Always loved your threads, this dosent seem to be any different.

Few questions.

How much more fun is PLO compared to NL?

Would you say its much more enjoyable?

Also, care to point me off in a direction where to start studying this amazing game?

Appreciate it and wish you the best of luck <3

Thanks man

It can be way more fun but like the swings, the fun variance is also much higher
When you crush, the game is beautiful, but when you're getting crushed you kind of want to smash your head on the desk.. So I guess it depends on how well you run

RunItOnce vids and SSPLO forums are a good place to start

Do you feel like your edge is higher playing with a deeper stack in the Zoom games rather than quitting a table after you double and reloading?

Don't even feel like I have an edge this week ;_;

But yeah I think if you do have an edge, it will be higher

Yah, I don't have enough to play 500z and I definitely can't beat 500z at the moment anyway so I might as well play 200z until I have enough and am good enough to play there

Sounds pretty suicidal for me at 200 zoom, let alone 500.
But I would be interested what he suggests for the different stakes.

I play with 200 buy ins at 25 (obv uber-nit)

If you have a ton of money and aren't doing it for a living, 50bi is more than enough for most stakes at 100 or below, and even that's a bit nitty if you're a proven winning player imo

Personally, I'm not playing 500z regularly until I have 150-200bi on Stars

Month so far
Running a bit good at 200z and had a $3.4k day.....

Until I took a shot at 500z and lost basically half the profits in one go
Think I'm playing ok, not the best

Nice start to the month!

When do you decide to take shots at 500z? Do you know the pool well enough to know pretty much exactly when it's +EV or not?
Fishreg crushing bigger fish for billions PLO200-5k Quote
09-05-2016 , 10:37 AM
I only shot-take when I feel like I'm playing well and when the pool is soft
No, I only recognise a few names and it's actually kind of rare that the pool isn't some 9+ to 1 ratio of regs to fish

Do you have a coach? if yes, who is he?
I am also interested about your learn process! You mentioned you watch the RIO videos, and i have read about dome PJ analyzing. What else? How many hours do you learn on avarage?
Fishreg crushing bigger fish for billions PLO200-5k Quote

No I don't have a coach, if I had, I probably wouldn't have been in such a lifetime hole at PLO

That's pretty much it, as well as discussing hands with a friend
I'm not sure how many hours I spend studying. In terms of talking hh's it's quite a lot, but in terms of analysing spots, it's not as much as I'd like

i have no idea why people want to squeeze this kind of AA preflop.. please explain me in detail how are you going to play all the flops. Very rarely someone will give you action on A high flop unless its monotone or has straight possible and he has a better hand than you/some strong draw and on the other ones there are only few flops u can pot/call.

i challenge anyone thinking squeeze pre is better than call to convince me HOW it actually is better.
