Hey all, not an interesting week at all for me, a lot of working, feeling all holiday-ish this month in general… I had some up and down days at poker, overall small profit.

Yeah, I'll post it at the end of year.

I started week with almost a record day only to hit 2 stop losses afterwards. That's how it's basically almost whole month, making small profit overall. Besides poker I visited our capital city Ljubljana with my wife and friends to see it in Christmas spirit. We also went on a lunch in restaurant Soba 102 owned by one of Slovenian singer. Ambient was fine, just that I'm not that fond of fancy food cos first of all you get to little on the plate and second of all, they give those funny names to food and you never know what you're getting so i just look for word chicken and i order.

Since Christmas and new year are behind the corner, i'll come back next time with a yearly recap, until then... GL to all!

It was misclick

It's hard to remember all things that happened trough the year, especially at the beginning of it since it feels that all the major changes happened to me near end of it.

This year was definitely the breaking one for me because I've accomplished two major goals of this blog:

F***k my sh**ty job…:

This happened kinda suddenly since I always said that, despite earning way more with poker than with my job, I still need some financial security, either by savings or steady income since I have a family to look after. It's not that poker is not a steady income, it's just that I'm still kinda old fashioned /tight/safe thinking when it comes to that.
I was pretty fed up with my old job so it wasn't that hard to accept Gordons offer to work for/with him in BPC community. So in the end I did quit my old job and got my self another one, which should be much more fulfilling and actually something I wish to do. It gives me financial stability that I mentioned before and at the same time helps me with poker, since poker isn't just cards and a table for me anymore. I won't discuss what exactly I'll be doing for BPC but what I do like the most is being my own boss concerning the time management. So, yup, that's right, the man who helped me in the beginning did it again and I look forward to work with him in the future.

… Family man on a hunt for money:

Another achievement is earning enough this year so that I have enough to pay out my part of CFP. I still have some coaching available so I will definitely use it and I'm sure we'll find a way to work on that part together afterwards as well.
Once again Gordon proved that he can turn someone into a winning player if only the player is committed to it. I'm very grateful for that and at the same time I also wish to thank rest of BPC people who have been part on my journey so far, especially Daniel with whom I've been working closely trough this time and wish to continue so in the future.

Now it's time for me to pass some of that knowledge to my students and therefore give back to community. So far this has been a pleasure experience and they are showing improvement and good results which is another satisfaction you can get in poker.

As far as my money plan goes my first thing is to build solid BR only for poker which i don't touch and then finding a way for investment. First one is probably a house.

And to end this year here is yearly graph pre rakeback:

Aiming for better one next year and wishing you all happy/productive/healthy New Year!

Holidays/slacking is over, well i was playing during that time, but took more off time than usual and it's time to start working harder. I've been thinking a lot lately about organization and i find out that it's going to be a challenge to get it all done.

First of all I wish to wake up every day at 7am which is pain in the ass for me since I'm not a morning person. 7:40 was fine by me before but i wan't to wake up at 7am and start working out right away for cca. 20 min every day, before taking my kids to school, come back, eat breakfast and start working at 8am. That is smth i couldn't do before cos of the ****ed up work schedule, now i wanna have this routine: wake up at 7am and go to bed at 24h or latest at 1am, depends how my body will react to it after some time.

Don't know much about sleeping and all but i guess 7h (or even 6h later) should be enough - i hope so.

As far as workout goes, i don't wanna go to crazy in anything and i found out about this 10 minute trainer from Tony Horton which is just enough for now.

About the diet: looking for some plan. Things to look after:

- i don't wanna loose weight I'm 180cm tall and i have 83-85kg and I'm fine with 5kg extra, if i loose them or not is whatever to me

- i guess i'll be needing a 7 days plan for 2k calories per day with this schedule:

This is the hardest for me to make, so if anyone already has something similar planned for the week or two, please share cos i want to prepare some of the food in advance to loose less time on this.

Those are my goals for the upcoming days: wake up, workout, healthier diet... and if we are making goals, I've also made a goal with my wife to have sex at least 365 times in this year :d

following a diet yet only having 6-7hrs of sleep a night makes absolutely no sense as you have to remove time for falling alseep

getting more sleep and losing the diet would work better

I do have problems falling asleep, like I stay a wake at evening even if I wake up early and I do feel tired, what do you suggest?

Losing the diet in what way? Eating 5 times? Why? How is this related?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There you go, epic fail in the beginning. Didn't wake up on time, but 15min later, so i didn't workout nor did I eat properly. Basically i woke up, prepared kids, drive them to childcare, made some breathing exercise, make coffee, no breakfast and hit the tables for 8h straight with 1h of coaching in between. No need to tell you, that when my wife and kids came home and i looked away from the computer and it was like room was spinning. Afterwards i ate 7eggs with sausage and then tortillas like 2h before bed. Same thing today with waking up and no breakfast, luckily but sux otherwise, i hit stop loss 2.5h in the session. So now i can focus on other stuff.

I'll cancel this morning workout goal right away as it gives me too much complication/pressure in the morning and rather do the exercise during the day. Sounds like quitting but i just want it to tweak so that all fall in some place.

sleep
is
the
most
important
thing
for
your
health
.

everything else is second to it. Even tardbodybuilders's main priority is their sleep.

Get rid of coffee. Green tea is 3$/100 packs at asian grocerie stores. Limit coffee to weekends.
Stop eating so much meat. should be 20% meat 80% fruit/vegs. you can still enjoy as much meat taste, just lower the amount of it.

Switch to a quick effective workout like stronglift 5x5. Takes about 20-25mins. Easy to do right after or before lunch then you're back home for your grind.

get some nootropics(helps with sleep as well) and some hemp seeds/hemp protein powder

follow this and all your problems are 100% gone.

Falling asleep is natural and people who arent easily falling alseep have unhealthy lives(yet most do not know because healthy lives advertised in the western world are NOT healthy)

I was given so many advises, also in other blogs, that i really don't know what's right or wrong now. I didn't knew that is now wrong (again) to have at least 5 meals per day, but i guess all is possible. Like when not so long ago doctors started advising giving D3 drops (you know the one substituting D vitamin for babies) to kids from birth til 18 years of age. I mean c'mon, my mother didn't give it to me at all, so i didn't give it to my kid, instead i rather took him out to get some sun.

So yeah, i won't worry about it anymore. I'm just gonna eat some cereals for breakfast, then lunch, and not so late dinner. If i get hungry in between I'll eat some apple or banana (or fish ). I'm gonna add workout during the day and won't time commit to it. I'll adjust things later if I'd feel its necessary, like said if you try to change to many things at once it's doomed to failure. Like in poker, if Gordon would said all stuff in the beginning of coaching, this project wouldn't came so far. So adding step by step and you get to the end - proven stuff that work so i'll stick to it.

Adding workout next week and see what happens. I'm positive now I'll actually do it.

D is important if you're from the north as we really don't get enough sun exposure during the winter.

Kids go to school, come home its already dark. Super unhealthy.

A lil bit crazy on my side, new work, poker, students… you name it. I don’t think I’ve ever read so many mails before than in last couple of days. My mind goes from one thought to another – quite challenging!

In poker I’m not doing so good, almost break even for the month, being delt bottom of 25% hands for most of the time and when ever I’m not, decent hands have like 25% on boards – lol. More frustrating than losing all ins and ****.

It happened again, my wife called for lunch and I just couldn't go away from the table with an excuse "But this guy is a donk and it's NL400!"

I ****ing hate my self atm, not because i ran like ****, so he could took some money from me and then left. Not because of that at all but because I've told myself before that when it's family time, it's family time and donks are gonna be there when you come back and so just stand up and leave the table! But noooo, i didn't do it again and it burns cos it feel like old habit coming back. And i hate that, so there is nothing to do but go from the beginning and repair this. Gonna put timer in browser that alarms me every 30 min to have a self control tilt check and then mandatory pause every 2h for 10 min.

Think this is the deepest pot played by me.

$2 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players

Hero (SB): $513.36
BB: $889.70 (VPIP: 91.39, PFR: 70.33, 3Bet Preflop: 52.94, Hands: 234)

Hero posts SB $1.00, BB posts BB $2.00

Pre Flop: (pot: $3.00) Hero has 8 A

Hero raises to $4.00, BB raises to $6.00, Hero calls $2.00

Flop: ($12.00, 2 players) 6 4 8
BB bets $11.50, Hero calls $11.50

Turn: ($35.00, 2 players) 3
BB bets $34.50, Hero calls $34.50

River: ($104.00, 2 players) 6
BB bets $837.70 and is all-in, Hero calls $461.36 and is all-in

Spoiler:
BB shows K 5 (One Pair, Sixes)
(Pre 36%, Flop 29%, Turn 25%)
Hero shows 8 A (Two Pair, Eights and Sixes)
(Pre 64%, Flop 71%, Turn 75%)
Hero wins $1,026.22

Of course you can't leave in the middle of a game, but you can tell your wife you can do lunch in 20 minutes after you stack this donk for $400. Then after the heads up match shut the table down and go to lunch.

THere will always be another donk when you get back...

Yeah, the classic being stuck or not wanting to leave .

I think there is a time for not leaving and putting it priority #1 ... You can tell your wife that if you don't play there's no food tomorrow lol. Or buy some flowers (code word for xxx toys) and make up for it

My personal decision back in the days was to reach a financial target and after that be punctual on the other obligations.

Yeah, sometimes are moments when you can say not now and it's gonna be fine by her, but sometimes it's better to stand up and leave the table

Let’s summarize this month quickly.

It was a month of a lot of changes as I started working here and all new stuff felt overwhelming at the beginning but now I’m getting more and more into doing things so it’s less stressful. Also felt like i have no personal life anymore since it was hard to me to unplug my self from work and poker overall. It’s no where near perfect yet but i’ll find correct balance to manage it and that all is gonna be a pleasure.

At the moment my youngest is sick and is just a matter of time since i get too as I already feel some pain in bones and have major nose leaking.

Poker: It was one of those months when it feels like many things didn’t connect, like distractions outside of poker, running bad, not as much time to play, etc… so in the end i booked only 3.5k of profit even tho PT4 say 750??? Yeah, til last update I’m missing a lot of hand importing.

Going to a lunch with my brother and then to his party, since he had a BD and came on short vacation from a peace mission.

Let’s own next month!

Perfect start of the month... NOT!

Started with being sick, so i was laying in the bed not being able to do nothing. Finally feeling better so i fired up tables and it didn't take long to hit stop loss. I'm satisfied with my play as they where mostly set ups unfortunately on nl400-600. Sometimes it feels like that when a room doesn't like it just doesn't and you can't do anything but feed her and wait til it says thank you and starts giving back

No changes on my part for the rest of the week. I guess I'm happy cos it could be worse, but i managed to grind back so I'm finishing week with -1k. I did drop down limits for a while and cut some tables, I need some focus time.

I've got some rhythm back with all, but now I'm facing a move to another apartment which is again going to mess up everything for a while. It's still a long way for everything to be in a place. At tables was BE for a while, starting to get some winnings back. Will see where it will go.

Previous week was decent, managed to recover losses and made some profit. It could be better ofc as I'm still running kinda bad, but OK. My move to another flat must come sooner than expected so I'm fully occupied with getting all things done. Can't wait this is over and it hasn't even started for real. This would be my 11 move to different place overall in my life. I feel like a nomad. Sadly and hopefully it's not last move as I do wish to be moving into my own house as last.

Majority of stuff moved (the big ones), now I’m left with this working space for next three days, until I get internet in new flat.
