Goal: Reach HSNL in 2018. Goal: Reach HSNL in 2018.

Hey. So I'm a Swede in my early 30s and I live in the tropics. My goal is to reach HSNL in 2018.

The last couple of years was kind of up and down with a lot of poor decision making and I got punished for it. I've learned quite a lot from my mistakes and feel much stronger now. I will try to avoid complaining and feeling entitled this year. If somehow fail on this challenge there's no one else to blame but myself.

I will stick to HU NL200-NL600 for now. Occasionally I will play NL100 too if action is very slow but will try to avoid this as much as possible...

Is this a smart longterm decision financially? Maybe, maybe not. From the position I'm in and the possibilities I have right now I would say most likely the best option to make some decent money and challenge myself.

I will see this as a step in my development progress. As a "rite of passage" if you want, well for this nerdy part of the modern world at least. Once I have gone through this challenge and achieved my goals in poker I'm allowed to move on to greater things in life.

My most acute weakness is my mental game and it will need a lot of work. Secondly, I need a more solid strategy against regs and work on a few specific spots where I'm very weak and make a lot of mistakes.

I would like to learn some mixed games too but not sure how much time I will have for it. It will be far down on my priority list for now.

Other than that I have a small entrepreneurial project, I will go to the gym 4 times a week. I will avoid stupid distractions and my social life will be put on hold for a while. And yeah, don't drink and play!
