Hi everybody!

I'll cut right to the chase:

The Dream:
- to play profesionally

The Plan:
- to save up £2k (because: London) and start grinding live (part time at first)
- currently playing micro stakes full ring NLHE 0.2/ 0.5 without a HUD (because there are no HUDs live)

Will (try to) update this weekly with my current bankroll situation as well as any thoughts/ impressions.

Current Situation:
- $125 bankroll, playing $5NL
- biggest leaks: playing too many hands, bluffing too much

Wish me luck! Dream Chasing

The Gods are cruel - shortly after I decided to fully pursue my dream of becoming a professional poker player I got fired from my day job. Truth be told I hated every second of it, it was a mind numbing, spirit crushing type of job.

But now instead of working on my game and putting "volume" in (not that much volume since I only really play a table at a time), I've to look for another job.

Current situation:
  • $145 bankroll, still at 5NL
  • biggest leaks: playing a bit too many hands, going after too many pots still (although slight improvement since my last post)
If you're reading this and want to help a brother out please light a candle so that I may hit NL10 before the year is out. I'm really curious if I can beat that limit with no HUD.

I've had to drop down to NL2. That's what a bit of negative variance + the wrong mindset will get you.

I was so focused on hitting that $200 mark so I can play NL10 that I took running a few buy-ins under EV way harder than I should have. After that it continue to spiral downward and I now find myself with a fraction of my roll.

Current situation:
  • bankroll & stakes: $57, NL2
  • biggest leaks: lack of discipline(not making disciplined folds in obvious spots, ego calls etc) and playing with the wrong mindset (i.e. focusing on the $$$ won/ lost rather than each individual decision)
  • fixes:
    1. use the "hide balance" function.
    2. focus on the correct mindset when playing (the only thing that matters is each individual decision - if the decision is correct the win/lose factor is irrelevant).
    3. practice daily meditation

Thanks for reading and good luck on the felt
