Managed to eek out a ~$700 profit (in for 1200, out for just over $1900) But boy did it feel like work.

Didn't win one raffle. Only got back over even last 2 hours or so after spending most of the day between $900 and 1200 stack (-300 to even).

Overall, happy with my play. Prob should have won more but can never be too upset when u go home with more than u came with.

But man was that a grind.

Musta been like digging ditches or something.

Limped 6 alway to button who makes it 35 with about 175 behind.

I have A4ss and flat hoping for A waterfall (Normally I fold, but this table has shown a propensity for calling once one player calls a preflop raise.) Even if it's folded around I think my hand fairs well against Button's range (tho obviously I can't be crushing anything...).

Flop J23r. Checked to HJ who bets 50. I see this as classic weakness. What's the purpose of that bet if not to stop the original raiser from committing more money to the pot than HJ is willing to commit?

If he had a powerful hand he would likely check to raise the short-stacked preflop raiser and hope he commits. I put him on a mid-range hand, like KJ or similar. He's lost and confused and doesn't know where he's at in the hand. Poor thing is scared. If button folds I figure I'll help show him the way home.

Just showed down J2ss (my button) on a AT2KQddd board. Straddle preflop to 25. I was second to call because BUTTON. 4 see flop HJ bet 40. I call because I have a PAIR and he bet so small and it's hard to make a pair.

Turn and we all check I think a third diamond hit here. River brings the Q. And HJ bets again $40 and I raise to $125 because I have STRAIGHT and maybe he'll fear the flush and lay down his straight or anger call me with TRIPS.

He calls I say I have the straight he slams AJ UNHAPPILY and I proudly table my jack duey.

Reputation is firmly intact.

These people simply have no concept about how hard it is to hit a pair. Plus all the backdoor straight draws I had.
