^Thanks, let's hope so!

Currently winning on the month but it seems very hard fought.
My graph looks like I'm having a heart attack month atm
Seems like everytime I've posted a brag-graph so far this month, I get doomswitched the very same night hah so I feel like I'm not gonna post one today

Dropped $5k last night at the 500z tables within.. an hour or so? And won back $2k of it within 13minutes today. Lolswings, eh?

Some hands from last night. Won't put any hands from the upswing today, maybe it'll help me rungood for the next week...

Vs reg, can't tell if he's good or not yet. Definitely tough and gets on my tits though. Not sure if I like my bluff either but ah well, just mad at Stars for bricking me and shoving I guess.

Finding the 500z immensely more difficult than 200. Not a tremendous amount of involvement in the latter though. Curious to get your thoughts on it.

Not sure if there's any other possible line of thought besides "I agree" haha.
500z is going to be way more difficult than 200z as a given, and is the toughest game I currently play

Side note, had no idea you played 500z!

Saying I "play" 500z is probably stretching things a little. I've dabbled in it but it's been a long time since I've derived a primary income from poker, and anything less than 100% commitment in that pool is probably not optimal.

Ahh I see. Haha yea, need to get used to the dynamics with the regs

----------

Spotted aejones at the tables within the past couple days, that was a nice surprise. Haven't played a hand with him since the ol' NLHE days.

According to PT4, I put in 9 hours yesterday at the tables though I really doubt it. 4.8k hands in total and I think 4.2k of it at 500z.

^From mini-session I put in whilst laying in bed hah. Ran a bit good as you can see.

Currently +$10k for the month. Definitely on track for the $40k month and obviously going to hit it.
----------

My girlfriend's got me into this running thing lately and I've gone with her a couple times. Background info, I am a potato and rarely move. The only exercise I do regularly is bouldering (which I started about 8 months ago).

So the first time I joined her, I ran maybe 200 metres down the road before succumbing to a stitch (obviously because I ate a kimbap roll 5 minutes earlier..). Yesterday, I actually got to 1km before that damn stitch came back. Short for you guys but for me it's an achievement. Never really been able to run far and have always been envious of people who could

Lifetime goal is to be able to run the London Marathon someday, but maybe end of year goal would be to be able to run 5 miles. Didn't really think of making recordings of my fitness in this thread but I may as well keep track of it somewhere.

------

Time to put in a session! GL all!

Have fun with the running, but keep it easy in the beginning. Running is pretty hardcore on your joints. I would recommend starting with regular walks and mixing in running for a short time. Especially when you're a bit overweight it's worse for your joints.

I've started running regularly (50k a week) in the beginning of this year but I got problems with my right thigh couple months ago. Yesterday and today I went to an orthopedist and they x-rayed my hip. Outcome is I have a genetic predisposition with my hip joints, which is pretty bad for sports like running. Makes me kind of sad, because I really enjoyed running through nature but what can you do. Swimming and cycling is good tho.

Have fun with it and good luck reaching your 40k month! I'll join you in a year or so in the 500z pool and above

Will keep that in mind! Also, I'm not actually overweight despite being a potato, just skinny-fat asian kid haha

Holy, that's a lotta running in just a single week. Sounds like a really sucky. Have you had any sort of rehab to try to improve it?

Haha thanks

Weird thing today. 500z ran really early for some reason, I usually have to grind either 200z or other sites at this time of day.

Managed to get into the pool for the few moments that it seemed really good (only a few super good regs, bunch of okay regs and one or two big boys).

Pretty fortunate that I landed in one of the big pots with the biggest whale of the pool at the time

Re:Fitness

Thought I was fine after that run. Turns out my legs were jelly the next day, and not only that, we were about to head for a bouldering session. Didn't have the best session there (my dynos were looking horrendous haha), was super packed cause it was post-9-to-5-work-hours.

Supposed to put in a run today/tomorrow but I honestly have no idea how I'm gonna recover in time. Anyone got tips on how to increase recovery, or am I just gonna have to wait for my body to adjust to it?

About running - just start out really easy. If you haven't done any in years, it might be a good idea to start just with long walks for a few days and only then add running. And about running - it is really important to keep the intensity low. Most amateurs make the mistake of running way too fast, because running slow looks g ay, but they are too weak to run fast enough for the training to show any effect on overall fitness level. So they end up always running in this middle zone which has pretty much no positive effect. A good starting point for slow runs is to run at intensity to be able to talk freely without losing breath - if you can, than intensity is good. Top athletes do like 90% of their trainings in this low intensity (yet they can run like 4:30 min/km this way nevertheless).

Another thing I'd suggest is doing some core excercises 15-30 min at home most days.

And if your body feels tired - just take another day off. It's all about recovery (not the no pain/no gain bs). If you push your body, you'll just end up with a injury and that'll be it.

GL on both running & PLO, been following your thred as I've switched to the Great Game as well!

Definitely gonna try this next time I run. Last time, I ended up trying to keep up pace with the gf & flatmate and it was pretty tough.

Thanks man, and GL with the transition too

Yeah sick one, can probably get away folding river in that hand though. Like yeah it's kinda sick but it's a move a lot of pros aren't working into their game, they just shrug and pay it off. However I think if they really put in those extra hours in the lab they'll be able to one day make the big river folds needed to make them true end bosses.

On to the next one though

Btw **** PLO I don't have the balls for this ****, call me a cuck all you want but I'm staying away from the the the great game...

Swingy day as usual, went through another 10bi swing. Nearly went full circle and end the day on $0 but saved it with a casual session at 3am laying in bed. It was prob the most tired I'd ever been playing poker, literally had to be woken up every hand by the beep on Stars haha

----

Went for a run yesterday too and thanks to the tips in the thread, I managed to actually finish the quick route I was previously running on. Only 2 miles with a break halfway, but I'm very proud of that small personal achievement haha.

Haven't played any hands today thus far, friends still round, went for a bouldering session instead. Won't be able to put thaaat many hands today, heading out for dinner but might be able to put in 3k hopefully.

Also pretty insane how I don't win that
Shame since it's the biggest pot I've played both BB & $$-wise in a while.

Got a bit smashed today
I *feel* like I played ok for most of it, don't believe that I tilted but hard to tell until I go through some of the session.

Also sat in the 2k zoom pool for about 3 orbits before coming to my senses. Realised that I didn't know who the fish was and promptly packed my bags.

----

Feeling good though despite the bad day. Went for a run today with the flatmates, finally managing to get through that run without a stitch [2.2miles today in 20minutes]. Had a walking break about halfway through, I guess the next goal would be to run it fully without that rest! Think we're running again on Thursday, think the recovery time is getting better too
