hey guys was just wondering if this whole covid19 thing changed anyone's poker goals that much? are you still doing the same thing? or adapting to something totally new? was just curious and would love to hear how people are handling things now. post what your current goals are, past goals and future !
ill start with mine before this whole covid19 thing it really sucked for me. I'm a small-mid stakes grinder cash games mostly $1/3 $2/5 and $5/5 all live and a tiny bit online through something like PokerBROS just because where i live you can't play online for real money. I worked as a bartender/server for a franchise for a year leading up to this and played poker on and off for about 6-7 years now. For some reason all my studying away from the table mixed with experience paid off because 3 weeks before total lockdown in my state i took a trip to AC booked a huge win and played at my local underground spots in NY and kept booking win after win with maybe 2 losses out of 14 wins i felt at the moment i think i finally have this down. Than wham covid19 all my poker spots closed along with the casinos i'm currently not working because all restaurants closed also. I am in school and am half way through from graduating with a degree in computer science. My goal is to wait this whole thing out, Buy a membership from pokercoaching.com and maybe work with a real coach and come back strong mostly in MTTS since those are my weaknesses Cash games i crush I also ordered Modern poker theory and Exploitative poker play and plan to read them front to back instead of just watching movies all the time with my gf my goal is to become a winning Mid stakes MTT grinder and acquire a title or ten lol Hope this post offers some motivation or leads to someone lending theirs thanks guys hope everyone and their loved ones remains safe and well!
