it's a mix of running hot and good approach to the game IMO. OP is making very smart +EV moves like focusing on getting better, playing vs fish and low amount of tables. In today's games it's the right approach, rakeback is nonexistent, so the focus of most poker players should be to play +EV sessions rather than high volume with low bb/100 without time to think about spots.
fyp...also, good post.

Strong metrics plus game selection are the most important points. So far iv logged 287 hours of study in the past 3 months and I can attribute my improvement a lot to that alone. Learning a really basic strategy inside out and then being able to make deviations in-game coupled with strong metrics - and then being able to integrate that over and over till its natural. I used more of a brute force method for that. I havnt really run hot im just about at ev and i ran like crap at 50nl in terms of pf all ins. High win rate = lower variance. In my opinion you shouldnt really need to play more than 100k hands per limit until some sort of meaningful stakes, maybe msnl. There is also a lot to be said about mental game and shot taking. I am still very far from where I want to be in terms of stakes/strategy. Anyways day off for me, gl to all on the grind today.

I think its because of the hot women your posting to be honest.

I would consider doing the same in my thread but my girlfriend is a complete psycho and this would no doubt be counter productive over the long term.

Thanks bro, following your thread too!

Back on the grind today, put in just under 4 hours and 1 hour warm up and 1 hour of study. Got in QQ a few times vs AK and lost all run outs, nothing can do there. Cashed out $400 to pay some bills too.

From your overall graphs is really does look like you've been blessed with some really good run, it doesn't really look like you've had much runbad in that sample. That being said 287hrs of study in 3 months is quite impressive and you winning that much money considering what stakes you play is quite nice gj.

How do you pay for bills with 90 hours of study a month?

Wish you kept threadsavers in spoilers still, I can’t read too blatantly while at work!

Put in 1.5h today as I had a bunch or real life things to take care of, along with 2h of study. Had around 3 tables up most of the time as there was barely any 200nl running earlier in the day. Might have to adjust my schedule soon. Going to do a bit more of poker admin/archiving stuff tonight.

Slightly annoying finish to the day, got in KK vs AA and AK<AQ in a 3b pot. Played A game throughout, 3h poker and 1.5h study.

Put in 3h again today with 2h of study. This tendency to get stacked whilst closing tables aint that fun lately.

Sup guys, my thread will change trajectory from now on. I will be playing at some different sites on my way to HSNL. I have found some more lucrative places and some dont offer tracking. So it will be hard to post results/hands but I will drop by from time to time with some updates if theres any interest for that. Had a good start today and I hope to be playing hsnl within 6 months. I might return to ps at some point or log some hands there too but I am sure the majority of my volume will be elsewhere.

            Ps giraf for month.

            Overall 25-200nl.
