Long time since I've been here. Needless to say, the challenge was a mess. I did get some volume in the first couple of days but the rest of the days got a bit out of hand. Had a lot of unplanned stuff coming up, not bad stuff, just went out way more than I've expected. Got way too unmotivated as well which didn't help.

Either way, it was an ambitious challenge but It could be done. I'll postpone it to some other time soon.

Crappy month to be honest, even tho I finished on the green. Played meh and ran bad most of the month. Didn't keep track of MTTs so not sure how much I've won there since I've tilt withdrew a lot of my roll. Good news is that I've already got it all back to this day.

Decided to finally upgrade my grind station and bought a 27'' BenQ screen, here it is

Tilting day yesterday. Was going to be alone the majority of the day so I had a long grind planned. Woke up did the usual stuff went to grind and the internet wasn't working. Not sure what happened but the internet here isn't that stable, sometimes disconnects me for a couple of seconds yet yesterday it wasn't just working.
Spent near one-hour surfing 2+2 on mobile data before it came back. Played for a bit but didn't regged any tournaments has it was already late and it went alright. After dinner, I regged the usual stuff and saw that 25z was running and it was juicy.
Started good but then I got stacked stupidly vs a whale and feeling the tilt I called the session off.

Today was a different story, again I would be alone until dinner time, internet behaved good and I started the grind early. Could've played way more but playing 4 Zoom tables seems to be way more exhausting over 2 Zoom + whatever tournies I'm playing.

Good news is that I've got everything back that I lost yesterday in the weird shot. Not going to shoot anytime soon, my mental game is poop and since I'm lacking on the study aspect, I've forbidden myself to shot 25nl again until I finish the darn book, no matter what the bankroll is at.

Not sure on what I want to do. Grinding Zoom is my main thing, but I also enjoy playing MTTs and they seem to be pretty easy and even the regs aren't that good but playing MTTs cuts back on my volume on cash games. Not sure on what my feelings are regarding this matter

Yesterday was a weird day




Day started good, I was playing really well and even tho I took some beatings I wasn't bothered with it.
After dinner it just went south, I started a bit slow on the session and made one pretty bad call, knowing I was beaten. Just felt sleepy AF, probably from eating too much if I'm being honest, took a quick break, made a cup of coffee, splashed my face with cold water and started grinding it back. Not exactly sure what I did to piss the RNG Gods off, but boy, were they mad at me. Things were so bad that instead of getting frustrated when I took another bad bead I just started laughing it off. I was actually having fun playing and was conscious that I was making the right plays, it just wasn't working.
Stupid thing is that I can play way more time focused when I'm loosing over when I'm winning and can withstand way more time doing it without breaks, kinda stupid.

I guess it depends what reads he has on you.

Maybe he's seen you play draws really aggressively, so he thinks you may not have a made hand at that point. Potentially, he may believe he has great implied odds if he hits his draw, in this case he's right but I guess for other hands in your range that might not be true.

I've put some thought into it and posted it on the discord that I'm in, just a waste of time on my end, looks a lot like spew and has no sense whatsoever but yeah, maybe implied odds is his reasoning

OTR I would say it's pretty close since you're pretty much at the bottom of your range and you don't block any of his heart combos which will fold to a river bet (you don't want to check/call in this spot obviously). But, your particular hand blocks all of his straight draws which he might have continued OTF. Given all of that and since I like to put capped ranges in really tough spots I'd just overbet/jam and put his Jx in a really tough spot.

Went through the book a bit more yesterday, got to increase the rhythm tho because at this pace I'll have over 100 BIs of NL10 before a take a shot...
Played terribly yesterday, was too much on a "**** it" mindset and it cost me couple BIs. All in all, it wasn't a bad day, grinding on the new screen doesn't feel immediately better but I guess I just need to get used to it.

Since I've more screen space, MTTs came around again only to brick everything once more. This freaking format and its variance it's unspeakable, I can't manage to win an All in no matter how much ahead I'm and what tilts me the most is that I can't "add chips" to chase the players. Currently losing 50€ on them this month but the sample is laughable, to say the least.

Just finished the grind. Pretty good day, overall play was better over yesterdays but still not what I can achieve. My redline is a freaking shame these last couple of days. Some bluffs aren't getting through but still, I'm sure I'm missing some +EV spots

Sessions could've been better, made some thin calls that might not be good. I'll look at them tomorrow.
Registered tournaments again because I never learn and bricked everything but one "filler" that I've regged because there was nothing else. Ran like **** for a week to win a Hyper-Turbo. I find it funny how fish play lose AF and SO with idiotic things until the Final Table, everyone was folding left and right, don't get me wrong, obviously ran pretty good to get to the FT but basically, won it stealing so thanks guys

Haven't played much poker these last few days. Not that I was really busy or anything, ragequitted a session for the first time in ages on Saturday. Things weren't going my way, took a break to restart the mindset and got beaten up again. No point in sharing details but most of it came from MTTs, in the end, it was a mix of everything.
Been studying a bit so that's an upside. Going to finish the darn book until the end of the month so I can start March with a juicy NL25 shot. Been looking at the tables and they don't seem that appealing, pretty reg infested with 2 recreationals max if you're lucky. Going to table select like crazy obviously, I'm just not too sure on how many BIs I'm going to spare but it might be around 5, depending on how I've lost them. Anyway, still some time to go before I do it.

The JJ hand, I believe you should really check that flop especially out of position since he can just float a sh*t ton and you'll be so handicapped OOP. His call with KTs to a 4bet is really spew but whatever. OTR you have an easy fold since all of his floats got there and he doesn't have any bluffs. Also, you have better hands to call down OTR in your cold 4betting range (even though I would not cold 4bet JJ in this spot).

Not sure on the Flop play, called River because I wouldn't have many better combos to call with, hand is a mess in general. Haven't looked at it yet =/

Really felt let down by the game but what can you do, bankroll is still pretty healthy due to the late AF shot taken, got 793€ atm. Kinda undecided on what to do but won't, most likely, play 25nl soon. Think that I should grind the amount lost first but might jump in some games if they look soft.
Regulars don't seem to be any better over the 10z ones but it's 1k hands so what conclusions can I take

I think you do. Think about your cold 4bet range. You have a lot of AA, AK, KK. Not sure how you construct that range but it might even contain some flushes on this board. You don't block any of his flush combos also :/ I think I know who that "reg" is lol. He flatted a huge 4bet against me with T8s and flopped trips. Feels bad man.

He's not the first and won't be the last, they just disappear, you think they've moved up and when you realize they're grinding nl2.

February recap

The month started out great, I was feeling motivated and putting up good volume. I also had more free time but I feel like I could've given more this month, especially in the second half of it. Guess I lacked a bit, I've studied more but could've played more as well.
Kinda in a bad place at the moment regarding cash games, I played the day after the failed shot and even tho I wasn't running hot I was making money but making stupid calls at the same time and realizing at the very moment what I was doing. Not sure what I had in mind, it was a small session but it cost me around 3Bis for sure. Even now, two days off the cash table I'm not feeling the "thing" to grind it again, not sure on what's happening because cash was always my thing and I just love it, not now, but I do.

On the tournament side of things, I've played 3/4 tournies per days if that much until these last two days that I've decided to not play cash. It was great, got 3 good results but they could've been better.

Got two final tables almost at the same time, first, it was this one



Kinda slipped through my hands, I was just gifted stacks early stage of the MTT but when I've arrived at the FT things just went wrong. Lost like two flips to fish and then CL jammed A7s to my BB. Got an easy call with JJ but he binked an Ace. Kinda ****ty spot because there was a 4bb dude left on the field which busted couple hands later. Kinda meh feeling to be honest

I don't mean to be cocky or an *******, everyone knows that the field is soft, after all, it's micro limits but I mean, even the regulars aren't that great. My volume is **** for sure but whenever I've got an FT I've always felt in control of the game if I had a good enough stack. It's very easy to steal stuff and most regulars don't know how to defend either their BBs or they defend it at the right frequency but are potatoes post flop. I'm pretty sure they have way more knowledge about ICM spots and what to do while shortstacking. I just think that I have a big edge if I have a stack that I can play around with.
Anyway, I know that I got second on this one but it still applies. Lost AKs<55 couple hands into the HU. Could make an argument to play exploitative and not play for stacks PF but I mean, come on it's AK xD

Flop comes something like T95s and I x/raise opener Cbet, SB had called folded to the x/raise and CO calls, turn is a Queen that brings a double suit to the board. I decide to OB jam a bit like 6bbs over the pot eff and he calls w/ KQo to bink a J on the River. Aight mate, I keep my head straight and no problem, still had in mind that this one was mine, no sweat. It was a regular structure one, so I had no rush to grind a stack back again. Couple hands later and lose KK<99, sigh, now I'm starting to doubt myself, got like 14bbs left after that one, doubled with AQs>A8o and after that nothing stopped me. Felt really satisfied with this one, played great and even tho it was a meh score it was one of my best tournaments.
Kinda funny ending, while we're HUs the other guy started whining that he never had a hand and that I always had it. I don't usually troll but this guy had it coming. Very next hand he gets KK MR it and I jam AJs for 11bbs. Bink an Ace and had a blast reading the chat afterwards xD



Also been playing some 1€ 6max Hypers as you can see above. Making pennies on them but I just love to shove **** around, having a blast with them xD

Not sure on what I want for March. Not doing any goals because I really don't know what to do, I can tell you that at the moment of writing this I've looked at the MTT lobby twice and none to the cash game pool =/

I'll leave it be and do what I want, because afterall if I'm not enjoying playing I might as well not do it. I might do a goals post tomorrow when I decide what I want
