The Consistent Bankroll Challenge The Consistent Bankroll Challenge

11-24-2019 , 12:34 AM
Description: I start out with $91.09 deposit (I will call it $100 to make it easy), and I post here about my grind to higher stakes.

Bankroll management and rules:
1. All hands will be played on ignition to start, may deposit to ACR once rolled for 10nlz if interested. Will try and keep all volume on ignition however.
2. 5nlz is the lowest stake that will be played.
3. Can shot take at 15 buy-ins of next stake (1 table)
4. No jackpot sit-and-go's allowed
5. Tournaments may only be played if:
- Account balance is >$100
- Bankroll is >50 BI of tournament minus initial $100 ($1.10 BI at $155)
- Tournaments only to be played if cash games are slow, or major edge/overlay
6. Move up to 10nlz at $300, and 25nlz at $500-600 depending on bb/100
7. Must create an update post on this thread at least ever week on Monday's.

Poker Background: I am currently 23 in the USA. I started out playing live poker in my free time, was up and down, but really loved the game. I loved that I could out smart people to win money. I loved being that kid at the table that everyone thought was a fish and scared money and would stack them. I soon realized however that live was not for me. I am too busy with life to take the 45 min drive and play enough to beat variance alone. So since then, I have focused on online, with going to live poker maybe 1-4 times a month. In live poker I am up a $1257 lifetime at 1/2. Online I am + $200ish playing mostly 5 to 10nl on ACR and Ignition. I later took out most of my online roll to start Up-swing lab which has helped me amazingly. Since then I am grinding micros to hopefully grind up somewhat. Oh, and the reason I am making this is because I tend to not follow good bankroll strategies. I tend to not be fully rolled, and will play tournaments in hops to binking, which is not smart. So the purpose of this is to help myself. Unfortunately I do not plan on having a HUD for now. If someone can link a free card catcher for HM2 on ignition I will use it! If not I plan on heading to PT4 once I get some extra cash.

Personal Background: I am a final year pharmacy student graduating in May. I have a ton of free time right now as my off blocks for clinicals have been these consecutive blocks. Money really is not an issue or reason for poker. I love the game and out-playing players. I have an amazing family, only child with wonderful parents. Also a girlfriend of 5.5 years who is amazing. Other hobbies is music. I am a huge Eric Prydz fan, and will be going to all the NYC HOLO shows in December!

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask! I am hoping to make this an open thread and have it be super casual!
