Update

I'm a little bit disappointed because one of the reasons I'm still break even is because I make silly calls which happen regarding my thinking that everyone is very solid and they are bluffing a lot when they notice I'm weak, but that's not true. I didn't have this mental leak, when playing NL25, this has has very big impact on my results. So most important goal for this week is to not make this mistake. Believe them more.

I notice that a couple of weeks in a row my other goals are left behind poker and it shouldn't be that way. So this week I will try to complete other goals more and not put additional time on poker. If put so much time in poker it will not +EV in long run, I will overheat and I will not feel satisfied with myself.

So this week goals:

Poker:
Play 10k hands
Work on my game 8h-10h
Analyze two regs
Start beating NL50
Not make loose call downs
Review every session
Write mental game journal
Play 2 tables mostly, if I feel very good, then 3 tables.

Other:
Go to gym 3x
Eat healthy most of the time
Finish reading a book
Read 3/4 of Bryan's Tracy book "Eat that Frog"
Attend my university seminars

Have a nice week!

Some hands, I will be numbering all my hands.

10) vs two reg. SB is 3b:12 and sqz so far 3/16 times. So aggro pre and he is cbetting a lot otf. BU folds only 14% to flop cbets so far ( SR pots).

Turn play? Should I bet small like 30%? BU has almost all sets in his range, but he has 99/98s/87s/T9s as well and he could have some A high w BDFD floats. Of course SB has a lot of combos of overpairs. I'm leaning for a check more.

BTN: $114.95
SB: $50.25

1 fold, Hero raises to $1.50, 1 fold, BTN calls $1.50, SB raises to $6.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $5, BTN calls $5

SB bets $6.25, Hero calls $6.25, BTN calls $6.25

Turn: ($38.75) T (3 players)
SB checks

11) SB was opening 55% and folding to 3b 71% overall. That's why I made a 3b. River is clear bet/f? Sizing?

Interesting hands.

B-E @ 10K hands is not bad when you have just moved up. Could be running bad, can be a little unsure about some spots as you refer to ++++. I'm sure you will crush 50z if you keep up your good work. GLGL.

Thank you!

Week 3 update

This week was really bad. I had to move down to NL25, shot failed. Lost 4,5 BI over 20k hands. And when I moved down to 25NL downswing attacked, started doubting in my game, but after reviewing it some big and small pots, I could say that I made just a few major mistakes. Running pretty bad, I hope to turn it all around this week and start crushing again. Today I've made a few changes in my game, which I think will be giving me extra 1 or 2 bb to my win rate.

I've decided to make a challenge. After 74.6k hands, I have 6,11evbb/100 at NL25. My goal is to have at least 7evbb/100 after 100k hands. Will see how it goes. After that, I will be shooting NL50 again.

I have a question. Do you change table at some point when you have over 100bb in your stack?

Review of past week goals

Poker:
Play 10k hands (6.3k/10k, did a lot of table work, had one day off poker)
Work on my game 8h-10h (around 12-14h)
Analyze two regs (2/2)
Start beating NL50 ( failed)
Not make loose call downs (made one mistake regard to this)
Review every session ( reviewed)
Write mental game journal ( 6/7 days)
Play 2 tables mostly, if I feel very good, then 3 tables ( 95% of time played 2 tables)

Other:
Go to gym 3x (2/3)
Eat healthy most of the time (big improvement compared to week 2, but still should get read of some bad habits)
Finish reading a book ( still reading)
Read 3/4 of Bryan's Tracy book "Eat that Frog" ( read around 40% of the book)
Attend my university seminars (completed)

Would rate this week 6/10.

I'm failing with time management for past weeks, know where my mistakes are, just have to fix them.

Goals for week 4

Poker:
Play 12k hands
Work on my game 6h
Implement new aspects in my game
Not make loose call downs
Review every session
Write mental game journal
Play 2 tables mostly, if I feel very good, then 3 tables.

Other:
Go to gym 4-5x
Eat healthy most of the time
Finish reading a book
Read 3/4 of Bryan's Tracy book "Eat that Frog"
Attend my university seminars

Later I will post some hands from last week.

It's hard for me to play 3 tables and think deeply about the spots, how are you improving your multi-tabling ability?

Have a great day!

12) UTG is reg, MP is unknown I assume reg. This is probably overplayed, people are not folding enough, I would jam AA/KK without blocking heart in this spot.

      14) vs weak player. I think overb shoving or betting 1/2 are both good options ott. His min r is probably nuts most of the time, he leaves himself 3$ behind but can we really find a fold given the odds, I couldn't. Baluga theorem of course.

flop bet is losing a lot of $. Pretty sure you should be checking basically everything otf.
Thank you, yeah basically mw MP can have 77/99 and UTG 99 in his range, so my equity vs both their continue ranges are very poor. Sqz to 7$ or even bigger?

seems ok. What's his statistics for turn bet vs missed cbet in 3bp and srp? His sizings are funky and can consider calling with hands that don't block his bluffs here (diamonds/back door hearts). Due to the lack of setting up river shove I'm not sure what to make out of it, but might call here to find out. Shouldn't be a terrible bluff catch to begin with. Maybe you can elaborate on villain here?

                      20)

I'd just call flop with this combo. Rest is fine I suppose. You need to be careful with raising/bluffing frequencies only holding the nut blocker. Mark villain as fish and move on. Probably not a hand really worth evaluating in depth.

for the TT hand I ran a PIO sim. I constructed the ranges for the IP/OOP players, so could be off, but we can definitely c-bet 100% here. On the 9c we do check our TT majority of the time and I was surprised to see us folding TT here about half the time to a bet from the IP player. On the K river we do have a very marginally +EV call with TT no diamond assuming both players have played GTO to that point.

Regarding the IP players betting range OTT, the PIO player obviously checks some Kx (KQ, KJ, KT) and I think people could do this at some freq and also checks some draws, QJ, QT, JT at a higher frequency than what I'd imagine most people get to turn with, so I'd say its relatively close-ish and on the river you likely had a ~0 ev call. That being said, I think there's information in the fact the IP player did not set up for a shove and I'd therefore lean slightly more towards a call.

In srp his turn b vs miss is 50% (4 cases), in 3b pots 50% (2 cases including this). His sizing is not very good, but he might use it with weaker Kx, maybe he is afraid somehow to jam or sees me capped to TT-QQ and thinks I'm folding to a jam.

The villain is looking more on aggro side overall.

I don't have one, I have 70k on NL16 and win rate is around 5bb. But that was previous year. I have improved from that point.

I like that PIO thinks that we need to fold half combos of TT vs turn b. To be honest I would fold TT ott vs most regs in these positions, except TcTs, but this villain was more aggro than average reg. Otr I still think that folding is more +EV than calling, people are under buffing paired river, but I might be wrong. TsTh is blocking QT/JT heart combos. 2 combos is quite a lot in this spot.

                      21) Sb reg, very small sample on him, 3b:25 (12).

Do you think it's okay to x FD sometimes ott? First of all given positions imo he will be folding at very low frequency, especially then there are 2 FD's on the board. I will be x AA which blocks FD's at some frequency. Otr don't see a reason to bluff.

                          Week 4 update

Continue to work on my game and grind. I think that downswing has stopped and I just have to keep playing my game and everything should be fine. I feel now stronger regarding my mental game, because it was really sick downswing, not in lost BI amount, but just how it was going. So many tough laydowns made, but not enough of course. Of course made a lot mistakes, especially at first days of the downswing. I'm confident that everything will be going towards direction I want if I keep doing what I'm doing.

I don't know what helps you to take out all bad thinking from the head, but I realized that for me besides all of the table work on mental game, switching to reg tables does the job. My mind becomes fresh and I can think about all the spots clearly. So I will stay a little bit more on reg tables, plus such fastly evolving dynamics with regs are kinda fun. I can only play my best game playing 2 tables of zoom, it's the same as 5-6 reg tables, so volume will not suffer. After a while I will continue to play zoom.

                          Poker:
                          Play 12k hands (11k)
Work on my game 6h (done)
Implement new aspects in my game (done)
Not make loose call downs ( Made one really ambitious call down)
                          Review every session ( done)
Write mental game journal ( done)
Play 2 tables mostly, if I feel very good, then 3 tables. (Made one mistake, added third zoom table, when I was tired)

                          Other:
Go to gym 4-5x (3 times)
Eat healthy most of the time (Just had few cheat meals on Sunday)
                          Finish reading a book (done)
Read 3/4 of Bryan's Tracy book "Eat that Frog" ( done, really valuable book, we all know these things about goals and etc., but is very useful to get more deeply into them)
                          Attend my university seminars (done)

Overall this week was good, completed most of my goals. Would rate it 8.5/10.

Will post some hands and goals for the next week tomorrow, because I’m very tired and sleepy, had really good workout at the gym.

                          Good night.
