Hero had A, Q (two pair, Aces and Queens).
MP had 7, K (full house, sevens over Kings).
Outcome: MP won $8.20
HJ isn't fullstacked and min-opens, so I iso and get called by BB and HJ.
FLOP: hit top 2pair, weaker A's and Q's will be calling, along with draws and probably even underpairs. I cbet 50% and get called by HJ.
TURN: board pairs. Don't think V has many 7's in his range and is more likely to have an A or a draw. Figured he would call any big A or draw and there would be remain a weird bet size for the river so I shoved.
** 2nd hand: 3bet 99 in SB vs an UTG open ?
** 3rd hand: 3bet JJ in HJ vs an UTG open, get 4b. I used to just call with JJ and never shove, definitely not v UTG open. correct to just call, and probably fold flop without a set ?
Please some general advice on these situations. There's a cbet on an Axx board, which doesn't really mean anything. Then a check on a K turn, which makes me doubt he has an A but more probably an underpair or a weak(er) K. River is basically blank and V makes a small bet. Is this more pointing at a weak A or a K ? Or even TT, JJ, 9T ?
This game is awesome, should be called "just call anything and collect your money on the river".
Done for the month by the way, -18bb/100 at 5NL. Going to get tested this week, think I might be ******ed.
Sorry to hear about the tough time bud. FWIW, I don't play on stars at all but my key to success in micros has always been to fold versus river aggression and value bet relentlessly.
That said I've never really played above 25NL. I was a MTT/SNG grinder, turned micro NL player, turned casual SSPLO player.
I also play micro NL significantly nittier than the content I'd see on RIO and perhaps even nittier than the opening ranges recommended in Grinders Manual.

A good rule of thumb to follow is that the "bet check bet" line tends to be quite value heavy. I've heard it from many people over the years and its more often right than not (of course, relative to the pot odds you're otherwise getting.)
The sizing is quite small, I guess I would call vs that sizing and fold vs hp.

gl !
Thanks, but I feel that then I would be way overfolding cause they almost all play all hands like that, no ?

Thanks, but I just don't know what a value hand is anymore at this point, I'm serious. TPTK, set, straight ? And if I can only bet these hands, I have to x/f after a flop cbet most of the time. X/calling my straight draws and flush draws also isn't working cause I never get there and get paid off.
Intentionally tightened up today, mainly (I think) by 3betting less, overfolding to aggression and by cbetting less. Maybe this playstyle brings me less in difficult spots and is maybe better suited for this level. Let's see if this is something worth checking out in the next days.
Month is over, best month ever since I started playing. Definitely playing better in some spots since I started reviewing hands with a mate (thanks man !). Added a Stars bonus to the graph, so overall very happy with the results.
My red line looks much beter than about a year ago, learned some new tricks here and there. Noticed that the negative redline is 80% from the BB, see screen below, so that seems like something to look into in the near future.
First shot at 10NL, didn't get slaughtered ). Unbelievable calling station fest, with such bad runouts (4 to a flush so often). Had to fold a lot, see red line, but happy that I at least CAN fold, that was different in the past.
Preflop: Hero is BB with A, K 1 fold, MP raises to $0.15, 1 fold, Button raises to $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.75, MP raises to $1.25, Button calls $1, Hero calls $0.50
Month's over for me. After a 15 buy-in downswing (including some at a higher stake due to tilt) I was able to come back to breakeven, which surprised me actually when I checked this months' graph yesterday. This is a good reminder to myself that you can always come back from a downswing.
First month doing some volume at 10NL (22k hands) and it actually went OK. Not running so well as per EV, but EV-corrected I managed to end up with 2,7bb/100 which I think is not bad for my level of play and my first volume at a higher stake.
3 days off poker now and leaving on Saturday for Curacao, 2 weeks holiday with my girlfriend to relax. Will be back playing around 13th of April. See you later guys.
