Hey Hap, I dont really go in too much depth with specific hands anymore. I am always trying to refine my simplified strategy, working on recognizing hots spots for exploits like certain board textures, and so forth. I am mostly going over the same material I have constructed over and over until it becomes ingrained. I have put together a lot of bits and piece for now and i will add PIO work in the near future.

GL in 2018 to you too!

Thanks bro, yeah iv mentioned it a few times in the thread haha. Well my game is a little cleaner now and more refined than before. I would just work on keeping things simple and game selection. Moving up as fast as possible due to rake. gl to you too!

Happy with how I played today, managed to stack someone on my last hand too which was nice (also got stacked first hand lol). Decided to buy a new laptop today, its been a while and my dual core was too slow and incapable of running software I will start using.
Got a good deal on a Acer Nitro 5, 16gb ram, with a solid graphics card and processor. Looks and feels pretty cool with IPS and the gamer look. Going to spend tonight transferring all the data.

I'm intrigued. Are you basically starting with a lot of range betting spots and then refining it down in terms of play on the later streets? Or am I wide of the mark here?

Its mainly pio driven, the blueprint I implement has been developed by somebody else. I am just tweaking it to my style/preference - not much though.

IMO display pictures are a distraction. I've turned them of and played over a year like this. Sometimes my ps crashes and all the settings are turned to default. Even copying and pasting some files doesn't help. Then i see all of a sudden all the display pictures, the horror!

Also i recommend starshelper. It turns all the chips into BBs.

                Good luck at 2018!

Was in sort of a flow state today, played really well overall and won a ton of small pots. Put in 3.3hours of poker and 1h so far study, going to do another 1-2 after dinner.

Also had a quick look at balance and im 6 buy ins away from a 200nl shot, kind of excited for that. No real interesting hands apart from that wonderful J9 above

Quick update, yesterday was a scheduled half day and ended up studying for 3 hours and didnt play as I was quite sleep deprived.

Had a quick look at my girafe since starting thread, hit that 5k mark.

Pushing the sizing vs good rec, had another similar right after too

Thanks bro, yeah im playing full time. Not too many CFPs have deadlines soon haha. glgl

Had some different poker reflections recently. I was reading about sleep since iv been trying to figure out why i randomly have sleepless nights, although i rarely have them now, they still happen sometimes. I have made some correlations to life satisfaction/happiness etc - for my case that is.

Many experts in the area talk about 'sleep hygiene' and optimising your environment and so forth. It got me thinking about my 'poker hygiene'. When I look back at my break even rb grind times 2016 to late 2017 I basically had a huge lack of poker hygiene. I never had warm up sessions, something I always do before playing now. I never play without an hour of warm up/study in the morning. I didnt really study and optimise my tech or mental game. I have also developed some of my own poker exercises which are like 20-30min long. Everything is more purposeful and structured which has helped me develop a relatively strong life balance. I used to be a pro athlete up to about 20 years old and I often think about it now in the same light. Every session is an event and i dont go into a competitive event without a proper warm up, and you cant be a pro athlete without any sort of intense development/training.

                        end rant

Crushing as usual, keep it up bro.
Pleno mentioned that BitB was going to launch a cash stable very soon, dont know what your plans are obv, but you might wanna consider that before joining a cfp. In the MTT world they seem to be far ahead of the competition, so I am thinking that the cash thing will be pretty damn good too. BPC is still goat cfp obv, but Bitb is close too
Either path you choose i know you will crush! Good luck!

Just skipped through 90% of your thread. Nice. I have some questions, but any that are too intrusive just tell me to foxtrot oscar.

What country...didn't see it mentioned, did see the cars (nice) and your English is perfect...so UK???

You believe strongly in the mental game (me too) and you mention warm ups/downs...did you get this from Tendler?? What do you do to warm up?

What are your long term goals in poker?

Hey bro, no I live in Bulgaria. I have studied overseas though. Iv read Tendler but my warm ups and cool offs are self developed. I rotate a couple of things, either note reviews with hh reviews or a video with note taking and strat review. I want to be a 5/10 - 10/20 reg with a good win rate.

Yo, no I havnt I am quite narrowly focused on one style of play. Although I sometimes watch/read other strat to see how others think about the game. When i occaisonally watch one of the BTS team stream its always strange to me how different we perceive poker.

Just wondered as I've just watched one this morning and it's exactly what I've been looking for in terms of revamping my own strat (range betting with some really good explanations and pio analysis). Going to use them as a launch pad for that.

Sounds good, its better than playing mixed strategies - at least until we operate from a higher context imo.
