MARCH SUMMARY
Volume: 34.2k/37.5k hands – I recently started tracking “estimated variance” in my journal, which means I’m taking a guess as to how I ran – post session and rate it between 1-10, 1 being hot and 10 terrible. Helps me deal variance and stay sane. For the 2nd half of March it has been a 5.
The results have been ok, considering that I recently moved up and got crushed during my first 2 shots at 50nlz. I’m aware of most of my leaks and will assess my month’s stats on Monday and look into plugging more of them. When I went through my biggest losing pots around a week ago, I could’ve saved somewhere between 6-10 BI, which is encouraging.
I can definitely make big improvements in the consistency department. Studying and playing has not really been at fixed times which is likely not a good thing. I’ll address that.
APRIL GOALS
Gym: 4 sessions per week (+sauna – helps recovery and has solid health benefits)
Reading: “Flow – the psychology of optimal performance”, Elon Musk (biography)
Volume: 75k hands (might up the volume in later stages of my journey, but I think a 50:50 ratio of play:study is really good, especially in micros where you don’t really want to waste your time grinding a ton of volume and not improving at a steady rate)
PIO: 10 hours per week (splitting PIO study into 2 sessions per day – one before and one after my sessions – and increasing overall study-volume)
Session reviews: 3 per week (already started recording footage, so this is on its way as well)
