If you were to start low stakes PLO today with very basic knowledge of both NLHE and PLO. What would you do/study in order to improve as much as possible with the goal of eventually playing high stakes?

Also, at your current level how much work do you put in away from the tables? What type of study/work do you do to improve your game?

I would play with solvers

With Partypoker not allowing huds/result tracking anymore soon and ACR hud isn't working either it's time to call it a thread I think. I can't really update my results in future because of that so... yah.



This is where the month ended. Pretty happy, played pretty well and if you look at it from that post-HU session on the 1st of May, I made like 100k of EV *shrug*

how much of your action was on stars? Does it make sense to grind up from plo25 to a bankroll?

So a bunch of stuff has happened since I last updated, probably not going to keep up with the updates either after this.

Met a whooole lot of poker players this year, some I'd only known of by name, some I'd spoken to for a long time but never met. Made a lot of new friends this year, so very grateful for that. Went to Barcelona and Amsterdam with a few of them, that was fun. Did shrooms for the first time (freaked out on a bad trip but very eager to try it again lolol).

Started playing a lot more 10k, battling the superstars and whatnot. Crushed for a bit and then got rekt by some people who I thought I have huge edge on. I've checked my database, I actually am winning vs some of the best regs over small-ish samples but get crushed by the "bad" ones hah.

Currently I'm working on my HU game a lot, influenced and inspired through meeting some of the guys. Minor goal is to take on the very best at PLO next year once I have enough of a roll. Major goal is to get on the property ladder (I'd looked at a few apartments this year but downswing midway made me lose motivation).


My last graph was at about 250k-ish hands, pretty busy for the end of the year so I guess I'll call it here even if I'll get a few more hands in here and there.



My best year ever and although I felt bittersweet about how it was turning midway through the year (due to high hopes and unrealistic expectations), I have to learn to be grateful for it.

The thing with mushrooms is you will usually be overwhelmed or feel like it is a bad trip at some point but you usually end up with a good experience. Just do not take them at all if you are really stressed out or depressed about something, that is when it won't be a nice time.
