Is this what you call GTO kalkulations?
06-14-2017 , 05:35 PM
lmao, what you are studying and why are you not taking off years to focus on poker while poker is still alive?

that math looks so tilting, and I myself have already almost finished all uni maths courses in engineering, are you a ****ing rocket scientist or something?

Economics. I mean, I started my studies at a time I didnt even play poker. I want to finish my bachelor now obv. Yeah I give up on poker EV, but until December pro was no option at all, and when u have that "little" left u obv also want to finish it. Will delay my master if I will do one, not sure about it will see what the next years will bring.

ahahahah u are right man, it is tilting like ****. it´s open book exam, and we still all fear to fail xd

Agree that at this point its best to just stick it out. With the way poker has been progressively getting worse over the years it would always be nice to have something to fall back on just in case. Hopefully that never has to happen but good for you for finishing school, best of luck man,

Math is a wonderful thing and solving long and hard equations can actually be really really fun, not to sound like a complete nerd.

What's this light grinders thing? I see it at 50z and 100z I thought it might be a CFP type thing but i'm not sure.

Why masters btw? Generally most industries view a BSc followed by experience and an investment qualification such as IMC as more favourable from my experience.

Not sure what industries u are refering too. But my experience is a different one. Can be variance I guess

I mean I don't really need a Master degree cause my path After poker wont change to it. But, having an excuse to go Degen 2 years to Barcelona or Lisbon doesnt seem too bad .
Nothing is more enjoyable than student life imo. When I had erasmus in Lisbon, best 6 months of my life <3

I looked into doing a masters until I realised if you have a decent undergrad degree it really isn't worth it. Investment banks, hedge funds and roles in auditing generally require specific qualifications to advance and having a masters isn't required. Only time I'd look at masters is if I wanted to teach or if my undergrad deg. wasn't up to scratch. Curious as to what you're looking at doing that requires a masters.

Either way you have plenty of time
To think about it whilst crushing the poker!

The biggest requirement to advance is that h are **** good in what u do. Better than ur colleagues. Having the degree etc is just needed to get the job, afterwards it wont help u.
There several jobs at least in Lux u just can do by having a master. Teacher in economics, revisor, and some other ones.

To work in a hedgefund u basically need no degree at all, u learn this by doing mainly and having a sicko who shows u the skillz . But here again, u prob need it to get the job.

Undergrad degree you need to get your foot in the door with most financial institutions. Masters generally doesn't help much with most. If you ain't looking to go down teaching, masters just seems an unattractive option to me. You're better off studying CFA, CIMA or start on ACCA if you have a specific financial industry you're looking to have a career in imo.

i've not got a single gcse/a level/uni qualification yet i still held a nice position (that required a finance degree (did it fk)) before i quit to travel in 2k15... like lux said, you just need to be good at your job. unless you specifically need the degree (ie teacher surgeon etc) then uni isn't required, so long as you have a strong cv (work exp/referrals) and are not an idiot
06-17-2017 , 10:37 AM
Sick thread bro! I am wondering how many hours you play and study during a week/month?

Everyone on my team holds an economics based degree, and every single job I looked to apply to required minimum 2.1 degree in finance. The vast majority of London finance jobs require a solid degree minimum nowadays.

Also yeah I get what you mean, I'm sure you have good references and exp. The point I'm making is doing a masters didn't seem worth it unless wanting to go into teaching or a similar role.

It's worth it to have 2 **** amazing years which u won't ever have working

$ is not (at least not for me) the only thing in life which makes u happy, prob not even close to the top

I understand now that was a big reason I wanted to do masters - poker, uni life, continue living with the boys etc

If that's your reason then just go full poker imo. More enjoyable and more dollar. Then re-evaluate after some time going 100% poker.

To accomplish something extraordinary one must have an extraordinary dream, a goal so high, a journey so demanding, that it's achievement to most seems impossible

You get that from a fortune cookie?
