Mid month update!!!


Sklansky is just not giving me a break. (( But wcyd, not actually annoyed too much about running so much under EV, just loving poker too much and the fact that my evbb is still going pretty strong at 1k+ (not this month) I feel pretty confident of my abilities. On pace for 200k EV year, but real dollars lack quite a lot behind lul. Took like 1-2 days off now and so excited to play again later today. Volume so far isn't that strong and probably not hitting the 50k hand goal, but tbh I'm happy if I manage to get 40k+. Also been regbattling some at 1k lately, not going all linus and opening 5 tables, but just having 1 table per site to protect the seat and sometime 2-3 at stars. Those have been going well and actually feel pretty confident against most regs. Obv sample is nonexistent. And probably won't ever get a proper sample as don't see a reason to open 5 tables of regbattles when one is enough to guarantee a seat with fish and then just have NL400-600 with higher EV to fill up.

Also 99% gonna fail the reading goal too, annoyed about that, but just usually too burned out after grinding to read.

Gym has been going ok overall, though I ****ed up my shoulder a bit and took 1 week off totally, and atleast for 1 week, not gonna bench at all and watch out it a bit. Fixed my DL form which I'm pretty excited about. Probably hitting the gym goals, already did 140kg dl but only 2-3 reps and squat at 105kgx5 now. Bench might lack behind because of the shoulder, need to keep an eye on that. Took form check vids of dl and squat and maybe posting here laterr.


OW GOALS NOT GOING STRONG. Was like 3.9k peak, but been dropping to like 3.6-3.7 and not been playing too much, just tilts so much to soloQ with ******s every other match.

Already got some tips from few guys mostly regarding the squat form and the negative dl, but appreciating more tips/comments. Had never before taken a formvid and was a bit unsure of them, but was honestly surprised how good the DL form looked. Thinking of buyin proper squating shoes as my height kinda makes it annoying to get proper form on it and I hear the shoes help out a lot.

Well, after finishing Shantaram I haven't really looked or found any novel, but been reading more of learning books, Thinking fast and slow, and now Intelligent Investor. Those are the type of books you can read that well when tired.


Any tips on good novels, really liked Shantaram?

shantaram was my first book that i seriously read. Absolutely loved it. i followed it by "power of the dog" and "the cartel" which is sequal to POTD. Semi-based on el chapo and the mexican drug cartel. Looks from the DEA in america side and the mexican drug lords side. pretty crazy read. The cartel was just carnage

i found it a good transition from shantaram. Im looking for something new now though

I think your quite strong considering your weight (not alot mass). Keep it up and hope you start run better!

I don't think that's a problem. Im doing lowbar squat, and it naturally makes your torso be more vertical compared to highbar squat.

Yeah rotator cuffs is something I'm definitely gonna start excericing onces my shoulder recovers.

And thanks for book recommendations, gonna check those out. Shantaram was also one of my first books I really read and it's so ****ing good, really recommend it to anyone looking for books to read.

Haha, yeah I look kinda skinny on those vids, but I think It's alot to do with me being kinda tall. I'm like 185~ and ~82-83.

not sure I can help, I read mostly fantasy novels, the one I'm currently reading is very good but if you're not into that then unsure if you'd like it

just go on goodreads.com if you want some ideas, you can see the ratings and best book of the year in each category etc.
