Chasing the dream. Poker road trip. Chasing the dream. Poker road trip.

Ok so after a couple of weeks trying to find a grind house or trying to find people who were interested in getting one I have had no luck. So ive decided that after Christmas im going to get in my car and chase my dream. I read a thread on here and it just inspired me. Truly as with most things you just have to say one day "Im going for it". And thats what im doing. I currently live in Orlando FL and will still have a place here to come back to if all is lost. A little background on me.....
Im 26 and ive been playing poker for 6 years. Started as a hobby and then grew into a passion and now my dream. I have had so many ups and downs along the way it's been crazy. Some things not even poker related. I had to learn the hard way about bankroll management which if not used will destroy any good player. As well as playing to many hands. I've had some success online but mainly my success has been mostly in live cash games and tournaments. My style is extremely TAG and my appearance also helps when putting in a nice bluff lol.

So I've decided im going to take 2500 which I know is a extremely thin roll. But possible. And pack my clothes and travel up the east coast and stop at various rooms. Then shoot from AC over to Vegas. Hopefully by then my roll will accommodate. I want to do this before I get married or have any kids that way if I go broke it will only affect me. Plus its a hell of a lot easier to save $ and build a roll. Im really excited and know I will do well as I dont play any other games including slots. Those are costly leaks. My main leak is a love for trees. Which will prob never go away lol.

Anywho I just wanted to see if anyone wants to chase their dream as well or if not wish me luck. If your on the east coast shoot me a pm and let me know of some good rooms or games. I may leave at the end of this month I haven't really decided. May just go down to miami and the end of the month and then stop through Orlando around Christmas to see family as I head north. So wish me luck or come on! Lets get it!!!

I'm thinking about playing a local live weekly low-stakes tournament here again since I've been playing a lot lately, but man I can't imagine the guts it takes to take it on the road.

I've always enjoyed the social challenge of playing live poker even though my focus now is on online poker, so good luck and I'm sure you'll have a hell of a story to tell either way!

Flop the nuts!

Thanks man! Its been my dream for a year now just didn't have the stomach. After reading some other posts and thinking about it and reflecting on my life I've never felt about anything the way I feel about poker. Thats how I know it's meant to be! Thanks for the good luck!

I just love to see a good underdog success story haha. If you're swinging by colorado in the future, let me know and we can play a few games together

you'll do fine, just be positive and when bad things happen don't worry about them

Thanks man im gonna stick to strict bankroll management and not move up to 2/5 till I have at least 5k. That way I can always go back to 1/2 if I suffer a few bad beats. Have a great mindset and a great feeling. It's my destiny lol. Thanks for the good vibes. Doing research on rooms along the way now. Luckily have friends in AC so will have connects and a cheap place to stay.
