Hi, my name is Chris. I'm 32 years old. I like music, movies, reading, writing,
and I love playing poker. I am currently a dog walker but that's about to change.

I started playing poker around the time Chris Moneymaker won the WSOP Main Event. Poker is such a deep and fascinating game I was hooked right away. I started hosting home games, playing in the casino and online. I have played on and off for around 8 years. I took a break during college, then I quit for years because I had some long term health issues that needed to be resolved. I want to be more than just a recreational player and make more than just a little extra money. I have read books, watched training videos and I have had some coaching in the past. I believe with BPC, a lot of hard work and dedication will help me take my game to the next level.

I wanted to join BPC when I first saw an interview on HSDB with Gordon BPC. BPC looked like such an excellent program with high quality coaches that are directly invested in the students progress I couldn't wait to join, start improving my game, move up and become a strong poker player.

I haven't played much this week. I only played 394 Hands and basically broke even. I was real busy with work and studying new videos and articles. I am re-framing the way I think about and play poker. This week I will have a lot more time to grind.

Starting BR $400
Current BR $400.22
Hands this week: 397
Stakes 2NL - 5NL

Goal by July 1st:
$3k BR
100NL

I am looking forward to moving up soon, I have just been shaking off the rust from not playing for a long time. I really want to learn the game, move up and make some good money. I also want to work on my writing skills to make my blog more interesting

This week went was meh. I had a bummer 4 BI losing session but I know that if I stick to the fundamentals and don’t try to out play or get to fancy with the fish then I will be winning at the micros soon.

Stakes 2NL
Profit/loss -11.03
Hands Played: 2794

—Goals this week—
-Play 20hrs+
I know I’ve been slacking on the volume but I am making more time for poker and making it my priority.

-Profit
I’m off to a poor start but as I learn more and feel more confident I am sure the money will come. I just need to play and study more

-Study 6+ Hrs
I know that a lot of learning comes from playing but I still want to take the time to study the material and understand what to do in particular situations.

-Sleep Better
I’ve been sleeping poorly lately because of life stress and anxiety. So I started meditating or doing yoga before bed. Also, I am regulating my sleeping habits to be more optimal.

Although I started out down around 12 buyins at 2NL for my first 10k hands I am digging myself out of the rut. The more I study and play the better I am getting. I am only down 4 buy ins now and I am looking forward to being on the plus side of things very soon. I have been watching a strategy or mental game video before I start playing for the day and it is really getting my mind ready for poker.
Today went well. I had some ups and downs a felt tilt creeping in after losing two flips in a row but I didn't let it affect my game. I took a break and thought about what I learned about variance in the previous mindset video. It helped me to stay focus for the rest of the day.
As my journey continues out of poker hell there will be more frequent updates to come.

Since you aspire to be pro and have played since 2003 it's safe to assume you have the maths nailed down yes?

So you might want to look at volume and win rates required to achieve what you posted above.

Yah I have played since 2003 on and off but I have never put in the time, work and dedication like I am now. I know the basic math pretty good. I was looking more into volume and win rates and yah 100NL by July seems very ambitious and maybe even impossible but I am optimistic and am going to do my best to get there. If I don't make my goal, well then I'll just keep on grinding until I get there.
