You can call me superuser. , I'm living on a beautiful island in Thailand , Koh Samui.
I dont consider myself a professional poker player, I wish to be one but until then I'm starting this blog to inspire people, write my story and see where this poker journey will bring me.

My story is one of getting lost, I had no idea where this journey will take me.
On December 2018 I took few thousand dollars and bought a one way ticket to BANGKOK , THAILAND.
I begin my trip with a one way ticket and a BIG DREAM.
I had no idea what I was doing , but I was confident that I could make it work.

I ventured off into the UNKNOWN and it was the BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE.

To achieve my goal of play 100s SNG , is a long road and of course pretty hard because of the cartels or " mafia " how my girfriend is saying

Since I don't plan yet to be staked or join a cartel , I will creat a list with short term goals and long term goals that will help me to go there , but before that I will talk about my sheet that I used for 2 weeks to track my life and create my own routine, because every person is different and you need to find your own routine that is fitting you.

I will post also as exemple my sheet , that I used to complet until I found my own routine.
The sheets contain date , wake up time , task , starting time , energy level , mood , emotions/observations , end time. I recommend you to track all this for 2 weeks , but be real, don't force it to have a prefect sheet, a perfect schedule , just let it be and write down , after 2 weeks you can compare all sheets and see which hours are you productive , why and when your mood goes bad, when your energy level is up , what trigger your angry , tilt emotions, how can you manage your time better etc.

This is one of my old sheets ,I have 14 of this and I think after 2 weeks of writing down and compare all the data I find what I'm thinking my perfect schedule and routine that I can have and is fitting with my lifestyle.

I'm not an expert in this kind of things , if you have any ideas or suggestions please free to write. Next post I will put my Daily Routine that I think is fitting for me after I compare all data from 14 sheets.

Last session I exaggerated a bit with grinding , normaly I don't play more than 6-8 hrs a day , but today I played 14 hrs. I realised that I started playing on auto-pilot after few hours , so pretty much is not worth it long sessions, because I finish almost break-even, tired , I lost the night sleep, pretty much the next day since I will go to sleep now, but at least I won 2nd place in leaderboard.
I will go back to my schedule of grinding day time and also I realised is not worth it to chase the leaderboard , I need quality not quantity in my game now.

Short term goals that I need to achieve the long term goals :

1. Have a routine , I'm still working on this by creating a sheet 2 weeks ago : woke up time , daily activities and how much time is taking , energy
level on different periods of the day , mood , emotions / observations after playing a certain amount of time etc.
Since I start this sheet after 2 weeks I realize few things:
a) My energy level for playing and mood is after 4pm.
b) Trying to wake up early before 9 is not working for me , because around 12pm I'm tired again.
c) About playing time , I realize between 1.30 and 2 hrs is optimal time for me. I'm sharp , I don't play on "Auto - pilot" , I'm not bored or start
tilting even I'm losing few games in a row . So pretty much I need to stick with this time and having a break after.
d) Even if SNG is about volume and number of games playing , I will never set a number of games that I need to play per day , I will set an
amount of hrs to play per day , because if I don't achieve that number of games per day , I feel dissapointed or even worst I'm play bored, auto-
pilot or on tilt just to achieve that number. I will focus for now on quality than quantity , since is a new format for me and I have a lot to learn.
2. Set a number of hours that I want to play per day , not to many but not to low so it can be achievable.
3. Before jumping in the 10s , warm up few games at 5s.
4. Have 1 day off per week from poker.
5. To implement a routine in my life , I will set my wake up schedule at 9 every day , I will schedule my gym hour for every day to be the same ,
also I need to schedule my playing time for each day to have action , since I'm playing from Thailand.
6. Implement daily meditation in my life. Start meditate 5-10 min daily.
7. Try to have 3 regulars meals per day and eat healthy , since I'm leaving in Thailand shouldn't be that hard.

Next post I will come with the long term goals.

Pardon for what? From what I see your nickname on forum is Super User, not superuser. which is also my poker nickname on Winamax.Maybe I dont want to give my real name, so I don't see what is the problem or your problem.
Should I ask you for permission to have this nickname?

Hello @beardown , thank you for following. I will post about the poker journey in Heads Up Hyper Turbos, my 8 years living in US , UK , experience from JAMAICA and THAILAND. Also I think my story about how I got here, how my life was so far here and what I experience in the last 2.7 years living here is very interesting.
I will post chapters from my life, psychedelics experience , adventures in Thai Jungles , places to visit , cost of living and live in different cities where I used to live in Thailand, poker graphs and questions about Heads Up Hyper, hand of the day etc.
If anyone have any questions about Visa , Driving License , open a Bank Account in Thailand, how to live long term here , feel free to ask.
PS: English is not my native language , but I will try my best to explain everything in details.

I want to talk a bit about my long term goals in poker.
First of all my main goal in poker is to play 100€ HU Hyper Turbo and try to break through the cartel by myself at 20€ , 30€ , 50€.
To achieve my goal of play 100s SNG , is a long road and of course pretty hard because of the cartels or " mafia " how my girlfriend is saying.
Since I don't plan yet to be staked or join a cartel , I already created a list with short term goals ( see the post above ), but lets talk now about long term goals that will help me to go there.

1. Study 1hr or review few of my games daily .This is a big problem for me, it's not that I don't want to study or I don't enjoy, I really enjoy to learn new things but after 15 min of study or watch a video , I can't focus anymore and I want to open tables to implement what I saw in the videos.
2. Build a 2k roll and and fight for a spot at 20€.
3. Be a regular 20€ , 30€ , 50€ , I will not set a time limit because I don't want to be dissapointed that I didn't reach the goal in time. Poker is a marathon not a sprint someone said.
4. Find a group of better players than me , with who I can discuss strategy and help me achieve my goal.
5. Talk more with my parents or friends abroad. ( it's not related about poker , but I was a pretty lonely wolf in my last 11 years )

If you have any ideas or suggestions about reaching our goals , or new things to improve us as a person , a poker player, feel free to write.

Review 40 hands from yestarday and took some notes with who I'm playing a lot.
Exemple of my notes :

I'm still working to a system to make shorter notes.

Also I'm using a Heads UP HUD PT4 but I modify the colors of all stats , so I can watch faster for what I need.

I trying to meditate to implement this in my routine.
Meditation is very hard, toughts coming, cards, spots in poker, when Im gona play next session, life shits etc.
Hard to stay in that state of "let it go", I manage to stay around 5 min, also I tried to float and medidate in my pool I think same time.
I would try soon Sensory Deprivation Tank. I heard is great experience.
Follow up I will post that experience.

gl. I'm living and married with kids in Chiang Mai now. I've been here for 10+ years and only ever had one visit to Koh Samui but really enjoyed it. I was much younger and single at the time but I stayed at the Ark Bar. At the time I wanted to get the best lobster on the island but the beach vendors near the Ark Bar were selling Red Snapper fish and I tried it the first day and it was the best fish I had ever had in my life. Proceeded to get it everyday that rest of the way. It was so good that I still look for it on menus across Thailand and often order it rather than some of the more expensive seafood around Thailand. Nothing has ever been as good as that fish that I had on that island though.

Hello @cneuy3 , thanks for writing. Thank you for recommending this place, I really love fish , I'm planning to eat a barracuda at Sirtaki Taverna.
I just moved in Koh Samui 4 months ago from Chiang Mai where we spend the last 8 months. Nice city , actually my story in Thailand starts in that city, 2018 on the New Year's Eve. But I will make a new post about this.
Photo from CM

Anyway If you wanna come in Koh Samui , let me know.
