fyp.

But yeah, don't really have an political view of the whole thing ( a fish in this area, and don't really care about politics at all), don't really have a strong political view of any kind, bet was purely based on what I viewed as valuebet, no idea if I was correct on my view at the time or I just binked all in OESD vs set OTF. Only opinion I kinda hold about the whole thing, is that I view both sides being kind of close sighted.

Lets take an example of how one side view Trump. He says a lot of ******ed ****, a lot. But when you look it at now, clearly it worked. Does this mean he thinks like how he states in public? I'd make a guess that it's for sure not 1:1. If you look politics, or more closely the part of poltics where you need people to vote for you, clearly the GTO thing to do, is to make yourself favourable to as many people to as possible, and here Trump did exactly that. Can you blame him for possibly taking advantage of this? Or maybe he just actually is this way and just got lucky? No idea, but IMO making strong opinions on one candidates public statements seems really ******ed.

His loud persona and anti PC act is part of that for sure, but if him coming off as unknowledgable and contradictive on every other issue was just an act to trigger left wing media then... Well I'd be pretty damn impressed

Fun thread, nice results, glgl.

Nah man thing is there are a lot of american's out there that agree with the ******ed **** he says however they haven't spoken up/popped up until now.

I agree yeah he's trying to make himself favourable to the majority but in reality trump is basically appealing to the 1%/elitist of america, doubt anybody else will benefit

I hold my hands up and admit that I was one of the ones who scoffed at OP and probably called his bet ******ed at the time.

Congrats OP, sick score!

Spoiler:
Hope Trump nukes Finland now hehehehehe

Month going ok so far, decided to yolo it up and bought a script and started playing 1k on prettymuch all sites, even though not was not exactly properly rolled for it. Well it depends on how you look at it, I'm often not playing 8x 1k tables, but more like 2-4 and rest 400-600, so would make an average stake of more like NL600-700 than NL400-500. And rolled for that. First time EVER I'm actually not running aids at 1k, so feels good.

12-13-2016 , 09:27 PM
Which script did you get?
12-18-2016 , 03:16 AM
BOOOOOM!

Biggest winning day evrrrrr! First sess of the day was horrible (first 500 or so hands), made some meh plays and tiltcalldown vs fish, that was kind of reasonable call, but still easy fold otr. Was close to calling it a day. Went to play few overwatch and untilt with Torbjörn, headed back to tables and it was just whales evriwhere and I kept hitting ****.

Also ****ING MADE IT, NOT A LIFETIME LOSING PLAYER AT 1k (atleast the EV graph....)!!!!! Basically been just running like god at 1k and super meh at 400-600, but I'll gladly take it this way around for once!

Month looking great, but not gonna start slacking, it's the time of year where you can really make some dollars!

Finished december. Results are ok, volume was **** as didn't play too much after moving back to hometown for christmas around 22th or so, and took last 3 days totally off to spend time with friends. Could've won so much more if I kept putting the volume in as games were pretty awesome, but still happy to book my biggest month ever. Also enjoying the rise of bitcoin and making decent $ of that too.

Around 18k after rakeback, which is obv nice considering running 7k under EV, so didnt finish +20k which was kind of a goal but whatever.

Super pleased I actually ran good at 1k for first time ever.

Will write more detailed update tomorrow or so after I beat the hangover.

Gg December bud. Best of luck this year

Sweet results for December. More of the same in 2017? GL!

Okay sooooo.

2016 wasn't that great for me if we include the first 5 months when I was still rolled in uni. Had big downswing, almost went busto, dropped back to NL100 and went "pro", and after that it has been quite smooth sailing for me. During december I finally managed to start winning some stacks at 1k and break into those games, which has been a goal for me a long time. One of my ultimate goals in poker is to be a 2k regular, so trying to get there during 2017. I don't see it being too reasonable to get up to 5k+ in the time I plan to stay in poker and guys there are pretty damn good and most likely work way harder than I do so think 2k is gonna be the highest games I'm going to play ever online. And 2k is still a stake I feel there is a real possibility to get to.

So for me I'll just consider 2016 starting for me after I wen't pro, which was around May.

Between 1.5 and 31.12 I think I made only something like 30k directly from poker, though I made approx 50k from cashgames and lost 20k to mtts. US presidential elections gave me a good BR boost of ~17k, almost covering the MTT losses, and also made a bunch from bitcoin. I haven't tracked my spending too accurately and played decent on untracked sites so it's estimation that should be quite close. So all in all, it's been decent so far as my "pro" career, considering I rebuilt my roll from NL100, and worked my way up to the 1k games.

NL100-600.

Winrate not amazing, as 600 still treating me ****. At 200-400 tracked I got an ok winrate of 4bb/100 over 170k hands, not spectacular but decent.

NL1k : --- D

Secret untracked site, that is tracked. NL400 mostly, with 10bb/100 winrate over 50k hands.

Also played decent 1-2k at various untracked sites where I don't really have a track of how much I won due to many sites and action selling, but estimating it being something between 10-15k.

Life wise 2016 wasn't either that great for me due to some stuff. Mostly due to the death of my father around early December 2016. Which was kind of a reason I just buried myself into poker for early December to get my mind off it, and then stopped playing almost completely when I went to hometown for christmas. It wasn't some tragic accident or anything like that, but a long battle of few years with cancer, which got really bad the last few months, so in a way the actual passing away was kind of a relief. Think anyone who has had a relative gone trough the same, knows what I'm talking about, even though it can kinda sound "cold".

Most of what I did during 2016 after May was trying to get better at poker and play it. Which isn't really healthy for you social life. Luckily I still have 2 groups of close friends, old friends and friends I made at uni, and I try, my "best" to engage frequently with all of them. But being obsessed with poker makes it really hard for me to meet girls lol. So much easier to just stay home and grind than try get out of my comfort zone and go dates via tinder etc. And when I go "out" to bars/clubs it's pretty usual to just have a laugh with friends, get really drunk and then I'm in no condition to approach girls with a winrate of +0bb/100 : DD. During 2017 I'll try to get more out of my comfort zone and get better at it. Maybe I'll also join some EPT stops, if some people I sort of know are going too and meet some of my nemeses at the onlinestreets (LOOKING IN THE DIRECTION OF THE UK), that should be fun.

Didn't really do too much travelling during 2016, but plan to do more during 2017. Only really went for a week to meet mr blakkk and almighty linus, which was pretty refreshing. And then also spent a week at barca with rl friends which was so relaxing not to think about poker for a week. Hoping to join you ****ers at some ept stop this year and have a blast.

Also went to a lan to play CSGO at late december which was a ****ing blast. Used to play CS for a long time at quite high level before poker. Battled against the best at that time NiP NAVI etc, but we never really "made it", mostly due to the lack of motivation. But playing intense CSGO matches at small 500ppl lan was a blast even though we lost the final. Big part of that was that I had played the 2nd map played in the final (overpass), like around 5 times as it wasn't around when I still played like 2-3 years ago. Still managed to win a 100€ KEYBOARD!!!! Though I'm fairly confident I still was the biggest winner there winning around 4-5k while poker for few hours. Might post our teamphoto once I find it.
01-02-2017 , 02:35 PM
good job

do you play faceit?
01-02-2017 , 02:42 PM
Well yeah, basically play faceit with friends if I sometimes manage to open CSGO, but don't really enjoy playing CSGO anymore casually as I just get so tilted at how bad I'm in it if I haven't practiced for 1-2 weeks straight.

Forgot goals for 2017:

[ ] Make enough money for to taking another year off of uni being reasonable, for me this is 100k. If I don't see myself having an EV of 100k between 2017 and 2018 summer I'm heading back to school.

[ ] Travel more, maybe one EPT, and then maybe longer trip alone somewhere

[ ] Keep getting better, and break into 2k games.

[ ] Read 3 books. (I suck at reading books and want to get better, 3 is reasonable, considering read like 1 during 2016).

[ ] Do better job at getting out of my comfort zone.

GG on the nice results this year, I think we're in pretty similar places irl as I can relate to literally all of the stuff you talked about bar the stakes we're playing at haha. Sub'd, glgl in 2017.
