Daily Update - Monday 12/02/18

Well day 1 is in the books and I wish I had better news... I spent the whole day pissfarting around with emulators trying to get Pokermaster working. I downloaded 2 different emulators, and 4 versions of one particular emulator. That didn't work. I also tried 3 different APKs for Pokermaster and none of them worked either.

Couldn't get a table up all day. Played a bit of 1/2 on PPPoker, was quickly down $260 after like 20 minutes of HU. Came back and finished that session up $7. Felt like playing poker so threw a bit of money into Ignition and lost ~$450.

200 Zone wasn't really running tonight (think I need to play in my AM to get the pool at its peak) so I hardly played there at all.

There were some positives today, however. I signed up to the gym, had a gym session, bought a coffee machine, and watched about 4 hours of Brokenstars' 200z footage.

Gameplan for tomorrow is to try like fk to get Pokermaster working. I'll likely try a bunch of different config settings for Nox emulator since Momo isn't working for me atm.

If that doesn't work, there's a non-zero chance I'll rage quit Pokermaster, snap download Piosolver, and snap request coaching from Brokenstars + maybe 1 other guy so I can shift my focus to Ignition. Because honestly, this Pokermaster ting is tilting tf out of me. I was supposed to play for 8 hours today but instead got maybe 15 minutes of proper volume in all because this app is too spastic to even run.

Will update tomorrow as to how it all goes.

Spoiler:
Pray for OP's sanity

The odds will always favor a man with a plan! GL with the grind. Very interested in hearing what the games are like on these apps.
02-12-2018 , 09:29 PM
Meale dont start off on 200 zone if you are just getting into ignition. try 50nl and get a feel for the games and pools first. They should be very similar imo.
02-12-2018 , 09:51 PM
Lol our grind stations are practically identical down to the 3 PPP/2 PM config on the emulator hahaha. Gl mate, I'm sure I play against you in the games already (on PM anyway), lmk if you're ever in Melbourne and I'm keen to talk/eat
02-12-2018 , 09:52 PM
Also use NOX emulator and download Pokermaster from Google Play for it. Best way imo

Really?

What city are you in?

Paying rent is not burning money at all. If i had a 23 year old kid he would be paying rent to me to stay at home.

Its called growing up.

I'm not sure I've seen so much nit picking of a solid plan before. Everyone has things they indulge in, some people like to drink on the weekend, some like to smoke a pack a day, some like fancy dinners, let the man have his coffee. Life's short.

ye ye that's all nice but at the end of the day, rent in australia is massive and its burning money, so I would say its smarter to swallow your pride and just stay home until you have massive savings especially when your 23. $440 a week is more than half the avg wage in australia,If you work a normal job.

Have you tried MEmu Emulator? I'll PM you a link to a guide I used a few months back which was fairly straight forward and easy.

Hopefully I won't have to go to Ign anyway!

I really wish I could play majority PPPoker but unfortunately I'm only in like 1 club that runs a 3-4 handed 1/2NLH like once a week lmao. :/

Yeah, I've gone with Nox against my will.

What's the point in having massive savings lol? I have 6 months expenses saved as it is and have been and expect to be making a decent living for myself. Location-wise my home is the nut low and TBH I've left it fairly late to have moved out as it is - left home at 22. I made use of the cheap home rent when I was working full time for 8 months. But I'm making like 50% more money now and I'm in no imminent danger of going busto so don't see the logic to being at home.

Yeah, re the emulator discussion. As far as I was aware, Momo is the nuts and Memu/Nox aren't on the same level. But I'm going to have to give an alternaitve to Momo a go since it's fkd atm.

Okay, I THINK I just got PM up and running on Nox. Now I just need to fine tune things a bit and get H2N/Minion running how I want them before I can begin le grind. LFG?@!??

Given the path that you seem to be opting for, I wonder how much due diligence (or research if you prefer) you have done on the somewhat chequered history of unregulated online poker.

As I understand it you will be playing on unregulated sites (???) in a country that has not issued any gambling licences to online poker sites (???). More than happy to be told if I'm wrong - it's just what I read on 2+2.

This is not wildly different to the good ol' US pre Black Friday (15 April 2011, but I'm sure you know that). Are you aware of the history of player deposits on Full Tilt??

Or the history of superusers, collusion, bots etc on unregulated sites?

I get going down that path with a laissez-faire attitude towards risk is fine for a free-wheeling, free-spirited 23 year-old, really I do.

But given the work, and progress, you've put into the live game (where the risks are far more evident, visible and quantifiable) I find this all a little weird.... ....and potentially a backward step.

pokermaster's different man, you don't deposit money, you play with playchips and you deal with agents who you pay if you lose and they pay you your winnings, they also take 5% of every winning sessions as rake (there's no rake on the tables themselves since it's play chips)

Preddy much what xeno said. That said, I'm not playing on credit, I'm essentially depositing into an agent's bank account up front.

Anyway, got PM "working" and have been trying to get H2N working alongside it so I can download HHs and get an accurate HUD. Unfortunately, I may never get H2N working because it doesn't support Facebook login (which is the only login details my agent has provided me with). I also had two of my accounts banned because I accidently attempted to buyin to the same table concurrently a few nights ago.

So it looks like today's another day of fluffing about with no actual volume. Ignition looking more and more appealing by the day. :')

Sweating the chances of getting back to the live grind within one month...I’m wishing you well but honestly don’t think this online **** will work out.
