Hi all,

So here we go I now own a PG&C thread. I have looked at these threads for years and always wanted to try one, I thought surely people would only wanna watch the big stakes and decent players but who knows maybe u sickos wanna see me go busto or crush it in 2019.

I've been playing poker for a long time. I played tournaments and cash games both online and live but there was never any discipline, goal or path in my playing.

I realized that I had to make a change if I want to keep playing the game I love. Therefor I decided to take poker serious and go all in. It feels incredible to be really involved and take it serious again. I don't really have anyone I can bounce ideas of that much however I have found a fun discord group with a great MTT coach in it that's u @jaylee that motivates me a lot!

You can follow his Facebook page here I like how he thinks even tho it's all over my head: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/...epa=SEARCH_BOX

Here is the link to my Hendon mob for live results I'd list my MTT results but tbh it wouldn't make interesting reading

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=306768

I played 25NL and 50NL Full Ring years! ago ( don't have the database anymore ) I have never had any coaching mainly because my I have never been able to grasp the math/strategy side of the game its always been purely fun for me (bet sizing, ranges, GTO blags my head but I'd like to slowly improve etc.)

I will be focusing on 2NL on 888 poker not sure if I am going to go full ring or six max I will prob try both but if anyone has opinions on either I'm willing to listen

I will try to update this thread daily. I work full time in my own eCommerce store and will do poker on the side. However, I will take it very serious and it will be a steady grind!

My biggest goal is to prove that through hard work, willingness to improve that you can move through the levels the big goal is to be good enough to move out of the UK and do this abroad.

I made a deposit of around $120 so that's 60 buy-ins for 2NL. I plan to start tomorrow or the 1st of Jan 2019 I will follow a strict BRM and only move up the levels when rolled to do so, I will also allow myself a maximum of 2 $120 reloads should **** go south.

Please follow if you are interested in the grind

GL man subbed....

If say the way the poker has gone I would focus on 6mx cash games as the higher you go that's nigh on all that's available tbh.

Can I ask why 888? and not any others like stars, party, GG?

I play cash games myself so interested in this .
I started a new bankroll build a few months ago on stars starting at 2NL and a busy now shotted (for the 3rd time) 5NL...

I follow a fee groups on discord whonare cool to bounce stuff off as I don't have any 'poker friends' or any that are full on and good.

I also recently signed up with a training site (one of the three big ones) took me ages to research and finally try one... WORKED WONDERS FOR ME!!! Instantly made some changes I didn't realise about that were needed...

Run good pal

Heyan, good luck with this, would agree I'm today's games 6kax is the only way full ring is dead and Hella boring haha.

Remember you positing in the coaching advice thread, did you find a coach or go with a training site in the end?

Are you going to be playing snap on 888 or regular tables? Also think you should maybe think up some volume/study goals just to give you something to work towards and keep you accountable.

Cheers for the reply yea so picked 888 because I have looked at the standard and it's shocking however when I need to move up I anticipate I'll need to move to a mainstream site

Not looked at snap is that just there version of zoom?

I have got a membership at RIO so need to look at wat they have for low limit cash (if anything).

In terms of volume goals I will most likely 4 table around 3-6 hours daily no idea what thst will translate to at hands per hour at 6max

As for coaching just didn't see the value of paying upwards of £20 a hour at this level I'm sure they could progress me faster but for now it's just run it once

yeah snap is basically zoom, haven't played much on 888 personally, but if the pool is soft should be all good.

Good luck on your journey mate

So just fired up a mini session today to get the feel for the site etc and see what cash is like only did an hour.

One thing that does bug me and maybe its because I'm a MTT player but 1c/2c which I class as 2NL biggest buy in is $1 max which makes me way over rolled at 120 buys n the next one is 2c/5c with a $5 max which give me 24 buy ins not ideal so bummed at this.

At one point I was down a buy in $2 buying in short stacked at 2c/5c but that was me playing fancy poker at super micros that obv would never work and prob wasn't even fancy to begin with ended the session on a small 18c loss so not all bad as managed to claw it back.
.
Will hit the gym n then grab a nandos and grind some this afternoon

On a side note if anyone knows how to enable the posting of graphs and images on here id be grateful

Last mini session of the day just trying to really get a feel for 888 and stuff decided to drop down to the lowest stake 2 nl where the buy in is only $1 max for some unknown reason ended up pulling my $7 loss out of the gutter to book a small win below are some stats for u stat geeks I know atm there irrelevant but still wanted to post them.

Hands: 445
Hands won: 89 ( 18.82%)
Sessions: 9 w/5 winning sessions
BB/100: 15

Any opinions on volume I should be playing etc or goals that are achievable I mean I can grind 5 days a week 10 hours a day if needed but seems like overkill

So a quick update I have decided to move over to Pokerstars for the cash games I didnt like that u could only buy in for 50BB max over at 888 so withdrawn my roll and will 'deposit it over there instead.

I was going to try Party poker but I believe they no longer allow HUD in cash games other than zoom which is something I'm not currently playing

Hey guys so yea been super lazy so far I have played around 1,500 hands in the last couple of days and commited my first big mistake on the grind.

I was down a few buy in's nothing to write about at 2NL Zoom when I managed to get aces cracked 5 times for stacks all in all I was down around 8 BI and thought XXXX this and insta reg to play 16NL zoom with the intention of just playing like a spewtard

It managed to go well 'thankfully' and I managed to finish the session on a positive not getting all my losses back and 8 buys in profit at 2NL so no damage done but it could have been game over.

I have imposed site restrictions that only let me play 5NL and MTT upto 11 if I decide too in the future.

I friend said to me when I did the crazy 16NL spluge 8 BI is nothing think of it as time lost not money lost if you have the bankroll you can always grind it back but if u lose the bankroll there is no time to grind.
