Hi, again!

This is about me, a family guy (married, with 3 kids, one just recently born) with a job, that i'm not satisfied at all, and a wish to earn some fkn money. I mean i'm grateful that i have a job, cos things in our country are going to sh*t anyway, but i don't wanna just barely get trough the month and wonder how are things going to be next month or beg my car not to die, etc...

Anyway, for those who are interested about my beginnings it all started in February 2012 with free 50$ from PS. I build my roll step by step with FR SnG's at first and then later switched to SH SnG's when i was last seen playing 20-30 BI's.

So you can imagine that my attempt at HU wasn't spectacular at first, but I didn't want to quit cos i fell in love with the format.

I knew i have to try harder, so i excepted his challenge and started blogging for 60 straight days and applied for challenge. I'm not exactly a material he was looking for, you know I'm old (30y lol) and i have obligations (family) and a job. I couldn't just quit my job, cos I do have family to take care of and not a lot of money on the side. Luckily my kiddo was born few days ago, which gave me opportunity to take a unpaid vacation from work for at least next 90 days.

I guess he like challenges too, cos he accepted me and now I'm writing this to show that even someone like me can do it!

So let's see previous month:

What can I expect to see here?

Well hopefully my climbing up the stakes with some good results.

Some biggest winning/loosing hands of the session.

Occasionally some homework, like this one:

i folded KQo and rather called A5o, so i had to do the equity homework...

Hero (BB): $104.26 (208.5 bb)
SB: $34.19 (68.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5 A
SB raises to $34.19 and is all-in, Hero calls $33.69

Flop: ($68.38) T 7 T (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: ($68.38) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($68.38) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:
Spoiler:
$68.38 pot ($1.50 rake)
Final Board: T 7 T 8 2
Hero showed 5 A and lost (-$34.19 net)
SB showed T 9 and won $66.88 ($32.69 net)

Equity training:

suited hands add ~ 3%
A5o vs 43o = 65:35 (both cards under)
KQo vs 43o = 64:36 (both cards under)

A5o vs T4o = 64:36 (one under, one over)
KQo vs T4o = 68:32 (both cards under)

A5o vs J7o = 59:41 (two cards in between)
KQo vs J7o = 68:32 (two cards under)

A5o vs KJo = 54:46 (two middle connected cards)
KQo vs KJo = 74:26 (dominated hand)

A5o vs A3o = should be 74:26? Wow, it's only 56:44 cos of split possibility
KQo vs A3o = 42:58

A5o vs A9o = 33:67
KQO vs A9o = 42:58

A5o vs AKo = i'd say 12:88 ... wow 28:72, even without wheel its 26:74
KQo vs AKo = same here ...again 26:74, even K2o has 23:77

A5o vs 44 = 45:55
KQo vs 44 = 47:53

A5o vs 88 = 30:70
KQo vs 88 = 46:45

A5o vs KK = 30:70
KQo vs KK = 9:91

A5o vs AA = 8:92
KQo vs AA = 14:86

So there you have it.

A5o vs KQo call; 4:7 points.

Conclusion in the future lean towards high cards rather than low A.

That's that.

This month started great, except of today when i reached stop loss for the day.

Nothing worked, was getting raised, reraised, hitting top of their ranges, board crazy runouts, you name it. On top I was owned by one fish at first and took me some time to figure him out. Eventually i won his money, but room took 1,5BI of rake.

Stop loss is set for 5BI with additional 2, if i feel fine and don't make stupid mistakes aka go on tilt, which i didn't.

And we are back.

We are not going on vacation this year, mostly because of a newborn and my challenge. I wasn't even thinking about that until today. My second daughter is crazy about animals and we always try to find something new. So we found this beauty...

Don't know why, looking at her it reminds me of tropical islands even tho we later found out that it's a caterpillar who is very common especially in late summer in eastern North America, as far west as Texas, Colorado, and Alberta.

Obviously in Slovenia too

Funny name tho Orgyia

Reached another stop loos of the day, this time 5BI and i wont continue playing cos i don't feel i'm making right moves. We had a nice profit wise yesterday so we are still in green since last update.

I have ~ 5h left to play tomorrow, then we wrap up this week and enjoy rest of the weekend.

Finished the week with almost BE day (half BI up).

Sad that i hit stop loss on two days, but that's poker and i like this "Tomorrow is another day" discipline.

Well, i'm gonna enjoy rest of the weekend so i'll finish up quick;

Not an interesting start of the week. Ups and downs, small loss in hem and small profit otherwise cos i managed to clear some bonuses.

Today i had longest session so far without a break, 6h 20min. Dizziness and eyes hurting are gone so it looks like i adapt to that

Played **** load of hands just to sponsor the rooms

Tomorrow we are hitting NL100 for the first time!

Not a good start at NL100 over last two days, mostly running bad or whatever...

I do have some stupid call to post, just to punish myself and to remember not to do this leveling again, without proof...

SB: $99 (99 bb)
Hero (BB): $111.45 (111.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 8
SB raises to $2, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($4) 8 3 J (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $2, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($8) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $4.50, Hero raises to $17, SB calls $12.50

River: ($42) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $28, SB raises to $78 and is all-in, Hero calls $50

Results:
Spoiler:
$198 pot ($1 rake)
Final Board: 8 3 J 6 5
SB showed 3 3 and won $197 ($98 net)
Hero showed 6 8 and lost (-$99 net)

I do like to punish donks tho...

BB: $115.45 (115.5 bb)
Hero (SB): $174.71 (174.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 2 4
Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2

Flop: ($6) 2 4 4 (2 players)
BB bets $4.50, Hero raises to $12, BB calls $7.50

Turn: ($30) 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $19.50, BB calls $19.50

River: ($69) K (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $140.21 and is all-in, BB calls $80.95 and is all-in

Results:
Spoiler:
$230.90 pot ($0.50 rake)
Final Board: 2 4 4 6 K
BB showed 3 5 and lost (-$115.45 net)
Hero showed 2 4 and won $230.40 ($114.95 net)

that 68s hand, I think that's a c/c or b/f on the river. What hand are you beating that raises you?

It's been a swingy week with a lot of volume (at least for me). I had pretty good day yesterday, my cards held, managed to suck out couple of times and i finished up 518$.
Today i was left only with short session cos i managed to grind ~ 9,5h per day during the week.

Good stuff: no stop losses, moving up (mixing) to NL100, improving my game with daily coaching

Bad stuff: almost BE week, not a good start at NL100, getting sloppy while 4 tabling

During the weekend, i'm gonna go trough all coaching vids and enjoy it with my family as usual.

Have a nice weekend, all!

maybe you shouldn't 4 table nl100 until you can beat it?

Yeah it's one of my next week goals, only 2 tabling NL100 and 3 tabling NL50.

You've got something wrong there kushm4sta, It's not 9,5 per hour in earnings but hours played per day during the week. Hourly was just 2,38$ :/

Weekend was sweet and short and we are back at grinding. I must confess that i tilted on Monday, there you go I said it. Not in the way that I broke something or loose my BR, but it was enough that i forced things and make wrong decisions. I guess i'll have to accept that things can go wrong for longer period of time.

Just when i thought i'll cover all losses from yesterday, it didn't take long and things went south again. Nothing worked in my favor, but hey, what can you do. At least i didn't tilt today.

Swings continue for last couple of days, good thing that day was saved by some crazy French guy/girl on NL100.

You never know where are you going to end with those guys. 7-10bb open, 3b every hand, over pot c-bets and 3 barreling everything

I feel so much better when i'm one-two tabling at most. I'll keep that way for a while.
