I am DLGMIS, in March of 2017, I decided to dedicate my life to poker.

I was introduced to poker at 11 years old by my Dad, I would watch all the old school televised events, I was a recreational player who would one table the micros. I had always dreamed that one day I could get to the top in poker but I could never find content to help me improve so these goals fell to the sideline.

At University, I met a friend who taught me poker strategy, things like jamming 15bb and other basics. During this time a couple things happened that ended up with me being fully depressed, my grades slipped and by December 2016, I was looking at a real low, unacceptable grade. I started thinking about my future a lot and knew that continuing my degree at this time wasn't for me. I had no intention of leaving university with a bad grade to start from the very bottom of a company in an office job working 7-5.

Early 2017, I had made the choice to use my student loan for my living costs and put every minute of my time into poker, I took an all or nothing risk and I knew the consequences, I really started from the bottom when I went full time. Anyone can be a top poker player, it isn't like football where you need to start from a young age, be in peak physical condition and have incredible natural talent to get to the top. Poker is a game where it takes hard work, great mindset and an immense hunger to get to the top. I believe that if I dedicate all of my time to the game, I will reach the top.

March 24th 2017, I applied to be staked. I started at $2.50 180 mans, within a few months I was playing MTT up to $33. I spent my first year studying and playing 15+ hours a day, each and everyday, I only had a handful of days off. A few months ago, I made the switch to a cash game stable, I had no idea on cash game strategy, I had only played live cash games twice and had never played online cash games so it took some time to get used to but within 4 months I was shot taking 200ff. Yesterday I made the move back to MTTs.

My goals are to reach the very top, I took an all or nothing risk and I intend to get it all, in the next 3 years I want to be in the debate of being one of the best MTT players in the world.

I am starting off with low/mid stakes MTT, I expect to move up in the stakes at a rapid rate taking everything I've learnt from cash games and my studies and implementing them into my MTT game.

Feel free to ask me questions, I'll do my best to answer them. I'm very happy to meet you all and share my journey with the 2+2 community. I hope you enjoy seeing me progress.

Thank you! It's been a main goal of mine for a long time now to become a part of bitB, I want to take everything I've learnt, get results and some more MTT experience down and then hopefully join their team in the future.

We decided to go short stacked booty hunting and called for the runner runner on the flop, this runout is truly what dreams are made of!

These two big blinds turned into a deep run for us but unfortunately we couldn't bring it home today

Hand of the day today isn't a good one, I like the line but once we block bet here we need to be bet/folding for sure - we're up against an unknown player and we really need to be seeing some creative bluffs here to be calling off. We went into the deep tank and talked ourselves into a generous donation, it's definitely a main highlight of today for me. We learn and tomorrow we come back stronger!

Weekly Update

I've been busy after my sessions the last couple days, so I haven't been able to post my hand of the day but we'll get it going again when I'm in my new house.

Time for my weekly update, I'm pretty happy how it's going, seem to be really crushing the field.

We've had a ton of deep runs but unfortunately haven't converted any. Still my sample is small and I really can't complain, I'm very happy with my chip graph and statistics, I Hope we can keep this up as the volume increases. I will post my results graphs monthly, so stay tuned!

Good luck this week!

Hello again, happy new year to you all. I had a break from blogging over Christmas, I was gonna keep this up to date over that time but I figured that it might be a bit too early for the boozed up DLGMIS blog and it was just better for me to enjoy myself as I haven't had a proper break in a long time.

Anyway, we back in the mix, had a nice couple weeks and ready to get back to action. I played a few games over Christmas but definitely not at my A game, also got in the Christmas spirit and fired a ton of satties to the winter series - a format that I have no idea about.

I finished december in the red, down around 300, it's definitely not what I wanted but I'm not concerned about it, it ended up being pretty productive, as I really figured out what I want and how I'm gonna get it, I think I made some connections over that time that will really be a big blessing to me too, and yeah, all in all it wasn't exactly a sober Christmas but I still couldn't resist getting in the mix you know.

My plan with the blog now, is to get back in here and get some damn goals down. I'll carry on with the hand of the day and now that Christmas is out of the way, I have no breaks in mind so I'll be back to it keeping this fully updated while thinking of what else I can add to it so that I can really show you my journey.

New year and we're back at it, there's a lot of motivation around right now, let's keep that going throughout the whole year and let's ****ing get it! Good luck people, vamos!

A pretty uneventful day today, so this hand gets it. I'm not sure on my line but it's certainly an interesting spot. Tomorrow we come back stronger!

Weekly Update

Since my last update, I've been pretty down about my poker game, I had a stretch over Christmas and early January where I haven't been happy with my performance in game, I've made a ton of moves where if I look over my hand history, I'm like "damn what are you doing here bro", anyway here is what my chip graph is looking like now, it's clear to see it's gone downhill recently:

My results have been pretty bad too, here's my results since I came back to MTT

I really ruined myself over christmas, drinking and having too much fun haha, shot taking satties to high stakes winter series while I was just pretty mashed up, I really wish I just got my head down and went hard over Christmas...One thing for sure though, I've really been studying hard and I've learnt a lot, I'm improving a lot and improving everyday, I'm just not showing it at the damn tables and it's really been adding a lot of stress and dropping my confidence at the same time.

So you know, I always got that backup plan and my new plan is to get back to cash games, grind myself back into the green at 25z, if I can show some good results then I'll be pretty damn aggro with moving up, I'll take some 5 buy in shots at 50z and stay there until I've built up a nice little bankroll. When I'm back in the green, I'll be a lot happier to shot take some Sunday MTT or whatever.

I'm gonna get in the lab over the next few days, I'm gonna go pretty damn hard and then when I've got my confidence back, we're gonna go for this cash grind, it's gonna be a long one for sure, grinding it up from 25z aint easy but it's gonna add a lot of consistency that I'm not finding with MTT. I think this will also improve the blog, it's a lot tougher than I thought to update this regularly when you're going through the bad times haha but yeah I'm gonna get it done, I think you'll enjoy my fully aggro cash game hands, it'll be easier to find hands and I can start updating this blog in a better way

My goals for 2019:

My main goal is to build up a bankroll and a liferoll, I had big hopes for this MTT grind and it's been a slow one so far, that's cool though, we're still here, still in the game and we'll grind it up.

My second goal is to get a bitb contract, I'm not sure how easy this will be to get an MTT contract while mainly playing cash games but we'll see how it goes, this was originally my primary goal but you know, when your main path is blocked off, you gotta take a new path to achieve your goals, my main goal in poker has always been to move up in stakes and get to the top so I gotta go about that the best way I can and for me right now, that's grinding my liferoll back up.

My third goal is to get a grindhouse with another poker player and just go hard with the studying, improve everyday at a sick rate.

My fourth goal is to keep this damn blog updated and stop being lazy, stop being a ***** and have the confidence to keep this thing moving, update this thing you know, let's keep it moving!

Thanks for reading, I'm not sure when I'll be in the cash game streets but, I'll post in here after my first session.

Century Update

I had to post this one:

To update you guys, I've been at it with the MTT grind, had a few binks recently, $11 freezeout, $11 PKO and then yeah mini super tuesday...I decided to accept a staking deal, I've had an offer that I think is really solid, so I'll hopefully be starting with that tomorrow and then over that time I hope to get a graph that's ready to achieve my goals of joining bitB... With this new deal I'll be grinding harder and getting some updates coming (they're coming for sure), so yeah time to keep working hard and keep the results flowing!

I hope you'll hear more from me soon, good luck at the tables!

What's up twoplustwo, I just got back from a 2 week holiday to a cottage in the middle of nowhere, was a nice relax and we're back on the grind..So to update you, we've started the year pretty nice, nice bit of profit and a lot of studying going down, really happy with the improvements, had some off days where I'm not on my A* game but overall I'm pretty excited about the direction we're going in.

here's my graph for party and stars so far, we got that 3k bink in the sunday grind on party.

EV line and whatnot for party, we getting pretty aggro with it, deepstack play is fun.

and here's pokerstars, opposite for some reason but we're still doing okay, think we could be doing a lot better.

Just wanted to update and get back into the swing of things, time for the hard grind, let's improve and make this paper.

Time to get a real nice month in! Put that stamp on it, vamos!

What's up people,

Lately I've hit my first reasonable downswing, dropped a ton of buy ins over the last month, probably getting close to that magic 200 number, decided to focus on game selection more and also smash that shortstack study, hopefully it helps a lot and we grind out of it pretty soon. things aren't going my way at the tables so we gotta find that solution.

Here's the latest graph for this year, not looking as great as it once did but motivation is sky high, looking to crush the volume harder, fix leaks and turn this right around. I think these swings are gonna happen more for someone who is aggro af like I am, I think I'm playing well so yeah definitely not the time to lose any motivation, time to get motivated harder than ever!

Hoping I can update this with some more solid results in the near future! Good luck 2+2, let's crush this!
