GL with the grind

Super swingy week. Looks like HR for my job gonna take a long time to process everything looks like ill be able to grind few more days before returning. I'll take it. Was looking forward to hit that memorial day OT but watever. Goal for this week is gonna be 300 sngs + tomorrow about 5-6 MTT's thrown into the mix.

Started to increase my table count slightly from 10 tables to 11. Laptop is driving me crazy playing 11 at once though. Need to wait until deposit bonus is cleared in Aug to withdraw any money out. Temptation is real. If I bink a MTT on pokerstars I can withdraw whenever so hoping to go deep in the 10/7.5k.

My last session of the day mental game was on point. I have made it a point to work on a few things this week including my mental game/ focus on restealing against regulars more often (sometimes I get lazy when playing a lot of tables)/ opening up my game a bit in the right situation when blinds hit 25/50 & 50/100. Additionally my last session of the day I was getting wreck'd first 10 sngs literally everyone came in 5/9 was getting a tad bit annoying. Last 8 games I played took 3 (1st place) & 4 (2nd place) to save my arse.

*** me i just typed out my whole update for tonight then I went to click a new tab (I thought) and clicked X, closed out the whole internet lol my luck.

In other news, WE OUT of the downswing hole again. Been fighting it hard last 2 days or so and finally had a nice day, started winning some flips and we back now. Started the day off facing a 1500 chip shove @ 10/20 blinds with AA and up against QTo and board came out A489J and I was like of course its ALL GOOD just don't do this garbage the whole day, lets be done with it now. Luckily that was the worst of it.

Pumped about my new bankroll peak and went from averaging 10 tables now at 12. It is alot for my laptop but handling it aight. Might as well mass table while getting good RB. Since I've been grinding my ass off this week already at 253 games this week I'm gonna play a few MTT's with a small fraction of the profit I made today. Goal for a whole week being 4 days played is always 300 during this quarantine so I can chill out a bit tomorrow if I feel like it. I'll see how I feel and maybe start later and maybe start up a small project in the house or yard work.

So yesterday played around 11-13 tables at all times but barely played only 2 sessions and started at like 7pm was doing stuff during the day and relaxing. Once 645 hit i was like damn i really need to stop being lazy its the last day of the week of my grinding and last day to hit 15th for the leaderboard. Afterall this might be one of my last grinding days before returning back to work. We will see. Was a very good day and last session added (2) $25 games and cashed in both of them. Additionally secured another $20 promos today.

I'm really amped to finally hit $3,000 Bankroll as it was one of my goals for this year. My plan is to be a regular at the $25 limit even if it is a bit reg fested I really cannot avoid not to play them at this stage of the game with my current bankroll. Just a quick update.. I have been cleared to return to work but may take some time to get back on the schedule due to HR, unsure when. I think it might take a few days before they get the ball rolling. If that does happen and I get the next few days off meaning fri sat sun last 3 days of the month to grind I got a few goals in mind..

Not gonna be able to complete the revised goals as today was my first day back at work. HR acted quickly surprisingly. No problem there cause being home so much gets a bit old. Happy to get back into my old routine of preworkout + workout before going to work. Not sure if I’m gonna be able to play any for the rest of the month we will see depends on overtime.

Thanks bro. Being down 20-25 buy ins def made me feel a bit uneasy but told myself keep pushing through Before seeing any run outs told myself everytime quality decisions that’s all that matters. I started to make my decisions and not watch the run outs just go to the next table make another decision. That started to help a bit.

I'm back at work but doing what I can poker wise. My 2nd day back which was yesterday had to work 2pm-6am for a mandatory double. Def gave me a good kick in the ass that I needed. It was an extremely weird feeling being out of the prison for 2 months then going back I had to get my shiet back together. First day back I was my usual self and was being way too casual then today I'm back into the swing of things yelling at the inmates demanding respect and calling out those who need to be checked.

It was nice to be able to play a quick session tonight regardless of only an hour. If I keep this up the small hour session of 15-20 games add up quick. I told myself after seeing the results I produced this past month I decided instead of trying to pick up a small part time job I will give sngs a try to treat it like a part time job. Instead of being miserable pulling crazy hours at a security part time job ill do this + some OT shifts here and there. I'll have to come up with a cash out system while still being able to build my roll.

Wouldn't worry about the $25s being reg infested to be honest. Lots of the regs are sheep in the clothing of a wolf. The fact you look at icmizer alone puts you in the top 5% there.

If you have discipline you can for sure do it as a side grind rather than a second job. However the true money in SNGs isn't just getting better but learning how to do more tables and doing continuous sessions (I.E. playing for 4 hours straight no break) as the wind down/wind up time are times of less $/hr as you won't be at your max table load. Good luck.

That is actually something I have been wondering. How far its needed to push the line. I went from 8 tabling to now 13-14 tabling and finally feels under control. At first felt like a bit much. The longest loading time I've done was 3 hours meaning around 3 hours and 30 min session in total which was def my max. Took a lot out out me. Average session roughly 2 hours loading time. That being said I see the value of it esp with all these bonuses and promos I'm still loading silly $5 games just for the sake of having as many tables going as possible. On my days off or duing the quarantine I would take 1 hour and 30 min breaks and then play 2 hours loading did this 3 times a day if I could. Break was a bit excessive. Good advice appreciate it!

Mandatory overtime again tonight. So that’s it for the month of May will post results/ breakdown in a few days. All I gotta say is I better not get hit again tomorrow night planning to put in a late night session.

These goals for june are simple but realistic. As far as profit goes I take whatever I feel is the bulk of the games played in this case should be $10 games and use what I see an attainable ROI is which I put at 7% x 600 games played and thats my formula for the profit goal. I do it this way because ill win and lose some at the lowest level being $5 and highest level $25 and should even out give or take my ROI for each limit. Think thats a reasonable number. Not that it really matters its just a number i care more about volume and playing well more than anything.

If I hit my money earned/ bankroll goals it will set me up nicely for July taking some shots at the $50s which would be ideal. Also starting to throw in some $5 and $10 superturbos to ramp up the volume. They dont run that frequently.
