Im having some troubles how wide I should be defending vs 3bets.

I've heard that you should defend about 33% of you opening range.

Lets say villain is 3betting someting 5-7%,
If I defend with 33% of my OR it will be a very weak range vs a 5-7% range.

At the same time, if villain has a low 3bet, shouldnt we play tight as well?
Overfolding is not a problem, villain isnt exploiting me anyway.

Now if villain 3bet 18%, now its time to not overfold and defend ATLEAST 33% of my OR.

Is this right?

I know it will be other factors to consider, but just a rough overview on defending vs 3bets.

My fold vs 3bet is very low its 43%, so I can definetely fold more.
My avg reg is 3betting around 7-9.
My Vpip/pfr is a bit higher than avg too.
