Wrong terminology.

You 3-Bet three times his opening size IP and 4 times his opening size OOP.

Standard would using the terms bb like you did but not do ingame if that makes sense.

When someone opens 3x (3bb) you usually 3-Bet to 9bb and 10-11bb OOP.

At NL5:

Open 0,15 (3bb)
3-Bet IP 0,45 (9bb)
3-Bet OOP 0,50 or 0,55 (10bb or 11bb)

And yes I think people overfold to your standard size atm. NL5 is a nit festival after all :-).

Also talking about 100bb play, deep play is a different matter.

I think you can use 10bb vs a 3x open in the sb where your range is linear, but from bb I think it is absolutely fine to use a larger sizing when you have a more polar range.. there is no solved preflop sizing also, some people go 2.5x ip.. I think you are being quite picky imo

OPs 3b sizing strat is super std, either way lol at cringing over 12bb vs 11bb OOP facing a 3x, people don't play by 'strict rules' anymore like it's 2012. Game has evolved, and a lot of different sizings/lines can have merit.

You should be jamming Qt on river for value. No idea why you xc with AA on such a wet board. I would xr there at least. So many awful turns oop.

AA x/c on 574dd flop looks fine to me. potentially the nut worst flop for bb vs btn 3bet range. nothing wrong with checking range otf. as played turn is fine but im not excited about it.

he has all the sets where as we don't and a lot of pair plus open enders, possibly two pairs, a lot of our range is going to totally whiff this flop if you look at my whole 3bet range here

making the wrong play to help us on future streets isn't the way to look at the game, I mean it might be x/r at some frequency, it depends on villains range and how much he's betting when x to, but the way I played it definitely isn't "wrong"


QT I can see the argument for shove for sure, i'm not sure if it's better than half pot/fold really but again this is probably player dependent

He has sets but more draws and 6s+ that you get value from and half the deck can kill your action or put you in terrible spots which is exactly what happened btw. Seems you decided you were going broke on any turn but you xc worrying about sets. Seems bad play to me.

i'm not sure if it's true that he has more 6s+ I actually think villains are under defending btn v sb 3bet here and and I give him around 15percent flatting range and that is actually quite optimistic. By betting I lose all his bluffs and he can fold a heck of a lot on this flop as we are giving up a ton and you will only be betting your super strong hands if I played it like you said, making it very easy for him to play against.
I didn't get put in a terrible spot lol, I called and got value from his semi bluffs
