Got a fat live cash, now how to handle my newfound roll? Got a fat live cash, now how to handle my newfound roll?

I've been playing poker since I was 18 (26 now) and have up until recently been a losing live player. My br management has sucked in my beginning stages but I have grown a lot in the last two years, grinding up a 10k roll playing strictly in home cash games. A month ago I took down a $365 wsopc event with 2400 players for 81k. Paid off my student loans and now I finally have a good roll to work with, around 65k.

Now I plan on hitting the next few circuit stops and playing a couple of main events ($1675 buy in) but I know I can't keep doing that profitably... It would chew up my roll pretty quick I think. Should I focus more on 2/5 cash, maybe take a shot at 5/10 here and there? I want to try and move up and take shots but I'm not sure how to proceed with caution. Any ideas? I'd like to advance without getting too big of a head

Congrats on the score!

1. Are you taking taxes into effect? If you won $81 and paid some loans off make sure you hold some back when the inevitable tax bill hits.

2. I would use the cash to play 2/5 with some 5/10 when the game is good to build off that roll with occasional MTT shots once your roll has grown.

Yeah that's basically the plan. Im gonna wait until January when I meet up with my tax guy to get things straight before making any big purchases. Until then I'll be fine playing 1/2-2/5 with a tourney here and there
