I can sorta see what he's thinking but it's pretty hard for me to have a bluff from CO.. Like, KJxxhh/QJxxhh where x isn't A/T/9/3?

Hands like these are ones that make me feel like I'm improving
When I started I think I'd have folded exploitably high in these spots but doing work on the side lets me play more confidently here
Spoiler:
Although it's probably completely anecdotal since I'd never think it's interesting and post if I lost

Halfway through August and the month is still meh

I'm +4bb/100 but not really pulling in great sessions atm. Volume is looking decent though, on 47k hands

On the other hand I'm getting the hang of using pokerjuice a bit more. Pretty much hadn't used that program for the 9months that I'd bought it, but it's helping quite a bit now.
Usually start my days by going through a hand or two to warm up and then jump into the grind
I'm trying to play 40min/90min sessions at a time throughout the day, depending on how "hangry" I am. I mean ideally, I shouldn't play on an empty stomach but sometimes I can't really help it and just want to put in hands
The structure is working kind of well for me, and I'm managing to put in 4-6 hours a day of work generally. In the past I've been kind of polarised with my grindtimes and I've either been the type to play 1 hour a day and stop or play 10hours+, but I feel this is slightly more balanced with regards to health&happiness.

Bit of a different post today.

Went hiking yesterday, first time ever! I'm not one for much exercise so it was pretty tough but rewarding, will definitely hike again in future
A few friends and I decided to take a day trip to Wales and hike up Snowdon (highest mountain in Wales), taking the Pyg track on the way up and the easier one on the way down.

Setting off! - Had no idea what we were getting into

Std Wales - These guys are littered everywhere on the mountainside

oHai - Wearing Nike Freeruns up and down the rocky mountain = feelsbadman [you can tell I'm pretty tired already hah]

Doggie - tons of them on the hike, breezing through it like it ain't no thang - was more than halfway by this point

Dude was a trooper - the kid and his family started after us and finished the trail before us!

Views from the top

End of the day

The whole hike up and down took 7 hours-ish, including a lot of breaks. We were much slower than the average though. Not as sore today as I expected to be, and thoroughly enjoyed it, much different from the routine of a daily grind. Possibly looking to try more outdoorsy things in future!

Back to poker: I don't think I'm putting as much volume this afternoon, generally play pretty bad when I jump straight in, so I'm going to open up Pokerjuice, go through some hands in DB & forums first. Will probably try to get at least 2 hours in tonight

Of course

Spoiler:
jk, you just kinda get used to the fact that winning/losing 10bi in a day isn't so rare

Yeah that's fair enough! I'd reccomend Peny Fan in South Wales too, it's a really good hike, probably a bit easier than Snowdon though

Well, I guess he's making +ev calls pre and on the flop so it seems ok

--------------------------------------

Played like **** yesterday and that was really annoying.
I don't really mind when I lose flips, it's when I just play like an idiot that it feels bad
Usually when this used to happen, I'd take a day or two off because I'm afraid of tilting off some stacks. I hadn't done that for a while, but yesterday was probably the closest to it.
Did manage to recollect my thoughts after a night's rest though so back on the grind today!
Unfortunately, it means I'm pretty much back to b/e on the month again, but ah well. Just gotta remember life is one big poker session, not just a month-to-month graph
