Hand of the Day - Vs Unknown Reg. Don't like flatting here to this sizing pre, would prefer a 3bet as bluff. Don't hate the line postflop, could x/fold turn, given line could and probably should shove river.

Yo hombre. I don't push myself when I skip. I think it's because since I bought my new shorter rope I haven't been able to skip without getting caught up in my feet, and having to reset, which is frustrating. I have to reset on average once every 100 skips. I count in sets of 100 switching between Running, and basic Two Foot jumping. I like being called a rookie tho, I'll boost my numbers.

you should try adding 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats and 10km run into your routine, i heard it can make u really strong and it will increase the amount of tables u can play.

Hey Aori

It's impossible to know exactly what another person you read from in a forum is going trough, but given what I've read I also think you are pushing yourself a bit too much with all the goal tracking.

I used to do this too. Was very methodical while tracking daily specific goals, but it can cause a lot of frustration, stress and wasted time if you are not complying with the routine everyday.

I think its ok to f*ck up sometimes, we all feel burned out or want to sedate ourselves from time to time, no shame in that. We all feel way too tired one day to wake up or to post a blog or etc.

What I found worked best for me was just power trough and also go with the flow, without tracking so much.

You know the things you want to do in your daily routine, so just do them, dont sacralize them so much. If we give routines/things/parts of the day too much importance they will over bear us when we dont accomplish them. If you miss something fk it, you are doing a great effort anyways, dont be so hard on yourself, its not such a big deal.

It is 100% more important to just keep doing stuff rather than looking back at every detail missed and concern ourselves too much with it.
Just keep going, keep going, keep going, if u fk up one, two times, keep going, if you miss 1, 2, 3 items in your routine, keep going, dont stop. That will get you the farthest in the end and with less sadness.

Dont waste time counting mistakes, just power trough. And believe me, I love sacralizing stuff, it makes everything I do feel so special, like Im being mindful and meditative and Im feeling the beauty of it all. BUT there is a BIG downside to it too. I dont mean you have to be a cynic and overlook the importance of little things, it is more about keeping the wheels spinning and improvising on the way.

Dont know if this makes sense to you, I just saw myself from a few years back in your post, maybe Im wrong.

What I do nowadays is; most nights (if I forget one or go out sometime and dont do it, its not a big deal), I write down my goals for tomorrow on a Note on Evernote. I check it before getting to work and I see what are the most important things for the day and just get on with them, dont sacralize, just do, do, do. If something comes up I go with the flow, if I want to change something I just do. Everything I dont do just gets re evaluated at night and see if I push it for tomorrow or delete it.

I also make BIG YEAR GOALS, very vague goals, like for example one is: Learn Programming. Then Every Month I do a bit more specific goals: Finish the CodeCademy Course on JavaScript. Then Everyday the goals I set are very specific oriented towards completing those monthly/yearly goals one step at a time. If I miss one fk it. I just keep it as a guideline. If I dont check it one day fk it too.

Your daily tracking is not meant for having a 90%+ completing task on every small goal, its meant to make you move forward on your big goals trough the year and GROW. Remember that. As long as you are moving forward it will be ok! People who dont are the ones that keep focusing on every small aspect too much and end up losing the battle with all the pressure they have imposed on themselves!

Good Luck!

I plan to work remote/part time or maybe join a big company 1-2 years to gain a lot of experience and then build a start up.

My screen name is very common because Hero Of Time is often a way to refer to Link from Legend of Zelda.

Evernote is the nuts I agree, I stoped using all the other goal tracking apps and now I use Evernote for everything, + writing + saving cool stuff, websites, books, etc.

On both of your healthy habits, I think they are very good. I do a lot of spots, outdoor stuff and eat kind of healthy too. But I definitely think there is point where you can over do it.

If you exercise regularly, drink a lot of water, dont eat **** food, sleep well you will be fine in terms of health.

Hey Stroggoz. It's not always the case, but in general: strong body = strong mind.

Hey HeroOfTime. Thank you for your thoughtful message, and the time you took to share your experiences with me. The paragraph I quoted rang true to me. I do feel like there's a fine line between creating a healthy routine, and letting that routine become an unhealthy part of your identity. I'm doing my best to not beat myself up when I don't execute my plans. It is all about progress, and adapting to what works. Keeping things in perspective isn't always easy for me, but I'm getting better at it. Growth.

Also thank you for the recommendation to check out Evernote. I'll look into that and see if it fits into my life.

Cheers.

Yo Heroshima, thanks for the message. I do microdose psilocybin every 3-4 days. Psilocybin has been a great teacher. Yeah dude, barefoot walking through nature is one of the most rewarding parts of my day.

I haven't tried sun-gazing before. I first heard about it 2-3 years ago and was quite intrigued, but didn't go deep into learning about it. Do you have any experience sun-gazing yourself?

Hey!

It's actually a movie reference

But also it's also not a movie reference, however! I have a boxing background and to my knowledge the boxing is the most skip rope oriented sport out of them all, as far as I know, so I don't think it's too surprising I've got a good skip rope

I think it's a lot about muscle memory and endurance, after that you can add in more advanced skips. Skipping rope like a boxer, double unders of course, crossing the rope as you skip, crossing rope and doing 'sprints' with your legs e.g. knees up high both same time

Haha nice unintentional quote. The tricks don't interest me as much as improving the consistency and amount i can get done within 5 mins as of now. The differently styles of jumps are cool tho, it's pretty neat watching a boxer skip.

Sun Gazing I have little exp. with. practiced during safe hours, start with 10 secs in morning right before sunrise and/or before sunset. increase +10 seconds every day until ~30 min or so. I was up to ~90 secs but did not continue. plenty of benefits, just lazy or busy to keep track of the safe hours during which i either sleep or work. every now and than I will take a peek at the sun. will try to be consistent again, it's worth it.
That's an interesting schedule. I'm in a similar boat with how I view mushrooms. I consider psychedelics vitamins for the soul. Haven't heard of Paul speaking on that 5-2 schedule, but he likely knows what he's doing. I love listening to/reading that mushroom man's work. I did used to take lion's mane on a daily basis, as per his recommendation, but didn't really notice any effects, and when I ran out I didn't purchase anymore.

If you've noticed benefits, good idea getting back into the sun-gazing. That's something I'll keep on my radar, but for now I've got to much on my plate to give that the time it deserves. Sounds like quite the commitment, but also nice that it gives you an excuse to take in a sunrise/sunset. I need more of those in my life.

Hand 1

No point in raising turn

I like to either bet something like 40-50% on flop or check like you did. Against fish I think Im betting 100% of the time

As played, on turn there is not much point in raising him. You dont need that much protection, and you expose yourself to getting shoved and having to fold which sucks big time.

Even with the small sizing I would just flat.

River, generally I fold to fish's over bets, but with this weird lines I might call. Are you gonna win 35% of the time at least? I think its close but more inclined for a call.

Hand 2

literally makes no sense. Preflop is perfectly fine I would never played it different.

Flop Against 1 opponent you might want to flat flop. Against 2 I would never flat. But raising is suicidal in this spot. Dont want to be mean, but being aggressive doesn't mean just raising without a good reason, you have to pick your spots.

It's been a weak week, but we're back.

I've had a lapse in discipline which has caused a relapse. This started when I began working, and has been escalating to where I'm at now. I've been neglecting my health, and falsely justifying it to convince myself I'm not failing. But I am failing, and that's okay, all this pain, all this failure, it is my teacher.

When I began working I started to drink every night, anywhere from 5-10oz of tasty Rum. I then started waking up later than planned, and neglecting my morning routine. This caused a lack of energy throughout the day, and the repetitive comfort of sedating my mind in the evening became my standard.

A week ago, I quit my job. This was the first job I had had in 4 years, and it was an eye opener. What started as a fun environment quickly became a grind, and what seemed like friendly like-minded staff became the same narcissistic crew that seems to permeate the restaurant industry. The reason for quitting was due to being lied to by the owner/manager, who had promised me the opportunity to Serve and Bartend when a position opened up. After new employees had been hired and I questioned the owner she informed me that due to having no experience I wouldn't ever be serving or bartending in her restaurant. I finished up my shift, gave my resignation letter, and proceeded to the bottle to destructively attempt to drown out my pain. The anger I felt towards her was some of the strongest emotion I'd felt in months.

I took two lessons out of that experience:
1) Most employers will try to take advantage of you.
2) I need to more clearly make my needs heard so they can be met. If there appears to be a misunderstanding, communication needs to be addressed so both parties are on the same page.

I felt confused after having quit, because I know how much it meant to my family to see me in the working environment again. This isn't about them though, this is about me, and I couldn't continue to work for someone who disrespected me in that manner.

This also re-ignited my hatred of having a boss and someone to answer to.

Over the past week I've been continuing on the trend of neglecting my morning routine, sedating myself in the evenings, and it's only getting worse. My mental health has been on a decline. This stops today.

Starting today we're back to showing our-self the love we deserve. There is no more alcohol at my place, the cannabis has been stored away, and the outlined daily plan is back in tact.

This won't be easy, but momentum will build, and we will be back on track before we know it.

Thanks for reading,
See you tomorrow
