March Recap
A bit late on the monthly update but better late than never.
Pretty unfulfilling month, feeling like I got nothing done and got zero progress regarding stakes being played. Considering the beginning of the thread I'm still playing 10z, the bankroll did grow a lot but that's still not enough considering my expectations.
Started the month with a bitter downswing, still recovered tho and even tho I've lost a bunch with 25nl shots, 6 BIs to be exact, I've managed to turn the month positive with a huge heater later.

Graph
Don't think that there's a need to pinpoint where the 25nl shots where taken
10z only
10Bis over EV, that's a lot and makes it even worst since I believe I ran particularly bad overall in the month.
Regarding studying I can say that I'm also not satisfied, I did study more than I usually do, which is zero, got some ranges worked and been looking mostly at spots on 3B pots. Not many work put into it but it's something.
What's next?
I've started grinding in April, had in mind to do 60k hands month and still do. Just not on 10z only because that takes me nowhere. Think that I've proven that I beat the stake for a good deal, 6bbEV/100 since the start of the thread. There's a lot of spew in there and some progress as well, believe I could be over 8 without a doubt.
Where am I going with this?
Basically found myself grinding 10z again and having zero motivation to shot take even tho I've like 85BIs for nl10.
My plan is to withdraw everything and leave 50€ only and start at the bottom. Going to be playing 2nl reg tables and reg tables only. Not going to touch Zoom which won't be hard since there's only 10z on the Portuguese skin of stars.
Withdrew everything but 50€ as I've said earlier, had a 300€ withdraw in late March as well
Here's the bankroll
Rules
- Will always shot take whenever I've 30Bis for the next stake (final goal being 25nl. Will polish my game till I beat for a good deal, 5bb?)
- 5Bis stop loss on shots taken (will always regrind whenever I take a shot and lose 5Bis)
- 5h/w study at the very least
- Keep a schedule (making a detailed one below)
- 30m/session of reviewing previous sessions (always before a session, will work as a warm-up)
- 20h/w of just grinding (adjusted the session timeout to 5 minutes so it doesn't include any break time in the active session)
- Post regularly on discord (got a good group that I can discuss hands/theory with and I'm not as active as I should be for my own good)
- Update thread weekly with results and on time (every Monday you should expect an update regarding results, might post some hands in between that I'm not too sure of or just some funny ones)
Schedule
This is something I struggle a lot with, I always find myself falling on a graveyard shift sleeping schedule. Here's what I've in mind
Wake up between 10-11. Shower/Breakfast and then study until lunch which usually happens at 13h. Review as a warm-up and start the grind.Have regular breaks which I'm not too sure how they're going to work, thing with Zoom is that I can just sit out whenever I feel like. Never exactly played just regular tables so I'll see how they work, for sure they remove me from the table if I get inactive for too long. Try and not spend countless hours watching Netflix/Twitch (Poker channels not included).
The last one might the hardest, I'm used to watch a lot of those before I got to bed, gonna try and watch a poker video instead before I go to sleep. Not saying I'm dumping them both but will for sure reduce the hours wasted there.
Also have work, I normally have afternoon/night shifts, it's just 4 hours but obviously got to adapt the grind around it. Think I'm always 19-23h next week so that works good to have before and after work grinding.
------------------
Not doing much stuff poker related till Monday, got a wedding tomorrow and some stuff planned for Sunday. Should grind later today after work and on Sunday evening.
Results since the beginning of April, bye 10z
Think that it's all, got everything explained and detailed. Feeling super motivated so it was a good thing that I've decided to do this.
P.S.: Is there a chance I can change the thread title? Mods?
