Anyhoo, graph of so far this month...

GL.

I skimmed this thread and didn't really see what site you play on.

Are you playing on Lock, Carbon, or are you lucky enough to be in Canada and can play FT or PS...

Lucky indeed!

I feel much better cos coach found only few minor mistakes while we were reviewing hands from bad day. It gave me new push to keep doing things as thought, with of course some improvements.

Often when i was grinding alone, i doubt my play and having no one to tell you leaks kinda sucked, despite sending hands to forums, talking with other guys and etc. Is just not the same. Feeling of having someone to look over you is great.

Week is over and it's time for some graphs.

All in all i think best learning method is marking hands during the play, not just the big pot ones, but also smaller ones which occur frequently and then questioning what to do with different holdings or potential play on later streets.

Recording my self was kinda disastrous cos my mouth couldn't keep up with my thoughts, maybe i'm a woman , or maybe i played to many tables. I still think it can be good for finding out dynamic spots that are missed or some missed opponent leaks in game play. I'll give it one more try, but with max 2 tables.

See ya next week!

My unpaid leave is over and i'm back at work. Luckily there it's an off season atm at work which means less work and me not being tired, plus some time for study!

Hate to say it but quitting my job is not an option atm. I do have family to take care of and while i clearly see, that there can be more money made in poker i just don't feel security or confidence atm. If i was alone, then it's easy, i'd just say **** it and move somewhere cheaper and not care. In order to quit my job, i wish to have some savings, you know as is it proper thing to do, if you wish to go pro (in situations like mine) and feeling comfortable w my game. If you wanna talk numbers is like 6 month of salary beside, clean bank account and avg of 5-7k earnings per month w poker.
Now this can happen real quick or whenever.

For now i'll do both things cos i have support of my family and even more will to make this happen. I'll also have option to work part time before next season so grinding mode is on!

Tnx, pitapita!

So far managing both things (poker and work) are going well, small sample tho

Not much to say, grind is going normally except one session w coach when we had pretty swingy session on NL200. Was down like 4BI against one guy but in the end managed to get most of it back. I still feel my heart pumping when i open NL200 table but then again same was with NL100 and now i'm quite comfortable there.

Sometimes i get confused while spreading myself from NL50-200 w bet sizes. I'm like how much is 4 bet here?

Weekly report:

I feel great, i was watching some of my old plays and i'm amazed how much i improved in knowledge, maybe not so much money wise (running a little better on higher limits would help tho...), but knowing how to play in certain spots is getting better and better.

I'm rewatching all videos from our coaching and writing down things. Loving it.

Graph of the week: (notice the NL200 battle? )

I am in a similar position to you playing poker, working and supporting your family and know that it can be tough to find the time to balance everything. Keep up the good work your results are great and your hard work will benefit your family in the future.

Tnx RB87, i imagine a lot of guys are in similar situation. Yap, for the future of family! Best of luck to you too!

I have a lot more videos to go trough again, which is great. So whenever i'm home i grind and whenever i'm not i find a way to study.

Recently i finished watching Firefly series with a movie Serenity on top. Real shame that it ended so soon.

I prefer waiting till whole series is complete, like Dexter is now, so me and my wife can enjoy it every evening without waiting for next part release.

I do how ever have 2 series that i can't wait so long - The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory.

I had a day off yesterday, well at least poker wise. Today i managed to grind ~6h before i went to work for a night shift. I'll be home tomorrow at ~7am, driving my kids to day care, then off to sleep till 12am. Wake up, pick up my kids and grind for like 5-6h till evening.

First time trying this now that i'm back at job. Let's see how i feel after.

It's been a while since i've hit stop loss for the day, but here it is. I think i played fine, so does coach, so i have to learn to run better

Lately my HM2 is getting slow, like when i have multiple rooms open and playing 4 tables it's almost impossible to open note and write smth in it... does anyone else have similar experience?

One room particularly hates me, here is the graph from beginning, till now:

And we are again back on roller coaster. One day disaster, next day superb and back to funny ****. Good thing that i have planned only short session today, cos i'm sick of runnouts today. I mean

I've noticed that i've been whining for last couple of days, not good, not good at all. I'm writing here this to remind my self to stop. I've been also playing to many tables, so i'm only 2 tabling today and enjoy what ever comes.

There you go, chilling, having fun, playing only 2 tables, mostly on NL100-200 and voila; new best day:

Hero (BB): $202 (101 bb)
SB: $214.56 (107.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A K
SB raises to $4, Hero raises to $14, SB calls $10

Flop: ($28) 8 K 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $22, SB calls $22

Turn: ($72) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $54, SB calls $54

River: ($180) 9 (2 players)
Hero ?

What to do? Why? What if we have KQ, KJ? What would you call with if you're villain and opp shoves?

I had a feeling that session isn't gonna start well, cos of my last "good" day (i didn't play yesterday) and there it was, like 3 coolers in a row first couple of hands, so i'm super happy that i hold my ground and finished close to BE.

It seems i've solved HM2 being slow issue. I tweaked my windows w this guide Windows 7 tweaks and played smth in postgre SQL via this HM2 speed & performance improvement guide.

And most importantly close your browser!

You'll have to work out your (and his) entire range in that situation to answer those.

Luckily for you, I did that recently. What you'll end up with, assuming typical ranges that fit your preflop sizing, is - you can shove any big K for value, he can bluffcatch you with any K he has, and some 9x (especially if he has a spade blocker in his hand).

I don't think you have that many marginal hands that would want to xC there.

Totally agree Eagle7!

Only one positive day in a week, so annoying... down, up, down in sessions every day. At least it was good day, so i end up in profit.

Another thing is that prefer to play NL100-200 over NL50 and i feel comfortable there. It looks like i can't beat NL100, but doing good on NL200

I'm almost done rewatching coaching videos, round 8h more to go. I'm gonna rewatch HU mastermind afterwards and I'm sure some stuff are gonna make even more sense than before.

Grind is going good, i mean no particular big winnings but i'm happy w my play, mostly 2 tabling and enjoying it.

I have pretty tight schedule this and next week with work and poker, plus Christmas in between... So when ever i have day off from work i play 10h, i guess i'm not used to it anymore, cos my head hurt like hell afterwards. Could be just one time deal, i'll see it on next bigger grinding day. Uff, gotta push it trough.

I played only small 2 sessions over last two days. To much stuff going on, so it's gonna be more on low volume side week. I wish you merry Christmas and see you all for a yearly report at the end of month!
