
3. NO FAST FOOD EVER.
4. 1.5k spins
5. 55 cEV

I need to start learning Korean at some point. It's past the point of sad now. Just gotta nut up and start. Eating healthy is a must too. I feel like when I return to Canada, I have an excellent opportunity to look my absolute best. Do people really want to see the same fat slob that left 1 year ago?

Spin goals are simple and achievable. I played 1.2k games in may while being a lazy buggah. I could do 1.5k no problem. I think I can achieve a +55 cEV and find a way into the 30s by the end of the month, if not earlier.

I'm going to be skipping the APPT Main. Thinking about it, 3.3k is a lot to punt. A little too much. I can find much better avenues then that to invest. I'll probably still go, but just for Saturday and Sunday. That way I can just keep all my action and reduce spending.

Welp dunno what else to say. here's some thread sava:

Aaaaanddd I'm back in makeup. got rammed by consistent bricks all sunday/monday. At least i got a profit split in before ^_^

I am being way too hard on myself when losing, and don't really care when I'm winning. The lows are definitely crushing my highs. I won 2 tournaments this weekend and all I think to myself is how bad I run. It's a mental leak that I need to fix. I should just stop being such a lil beech

Emiya Muljomdao, The last response you got ref this issue was from AguaPorFavor, in which he replied "2 months" back on April 27th. I haven't read or heard anything else about it.

Egption, I had to look up pokerstars rake (I had no idea how much it is) to compare it to Walker Hill....

1/2 at WH is 10% to a max of 15
1/2 at PS 5% to a max of $2.75

Losing 7.5 BBs to rake in one pot, compared to just 1.375 BBs online does seem crazy.

Good luck going forward.

I used to be all happy about getting the "free" pizza or Subway sandwiches. 10 pots of max rake is 150,000 kw! That food ain't free we paid for it multiple times over! lol. Fk, we should all get free rooms at least! lol

Good luck going forward.

Beautiful hit man!

I've never been lucky with it. I've been at the wrong table twice when it was hit. lol

I just read on FB it was hit this past Saturday night as well with a Straight Flush over Straight Flush. I was curious how often it hits......here's the last 4 BBJs I see posted on their FB page:

15Feb16 (58.9M) (TTTT over AAAT)
04Mar16 (14.9) (AsQh vs. AdTh. Board- QAKTA)
30Apr16 (35.0M) (Quads over Quads)
11Jun16 (18.0M) (Straight flush over Straight Flush)
