Alright guys time for an update on the month. Still have a pretty pathetic sample to show for the month but meh, I've been pretty busy with stuff. I also mainly felt like playing heads up and the 2/4 tables were quite dead a lot of the month. And a lot of times I'd get action for 10-15 hands from fish and they'd leave after getting up 50 bucks or doubling up or whatever. That's pretty standard for heads up these days though so nothing new there. I ended up opening 1/2 hu tables just to help get some extra action and that helped a lot. Don't feel I ran very good this month but my volume sucked so I don't deserve to win tons of money anyways. Will be back to getting in normal volume during september (I'm taking a 9-10 day trip to AC for their WPT series but still plan to play a decent amount online).

So as you can see in the screenshot I only got in like 10k hands and I'm up a few thousand. Nothing special, but looking forward to putting in more hands at 6m this month. Between the moving back into my place in CT and hanging with friends I hadn't seen much because of my long vegas trip the month just flew by.

As I mentioned a bit ago I'll be going to Atlantic City and staying at the Borgata for 9-10 days for the wpt. I'm gonna play 1-2 events, play a bunch of 5/10 live, and hopefully get in some decent online volume while I'm there. Tmckendry of 2p2 and vegas house fame will be joining me along with a couple of my friends that live in ct/jersey. Should be a lot of fun and hopefully will be a nicely profitable trip. Only time will tell. If anyone is there for the WPT feel free to say hi.

In terms of normal life stuff, I've had a fun last couple days. A friend of mine from college and her friend ended up being in CT for the night so went out to the bars and had some drinks. Also played some golf this week and been going to the gym most days. Hopefully will continue to be this productive on the life front next month when I ramp up the poker volume again. Bed time, gl at the tables all!

Nice month esp with the low volume. Borgata sounds like it will be a fun time, wish I had everything set up in Vegas so I could make it out.

Pro tip: use photobucket for image hosting. Having trouble resizing your pictures, and on the tinypic webpage there is a dick pic under "Images You'll also enjoy" **** you, tinypic.

Favorite learning resources for 6max and HU at your stakes?

Yeah man, hope you make a trip back to the east asap. Plenty of tourney series to base a trip around!

Yeah I seem to suck at this image hosting crap. I'll repost the pic in a sec. LOL at the dick pic they think you'll enjoy.

Ummm personally I enjoy watching videos on runitonce (cardrunners also good) although the bovada games play a lot differently than a lot of other sites. So I definitely wouldn't try to just copy how someone is playing on stars and thinking it will translate well to bovada. My favorite hu videos back in the day were made by MasterLJ on cardrunners. They are pretty old now but for someone starting in hu they'd probably still be a beneficial watch. On runitonce there are some hu nl videos by sauce (who is obv really good) and another guy whose name escapes me atm (he had one video series playing 10/20 hu vs another reg) but his videos have been pretty good as well.

Just because a fish has certain stats pf doesn't mean that they all play the same way postflop, and that of course will have an effect on how you should deal with them going forward. Pay attention to when the fish is playing hands even if you aren't in the hand and make a note to yourself how loosely they are continuing after the flop. In general though this type of opponent should be very easy for you to beat. They are going to be calling with a lot of hands that you are going to dominate no matter what position you are opening from. Just make sure you are taking advantage and getting full value.
Because for example, I have something like AJo OTB and the flop comes 8 5 2 dd and I have no diamond. Should I be cbetting this board? I wish I had a HH as I'm at work. I'll post a HH soon so we can discuss.

Sick win rate on 2/4 bro. Sustainable?

Really? When I click it now it actually auto gives the option to zoom. And when you click in to zoom it's the perfect size. Anyone else still having trouble zooming?

If anyone has any tips for how to get better at this stuff lemme know
Here are some helpful websites with cooking tips:

http://theguycancook.com/blog/

http://www.nerdfitness.com/

The latter focuses on other things as well, but has some good recipes. I particularly like the kale/bacon/tomatoes dish. As someone else pointed out, you can just bake some chicken breast (I prefer thighs as they're tastier IMO and you can eat two of them in a meal) and use that as a side, and there you go. Healthy meal and delicious. Takes maybe 20-30 minutes (depending on how long the chicken will need to cook).

I'd be interested in coaching. I'm a rec player who is just looking to get better.

Anyways, good luck at Borgata for the next week or so!

Alright so quick update on how things are going at borgata. Been playing a decent amount of 5/10 since I got here. It's gone okay so far. I'm up somewhere around 3-4k despite losing some rough pots as a favorite. Leaving here sometime on wednesday so plenty of time to crush for a bit more. The games have been really really good which is nice. There are definitely some solid players around during the series but there have been plenty of fish. I've even had people limp calling raises utg with K4s type hands with their 50bb stack. Unfortunately barely been able to get any volume online while here. Internet is expensive and/or ****ty here. Gonna have to work my butt off after I get home. Also haven't worked out since I've gotten here due to them charging an arm and a leg for the gym. Just isn't worth it. I've been eating decent though considering I'm living in a casino. Will update again after I get back to CT.

You don't even need a gym. In the future, I would invest in some resistance bands you can travel with. Attach them to the underside or top of doors with the attachment and you now have any cable exercise you want. Combine with pushups, dips on the bathtub and squats/curls with gallon water jugs, and you got yourself a free gym.

Definitely tape this workout and put it online, just imagining those water jug squats and curls is ridiculous

Luckily I'll be back to my gym in a couple days so I don't think I'll be doing water jug curls anytime soon. If I do I promise a vid though.

It's funny because your big blind is the cost of some gyms monthly membership and I suggested you curl 1 gallons in your hotel room.

Haha wasn't a bad tip imo. Gotta get resourceful sometimes. I probly should just pay $15/day for the gym but I hate being ripped off for $150 by the borgata.

Been back from borgata for a few days. Had a fun weekend going to alumni/homecoming weekend at my alma mater. Unfortunately didn't end up getting to see any of the football game due to having so much fun hanging in the tailgating area drinking. Was really great to hang out with some college friends I don't get to see often and it was the first time I've been back to the campus since I graduated 3 years ago. I miss that place.

Anyways, time to get a bunch of online volume in over the last half of the month. Off to a great start today. Watched the pats game with a buddy and then have been playing ever since the start of the 4pm games. Have been running pretty good the entire session which is always nice. Gonna watch the night game (and sweat frank gore who i need to just not have an amazing game so i win in fantasy this week) and continue to get in more volume. I'll try to remember to throw out a results update at the end of the night.

Also probably going to do a couple small freerolls soon so stay tuned if you want a shot at a little potential free moniez!
