Been putting in mad volume the last couple days to try and get my volume goal for the month. I have 5k more hands to go and the rest of tonight +2 days.

Played B- yesterday. Started off the day with a couple coolers which resulted in me getting a bit tilted and playing 2 hands atrociously. Paid off a bad reg's boat with an overpair on a dry run-out. He bet huge on all streets, flop was a marginal fold, turn clear fold, river super obv-fold.

Yesterday I remember that the big mistakes I made were made with a wrenching feeling in my stomach. I knew I was making a big mistake, but I did it anyways. Not sure why, but it happened. Need to be more cognizant off my gut.

Since last update:

Another crushing session last night. I've won $4000 on this PLO100 shot which means its PLO200 time!

I'm going to grind PLO100 for the rest of the month and if I end up +$3500 total I'll take a 10 BI PLO200 shot next month.

PLO200 shot is going terrrrrible thus far..

Playing pretty well. 1-2 spots where I made a clear mistake, some marginal mistakes I'm aware of, a bunch of mistakes I'm unaware of.. I posted a couple hands in SSPLO that were close, and here is da graph;

hehe yeah..

Played a couple session today.. played well for the first 1.5k hands, then ran into a couple coolers, tilted and played my C-game. This is quite evident by looking at my graph;

Played 2 hands absolutely atrociously. Mentally marked a reg that 100% thinks I'm an aggro whale.

I just wrote an entire post with hand analysis and then accidentally closed the page. Tilt.

Anyways, not going to re-write so I'll just say that in regards to the above post, the first 7 words are true.

Played B+ game today, 1 atrocious mistake, a few missed value spots, marginal river calls, and a couple turn bet sizing mistakes. Overall, pretty good day. Got owned by variance.

Had a good chat with a friend today about poker. Made a realization that not making huge mistakes is a big part of being an excellent player. 1 super spew-tard play per 5k hands lowers your bb/100 by 1-2bb/100... I really have to stop occasionally making huge mistakes. I made 2 yesterday, 1 today. 3 in 4k hands is unacceptable..

This for real. I have often thought about it myself and despite having a winning session I'll still feel pretty **** if I get it in and win despite having good equity at the time because in reality it was definitely a fold vs V whole range.

It's just not good enough to know your stuff. Applying it correctly is key. I'm pretty sure the best winning regs make very few big mistakes.

Anyway...

Hand 2 is awesome

Why the re-pop in Hand 1? You have history with villain?

When you taking shots at 200 again?

Hand 1 is vs a reg that I have no history with.. but, I find a reg with no history would always pot raise all his value here, so I figured he has lots of air in his range.. Was going to give up if called.

200 shots may not happen for awhile... I'm down $3,000 on the month (yes, 5 days in). I need to win all that back before I can take another shot at PLO200.

I just played a short session and lost $500 in 40minutes. Tons of coolers. I am proud of myself for playing well and avoiding making a spewy play due to running like ****. I did have to stop myself from playing, though.. Felt the tilt coming on . Gonna go walk to the village and get some coffee, re-start grind..

Maybe see you at PLO600 in a few months ! Glad your enjoying the thread. I'm hoping to improve my writing skills in the near future. I feel like I have lots of good ideas/stories but have trouble with articulation. Although, that will have to hold on until I learn some spanish..

Played my B game today.. Felt pretty discouraged the entire day... It felt like cooler after cooler, suck out after suck out.. My fold to river bet was 82% today--Every single river seemed like a set up. Pretty happy I didn't tilt or make too many tilt-induced decisions..

Anyways, trying to keep head high and battle this variance. How I deal with variance is going to be critical to success in PLO, so I need to start getting better at dealing with it now

1 horrible mistake today, and a couple marginal spots.

Graph looks so ugly;

Didn't get the volume I wanted today due to stopping my first session after 300 hands.. Meh, 2.3k is alright.

Gonna go smoke a bowl/watch death proof. Going to Banff tomorrow, pretty excited.

#1 i think it's fine. on occasion i'd bet turn and shove river though. gotta balance them ranges
#2 i'd rather bet less than half the pot and fold to the action behind.
#3 take a note and don't bluff him anymore i see that even at 100 people don't like to fold
any stats for #4 ? don't think i'd fold river, though we might run into the nuts more often than anything else.

I'm just a PLO noob but I don't quite understand hand #2.

Once there is a check jam and a call I would be turbo mucking here?
I don't think an overpair with no real backdoors is going to be in good shape vs their ranges given the action. It looks like atleast 1 of them has smashed that flop equity wise.
