Diamond Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

Self explanatory, let's go!

Hopefully get a few subs and we can discuss some painstakingly manually constructed hand histories, because...
Unibets, no HUDs, no hand histories, no graphs, no stats

Bankroll end of today = €1174

notable hand:

€50NL

Vs unknown, hero in the small blind vs big blind

SB Hero (€51.78)
BB (€70.57)

MP (€52.83)
CO (€49.81)
BTN (€49.57)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 68
fold, fold, fold, hero raises to €1.50, BB calls €1.50

Flop: (€3) 74A (2 players)
hero bets €1, BB raises to €2.75, hero raises to €7, BB folds

A rare spot when I dont mind getting raised on the flop since villain is so full of air, and I have gutshot and back door draw if he calls my re raise.

lol.

GL OP, in regards to the HH you posted what is your general response to unknown villain's who raise into you in spots when you have range advantage etc. like this one i think bvsb 3! here is good but you just go by population reads mainly right assuming you have no HUD available or...?

Yeah no HUDs allowed on unibet, so it's population reads, specific reads based on observation etc.

In this spot villain *can* raise some nutted 2pair and sets, with plenty of backdoor draws to balance, there are no strong draws so every bluff becomes a give up which gives us more fold equity. In reality, the vast majority of the time people are going to call in position with Ax or better so their raising range becomes horribly skewed towards bluffs. Imo there is no need to raise this flop, which as you point out is better for my range given that I have a higher proportion of AA,AK-AJ, ie. Villain is condensed to probably AT at best maybe AJ. And I assume he has a 3bet bluff range which often includes A3/A7. There is more value in flat calling and bluffcatching a turn or value raising turn as board becomes 2 tone or straight draw comes, or floating with a back door and stabbing turn etc..
Consequently my re-raising range becomes bluff heavy given how often I bet this flop 1/3 pot and sense weakness, which makes our play exploitable. We will see how often NL50 players will make life difficult for me, I'm guessing not that often.

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

Only half hour session in so far today but want to keep up the posting, will aim for about an hour play later.

€50NL

Vs fish (shorty)

SB: €73.66
BB: €71.15
Hero (MP): €106.58
CO: €55.52
BTN: €34.55

Preflop: Hero is MP with AK
Hero raises to €1.50, fold, BTN calls €1.50, fold, BB calls €1

Flop: (€4.75) TQ4 (3 players)
check, hero bets €3.56, BTN calls €3.56, fold

Turn: (€11.87) 8 (2 players)

First up, flop bet size...? Could be a touch big, we are vs 2 players who both can have Qx reasonably often. Vs Tx we are in good shape with actual equity +turn fold equity, and vs many Qx we have 10 outs including 4 nut outs. So I like a bet but not too sure how big.

Get called by the shorty... turn improves J9, 89, 8T, Q8 so not a lot of hands, and we still have our 10 outs vs 1 pair hands. Again I prefer to bet and on the bigger side but not too sure of sizing here again. Probably 60-75% pot is ok, we want to pressure those Tx hands.

This time vs "somewhat reggish player" so not too specific a read.

SB: €39.80
BB: 67.79
UTG: €84.26
Hero (MP): €50
CO: €50
BTN: €139.62

Preflop: Hero is MP with KK
UTG raises to €1,hero raises to €4, CO calls €4, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls €3

Flop: (€12.75) 445 (3 players)
check, hero bets €4.50, CO calls €4.50, fold

Turn: (€21.75) 2 (2 players)

hard to predict a random cold calling range but I'm going to assume it is condensed - villain can't have any very strong hands or very weak hands.

QQ-77, A6s+, KJs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, AQo+

Here I have assumed no A2-A5s which might 3bet, but more suited connectors - which will have an impact later as if we get all in on the turn our equity is partly dependent on whether the Kh is clean.

Turn continuing range becomes

QQ-99, AhQh, AhJh, QhJh, AhTh, QhTh, JhTh, Ah9h, Th9h, Ah8h, 9h8h, Ah7h, 8h7h, Ah6h, AhKd, AhKc, AhQd, AhQs, AhQc

so

Equity Win Tie
MP3 67.69% 67.69% 0.00% { KhKs }
CO 32.31% 32.31% 0.00% { QQ-99, AhKh, AhQh, KhQh, AhJh, KhJh, QhJh, AhTh, QhTh, JhTh, Ah9h, Th9h, Ah8h, 9h8h, Ah7h, 8h7h, Ah6h, AhKd, AhKs, AhKc, AhQd, AhQs, AhQc }

But, villain can jam his nut draws which affects our EV.
So although we can value bet, I think checking is fine, and felt more natural to check in game so..

Preflop: Hero is MP with KK
UTG raises to €1,hero raises to €4, CO calls €4, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls €3

Flop: (€12.75) 445 (3 players)
check, hero bets €4.50, CO calls €4.50, fold

Turn: (€21.75) 2 (2 players)
hero checks, CO checks

River: (€21.75) Q
hero bets €10.87, CO raises to €41.50 and is all in, hero calls €30.63

?????

going to get at least half hour in now cos it's late, probably will just be grinding for next few days and just updating bankroll because this takes way too long with these manual hhs

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

Couple of hands

SB: €49.50
BB: €29.14
UTG: €49.25
MP: €53.60
CO: €116.43
Hero (BTN): €55.25

Preflop: Hero is BTN with A9
UTG raises to €1.50, fold, fold, hero calls €1.50, fold, fold

Flop: (€3.75) 73A (2 players)
UTG checks, hero checks

Turn: (€3.75) Q (2 players)
UTG bets €2.25, hero calls €2.25

River: (€8.25) 6 (2 players)
UTG bets €4.75, hero folds

Think this is basically fine. Might prefer slightly to fold turn just because bluffs generally bet the flop, he is not that likely to have a worse ace from UTG and betting what are now third pair hands isnt that common. He can of course bet Qx but again I expect them to bet flop.

A nice big pot:

SB: €52.69
Hero (BB): €69.04
MP: €59.97
CO: €89.38
BTN: €31.77

Preflop: Hero is BB with 78
MP raises to €1.50, fold, BTN calls €1.50, fold, hero calls €1

Flop: (€4.75) 654 (3 players)
hero bets €3.56, MP calls €3.56, BTN raises to €12, hero raises to €67.54 and is all in, MP calls €54.91 and is all in, BTN calls €18.27 and is all in

Turn: (€154.96) J

River: (€154.96) 5

MP has QK
BTN has 32

Great when they block each other

Bankroll €1310.37

Playing 1.5-2 hours per day, I think I can set a target of 2.5 hours play per day without any analysis and just grind out some volume, tables are pretty good right now. Some things to work on, notably bet sizings on various flops and boards. Will re-read some books during travel to work to make best use of time.

Yes, I am posting some of these in micro/small and most said to check fold the 8s9s2h with AxKs. I am finding I am making many more small bets of 1/4 - 1/3 pot where in the past I would have checked.

games are very good at nl50 so far, not played a lot though. Beat nl25, don't see a huge difference between them yet. Really like what unibet are doing.

Even with the ? How do you know exactly if it's +EV or not?

The narrower the ccing ranges as well as the more OOP we are the more we should be checking in this spot i agree

---

From my experience...

Turn is definitely a blunder, would x range maybe? on Q CU ccing range for 1 player behind is going to be stuff like TT-QQ/TP+ Nut FD+

He has so many nuts OTT i wouldn't mind a barrel if it was vs a really wide vpip or not...? honestly idk what the proper answer is in this spot either as MW pots are tricky unless someone has monkersolver lol.

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

^ Yeah I'm basically clueless here, like the idea of check-give up flop but betting isn't a disaster. Check turn would be good I think, this card improves many hands for villain but also gives us some very strong hands as well so we can check raise these, and a possible check shove with the nut draw? Also we have to check fold quite a bit if we are cbetting the flop this wide. With the KsA it's meh, check call I guess..?

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

got 2 hours play in, would rather post a few hands than play another half hour.

Hand 1: flop play..

SB: €74.71
BB: €50.64
UTG: €51.75
MP: €68.87
Hero (CO): €50
BTN: €51.89

Preflop: Hero is CO with T9
fold, fold, hero raises to €1.50, fold, fold, BB raises to €6.25, hero calls €4.25

Flop: (€12.75) 29K (2 players)
UTG checks, hero?

CO calling range vs a blind 3 bet is approx

QQ-77, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, AJo+, KQo

with AK/QQ being a mix but let's just flat these for this analysis

We have 121 combos on this flop -
value bets: AK (6), KQ (12), 99 (3) - 21 value combos
weak bluffs: TsJs, TcJc, ThJh (3), JQss, JQcc, JQhh, (3), QTss, QThh, QTcc (3) 78s (4), 88 (6), 77(6), TT (6), JJ (6) - 37 weak bluffs
strong bluffs: TJdd, QTdd, QJdd (3), AQdd, AJdd, ATdd (3), T9dd, 89dd - 8 strong bluffs
checks: KTs, KJs (6), QQ (6), 89ss, 89hh, 89cc, T9ss, T9cc, T9hh (6), AQ (12), AJ (12), AQss, AQcc, AQhh (3), AJss, AJhh, AJcc (3), AThh, ATss, AJcc (3) - 51 checks

So out of a range of 121 combos, I am checking back 51 and betting 66 (and 4 have gone missing somewhere) - I think this seems about right.
Of those 66 bets, 21 are very strong, 37 are weak bluffs but many of which have sdv even when called on the flop. Then we have some nut flush draws and flush+gutshot.
T9dd is a bet with very good equity. I can check the other 9x but these make good bets as well, I can reduce the bet size and bet some more hands.

Was going to post more hands but since that took 45 mins , thats it.

Bankroll €1518

Running pretty good, nice cooler with AK all in vs QQ pre and binked a K on the river, but we got to remember these spots lose to rake in the long run where villain will take it down the other half of the time.
main thing is I am now comfortably rolled for nl50 I dont need to worry about busto for now or moving down to nl25 so thats good.

running crazy hot, lots of good hands but cant be bothered to convert them, and unibet appears to have only kept hands played in the last hour of a 2 hour session.

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

sun-run through NL50 continues

bankrolls €2060

What I often do for a shot take is introduce 2 tables alongside 4, so this will be 2 NL100 and 4 NL50. different stacks/bet sizes is awkward and slightly tilting but for me this has been the most effective way of moving into the unknown, and this is very much the unknown. Have tried reducing tables to 2 or just going full on at the new limit and every time I have spazzed out. So hope that the mixed model will work when I get going on this tomorrow. NL100 pool might be tougher than this though, *should* be tougher.

Hands:
1. slight car crash due to lack of attention (took a break after), but actually not a total disaster... Preflop is a little loose, this is an adjustment to people just mucking easy in general. On the flop I think we want to bet this flop frequently and we have a gutshot. I actually wasnt paying full attention to the table and auto checked, but when he bets into me I prefer a check raise line to fold/call. Sizing is obv ridiculous

Hero (SB): €50.25
BB: €63.55
UTG: €53
MP: €58.55
CO: €85.16
BTN: €53.68

Preflop: Hero is SB with A6
UTG folds, MP raises to €1.25, fold, fold, hero raises to €4.25, fold, MP calls €3

Flop: (€9) 537 (2 players)
hero checks, MP bets €2.75, hero raises to €10

2. Borderline defend preflop. Feel flop we have to raise, size is questionable, I like a big raise but this could be too big.

SB: €51.54
BB: €66.63
MP: €17.28
CO: €32.62
Hero (BTN): €54.92

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 89
fold, fold, hero raises to €1, SB raises to €3.50, fold, hero calls €2.50

Flop: (€7.50) TJQ (2 players)
SB bets €3.50, hero raises to €13.50, SB ships with A3, hero calls, board runs good for hero

3. 3 handed OOP vs 2 regs facing a 4bet, feel we need a 5bet bluff range and this is a good hand I think.

SB: €56.56
Hero (BB): €49.75
UTG: €52.48

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4A
UTG raises to €1, fold, hero raises to €4.25, UTG raises to €10.50, hero raises to €49.75 and is all in

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

bankroll €1899

NL100 pretty tough, difficult when moving up to any new stake, confidence goes as well as getting used to the higher level of aggression. Tried mixing some NL100 and NL50 tables but didnt feel right so just opened up 6 NL 100 with a 3 buy in stop-loss. Didnt quite get that far as I just knew I wasnt coping with the games. There is money to be made there and should make more € than NL50 but I think like 30 buy ins or even more might be needed. Got put in loads of difficult spots, def need to pay more attention.

When gave up and opened up NL50 it was much easier, people just giving up loads of flops and not playing back.

NL100 hand:

SB: €95.50
BB: €104.43
Hero (BTN): €140.98

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 78
hero raises to €2, fold, BB calls €1

Flop: (€4.50) 855 (2 players)
BB checks, hero bets €2, BB raises to €6.25

This isnt a great spot to be in - while villain is frequently FOS, our hand is vulnerable to a lot/most of his bluffs. But a re-raise risks isolating our hand vs everything better in his range, even hands A8, 99, TT are legitimate stacking hands i think.

Anyway, back to NL50 but will wait till tomorrow when the dust settles and hopefully get some good running back (though tbf I have used up my run good for the whole year in 1 week so time for mind-numbing grind)

Re: Can I turn €1k into €10k in 2018?

bankroll €2194

NL50 hands

1. villain is a solid player, doesn't view me too spazzy so I think we will get a good amount of respect here. This turn isnt good for him, if we decide to bet flop this turn has to be bet and prep a 3 barrel. J river obv completes some 2 pair, but from these positions he should have a bunch more Qx and possibly get to river with 77-TT assuming no 3bet. A not hugely important but better to have it than not i think.

SB: €63.59
BB: €51
MP: €65.45
hero (CO): €50.75
BTN: €56.20

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8A
fold, hero raises to €1.50, fold, fold, BB calls €1

Flop: (€3.25) Q46 (2 players)
check, hero bets €1.25, BB calls €1.25

Turn: (€5.75) K (2 players)
check, hero bets €4, BB calls €4

River: (€13.75) J (2 players)
check, hero bets €11

2. This guy had previously called my 4bet with AJo, check called twice on QQxx and donk jammed brick river for 1/3 pot. Hence I am considering a look up on this river but bottled it in the end.
