Hello there, my name is Taylor and I'm a musician by night and office administrator by day in Western Canada. But here I have my poker hat on and I'm known as "FattieQ" on Pokerstars. I'm about as degen as they come, I've played everything poker-wise and done poorly at most of it. I'm the dolt with the Canadian & Netherlands flag avatar that you've probably seen donking about in micro tourneys & O8 everythings. One of my piano contracts just ended, and as I have no life and some money to burn, this time I'm going to try to play 5PLO zoom. Like many other degens before me I'm forcing myself to update here every now and then in hopes I will stay focused and keep working. I also love TonnaMunz's vlogs so if I happen to feel particularly entertaining, I can do those too. Will post link(s) if I do that.

Actual goals:

Longterm:
- Longterm? Become Supernova. Those red stars are just so enticing. Plus the boss-mode luck run-good that comes with it of course.

Shortterm:
- STUDY. ACTUALLY STUDY. MY GOSH FOR GOODNESS SAKE STUDY.
- Get out of micro-stakes land so I don't hate myself so much. Even get to 10PL would be a mammoth of a win.
- Make my graph do the thing where it goes up instead of the thing I'm used to right now which is where it goes down.

And hey if it doesn't work I'll just disappear like Isildur's backers. (zing.. okay crickets). I'll disappear like Norman Chad's stand up audience! No? I'll disappear like my roll the last several times! (alright nobody's laughing but me, but that's very funny I promise).

Got monkeyfricked pretty hard, tilted even harder . After a very quick review of some of the players I was playing with (really easy to do in PT4, underestimated I think) and a general deep breath and realizing the VPIP is usually around 32%, I realized it was time to nit up and man up. Notably, stop playing hands that look pretty and start playing hands that work well. Also less O8 hands like 3456, unless it's 4 ways or something and the price is so good. I also bought Stars Helper to show chips stacks & bet sizings in bb instead of chip value, and I think it's helped me to stop calling 3bets so much when you see the sizing in plain english.

Spoiler: it worked! And I won a whole bunch of money.
