"Chaos, isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some, are given a chance to climb, but they refuse. They cling to the realm, or the gods, or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is."

I will climb.
I will take my chances.
The fall will not break me.

In this thread I am going to document my journey playing micro SNGs and MTTs. I won't be posting graphs though (I find posting these when playing bad or running bad is demoralizing) I will only post when I move up in stakes. There will be hands though and what I am doing to aid myself in the climb.

I have purchased Raise your Edge's sit and go course. I won't be playing hyper's but there will still be plenty to learn from it.

I plan to look at the PostFlop as PFA IP over the next weeks. I've already looked at the preflop section and have a rough idea about it. Just need to make sure I adjust accordingly. I will look at this along with postflop spots when I review my games.

Weekly review
Watched part one of Postflop as the PFA and set up a filter for cbet opportunity. Before each session I looked over the hands that matched this filter from the night before and I feel pretty good about how it went. In an effort to think in ranges more I have turned off hero cards while reviewing a hand, while trying to think about what portion of my range should be cbetting or checking etc and the villains range.

I know I said no graphs but people love graphs.
So here is my 1st 135 $0.50 9 max sit and go games.

This weeks focus is going to be on part 2 of Postflop as the PFA. I will no doubt set up more filters this week to help me find spots to review.

Its now Monday so that's the end of the week for me.

Wasn't the best of weeks.
[x] 8 study hours
[ ] 36 hours played. Only managed 24 hours.

Pleased with how things are going overall though and I learned a lot from the last video. Will go back and re-watch it though. I do notice I am thinking more and not just clicking buttons. Before my thought process was something along the lines of this board is not good for villains range so I should bet. And I would bet the same amount regardless. Now I'm getting a better idea of what the ranges look like and how my bet sizes are affected based on that. Still a lot of work to do on it but it should get better with practice.

When I get home from work tonight it will be Tuesday so the plan is to watch and take notes from the next video in the course, Postflop as PFA OOP, then play for six hours.

This week's goals are
[ ]8 hours of study
[ ]36 hours of play
[ ]Watch Postflop as PFA OOP and take notes

I have started to add in $0.50 45 man games as well.

Got ICIMIZER, Power-Equilab.

I've watched the video and took notes. Plan on watching over it again since it was an hour and half. Set up some new filters for PT4 for finding hands that are related to it.

Time to get posting hands in the RYE discord and facebook and learn how to break a hand down properly.

Goals this week
[ ]8 hours of study
[ ]36 hours of play
[ ]Watch the video on Re-stealing

I have been thinking about other stuff I would like to achieve besides improving my poker game.

Life goals :

Get fit. I've grown unhappy with my fitness over the last few months. I will be 29 in May and I'm currently almost 14 stone at 5'10. I want to lose my beer belly. I will be cutting down on fizzy drinks, junk food and microwave meals. I also plan on going back to Muay Thai again. Started this back in January but family stuff got in the way of fully committing to it.

Get a fight. I think this would be a good experience and something that I would need to be fit for.

Get my drivers license. Will need this for work.

Get signed on and off as a Manager. Will find out in June if I will be picked to progress. This is the easier goal on this list. I just need to be stand out from the other candidates.

[X]8 hours of study
[ ]36 hours of play (7 hours)
[X]Watch the video on Re-stealing

Volume was poor. Had overtime at work. Managing to study though and review what little games I played. The video on re-stealing was eye opening and I've took plenty of notes from it. Also set up a filter on PT4 for reviewing those specific spots.

Goals for this week
[ ]8 hours of study
[ ]30 hours of play
[ ]Watch the video on Pushing and calling optimally. Both around and hour each

Bankroll hit the $100 mark this morning!

Currently sitting at $101.17 before opening the 23 chests I've got since starting.

Got $1.65 in tournament tickets so that puts the roll at $102.82

Going to flick in $0.50 180's and mtts now

100 turbo 6 max sng's played

Going to play 100 turbo 45 mans now. Then a 100 of something else. Probably 18 mans. Mainly just so I don't get bored playing the same format.

100 45's done. 18 cashes but ran bad/played bad on the fts. Got some good spots to look over though in HMC though.

Going to play 100 18's now then do 100 180's/mtts. Will go back to sit and goes. Mainly doing this because I want to play multiple formats but if I multi table them I just suck. I also get bored playing the same format over and over.
