Some of you might know me, I am a student in london playing poker on the side. I used to have a thread which basically died when I stopped playing at the begining of the year. Here is the thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...000-a-1407837/ . In that thread I basically go from trying out 50nl zoom to being sticking there and being confident at that level.

The reason why I am starting this thread is to get some motivation back again. I stopped playing poker in september since I couldnt find the time to play anymore. Now, I changed a few things and I will do everything I can to get back in the rythm of playing. I won't lie, I don't have huge expectations, I don't see myself playing high stakes one day with the best or anything. TBH I don't see online poker being hot for a long time, but I hope to be wrong. Maybe in a few years I'll look back at this thread and laugh at that statement when online poker is booming . What I am trying to say is that for now I have rather simplistic goals. I want to keep playing and squeeze at least 60hours of poker every month until summer. I love this game a lot and these 4 months without playing remembered this to me once again.

Enough rambling, I will keep this thread to help me motivate me to balance 50nl zoom and uni, I will post graphs and hands when I can.

Last years graph (I played about 4 months and a few hands are missing)

Graph since coming back

I don't want to set any long term goals for now since a lot can change in a year, instead I will give myself monthly goals. In 1 week I will set my february goals.

I used to 6 table 4x50 and 2x25 nl, but at the moment I didn't start so well. I am going to need a bit more time till I start 6 tabling zoom again. This brings me to my first short term goal.

[ ] $800 playing only 50 nl

Once I succeed Ill add in 25 nl too.

Not much has happened since last update, I didn't play too much as I had a lot of uni work. I am still 4 tabling since I don't feel 100% confidnt again 6 tabling but it should be a matter of time. I plan on playing much more this month and put update after every day I play, here is my graph for january.

Too much sexiness in one graph. Anyways, hoping for a better february where I get back on track.

February Goal

[ ] Play 80 hours

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Not much has happened since last update, yesterday was the first day when I could put in some volume. However I will be playing alot this week and will try to update daily with some graphs.

Yesterday

So yeah I played about 7 hours and it felt very very good to FINALLY have a winning day . Hopefully more to come, I will try to play a minimum of 6 hours every day for the 9 days.

Fun hands

vs agro maniac, there could be an argument to c/r river instead of calling, but vs this guy I think we are miles ahead of his range so w/e

Today started out really bad, saw myself down $300 in less then 2k hands. But fortunatly things turned around and booked a nice win. Felt really zoned in and great throughout the session, think I played pretty good as well, except for some unavoidable spews , anyways here is the graph.

on a side note, finally in profit for the year $$$$

thank you thank you , but tbh Arp is the one crushing me latly, I am in a nasty 200k b/e stretch...

        Last 230k hands 50nl only ...

        Spoiler:

        Pretty ugly

Thank god for 25nl though, not sure why results are so much better there. 50 nl regs are DEF not that better, slightly more agressive but thats about it.

Today not going so well, might post a graph at the end of the day, but not very motivated at the moment, tired of running so bad at arp, not even ev wise, but overall. BUT don't want to start complaining, Ill stick my head into it and hopefully things will turn around soon enough

According to my calculations I get about 680fpp per hour, so I should clear the bonus in 36 hours roughly. If all goes according to play Ill get it by the end of this week. However I am slacking on uni lately and will try to study a lot as well. On a side note I started 8 tabling again.. I figured that it doesn't hurt my winrate that much so why not.

8 tabling? sounds hectic man. Red line does not tank when multitabling like that?

I know at FR that red line matters less, but still.

Pretty sure that if you would 4 table Arp, you would get back to your usual form and achieve the "usual" 5bb/100 wr.

Anyways, gl w uni and poker. Balancing both this year too; can't rely on rakeback as much as before so no choice but to be a decent winner.

Thanks guys for the support !

TBH I don't find a big difference 8 tabling or 4 tabling, sure 4 tabling is slower and lets me think more on decision, but at the same time I get bored and spew, so it balances . However I am still doing very well (6.5bb last 200k hands) at 25nl and 3bb ev at 50nl last 200k hands. Plus I do think its more profitable for me to 8table , I did so math and winning at 5bb 50nl 4 tabling is far less profitable then to win at even a 2.5bb winrate 8 tabling. Plus its fun to play 2100 hands an hour

Today went well, I stayed focused and had a good session. I think I am up but I managed to not check results throughout session which is a huge improvement. Really hope Ill manage to not check results to saturday night !

I don't play 6max, I have always played FR and for now don't see a reason to take the risk and move up. I like the steady income from the tables I play. However if by this summer I manage to make a good amount of money I might try 6max, but do it right by getting a coach etc..

Did a lots of stuff today so won't be playing much. I will try to play 4 hours though. Today I decided that I will stop mass tabling simply to get hands in. I will start to study the game which I havnt done for ages, and if by June I make 10k, I will consider making the switch to 6 max. Long way to go till then.
