Monday was pretty disappointing. Got one 3rd place for some profit though meeting inevitable setup. At least busted after most other small stacks had busted, so got bit over 300$ from that.

Revenge of the **** Whales

Just ridiculous how badly opponents played today. And result was worst possible, leaderboard got crushed because megawhales played badly and lost every damned flip. Couldn't win a single flip, and got hit by them really quickly.

And while recovered from that, lost AJ < 99 blindfight just before money for 100k+ pot so no cash from that 11r either.

Point bubble @ nano first megabig AK < JJ, then K8 < K2 for points and next AK < AT (just had 3bb / 4bb at 2 last hands and whales were eliminating very slowly so couldn't wait). Got rivered by any4-whale @ PLO KO high + simply had 0 chance to win any pre-flop flip.

2 hours -200€ 3 minpoints out of 6 (which equals worst possible day I guess). I need a drink now.

Back to the games tomorrow. Would've really wanted to participate Independence Day Student Party, but decided to cancel because I would have had to cut it short. Already regretting that choice, well at least first 3 days weren't worst possible due to the yesterday's 1st place which gave some money in addition to points (winning some low / nano for 2-figs instead would've been that worst possible).

Value-full Thursday gone bad

I was really thrilled to play Thursday session, not because of UOS but because I had half a dozen soft money-added tournament launching alongside. 5,5-27,5 buy-in tournaments with roughly 100% added money with soft and smallish fields -> profit.

Well, at best spot I had roughly 1k€ value of chips. After that, well you guess it. Lots of quads for opponents, setups and lost flips, all imprinted "Farseer loses". Just played a dozen tournament, all good value stuff + LB.















Leaderboard has roughly 0 chance in hell to win a flip.

Easy to say - couldn't make a decent score today either. But fought as well as I could, making 5 / 6 minpoint score. While it is not going to help me to win leaderboard unless I make some scores, it should be enough to keep me within striking distance.

Moneywise also got 2 mincashes from value tournaments (unfortunately both from 1st or 2nd/X -> Xth after 7 beats in total), and got this from freerolled (they have some flip freeolls where you win 1€ / 3€ tickets made it to 23€ ticket and won 12-player sit and go) so in the end got "McJob-profit".

Third max bad day. Only mincash from nano. Old story, just posting this hand instead. CO opened 2bb, sb called and I did too @ BB. Pushed instantly and opponents folded.



All 6 LBs got minpoints, so another "delay" or even "defensive victory" there. Just would hope something near decent run so I could take lead @ overall LB while securing some cash.

First major hit from Christmas Calendars. +231€ from risk-free casino bonus, so got this day back to winning side.

Also got 30€ + 20$ from Stars depo instantbonuses. Minimum amounts, but I'll take them.

Saturday was even worse. Worst day this week both moneywise (as 50r and 50 PKO was in program) with just one mincash and for leaderboard too with just 3 out of 6 reaching to minimum points. What's even worse, both high events got "null points" so crashed from 1st -> 4th in High LB. Other LBs at very bad shape overall.

Multiple these runs @ each tournament and you get the picture.



Action I bet pflop, bet flop, bet turn and checked river. But no help with remaining chips as lost every single flip @ high too.

Sunday is gonna be a big one. Already worrying for it... there's big buy-in UOS events and 4 very good-value sort of highroller (buy-ins just 25-50 though).

So, let's take this other way around! Expect for the worst and you'll never be a disappointed.

Only cash 25c rebuy which I just busted as megaüberwhale made a horrible call and by winning resulting A2 v JT (v J8) would've probably got a lot of points for leaderboard.

So yesterday pretty much shows up where things go wrong even if planning is magnificient.

Played tournaments:

Each of these got 30-40 runners, so in average over 100% added. Easy spot to score 4-figs from bigger ones and 500+€ from smaller? Sure, but not with these runs.

Only positive: Got points from each, but this being only cash / deeprun was this 25c which was only 70-30 flip I won is not even nearly enough to keep up my pace to win overall because week was so bad.



Pushed @ bubble 12bb, instacall from BB. Players in other tournaments were equally "good", but couldn't win this kind of flips in other tournaments.

Worst possible result still possible. Überwhales just can't lose any flips whatsoever.

Minpoints from 5 events, 0 cashes, 0 points from high 25 -> LB is nearly drawing dead / Sunday long shot.

Worst possible runs continue. Null points from high events, null flips won.

Also PartyPoker has good old server problems back. While twitch stream, other poker sites and even one of those tables was running I was forced to fold aces. Costly problems.



At the beginning of session had best run come down just before bubble @ huge CL pot when whale decided to take an awful call. No luck except just bad in NLO8 hyper PKO.

Got 2nd in 10€ freezeout and 5th place in 25r, but too late, too little. Catastrophe anticipated during last weekend is at least 70+% real. Got some cashes + missed high-buy-in so unlikely that in the end lost amount is that much, but instead of 1st place in overall that's something far worse.

I have got a plan about 1k -> 100k challenge, but due to the nature of that challenge I plan to do that on Finnish blog. However, I will update here later how badly UOS and "Christmas Calendar challenge" will far. Probably mildly positive moneywise, despite awful results.

Defensive victory, evaded bad result despite running super bad with this day2 score but wasn't enough to beat leaderboard. Pushed 16bb 44 @ button at last hand and Finnish friend woke up with 99.



2nd in overall, 2nd in high, 7th in low and 18th in nano. Top2 would have been enough to beat both higher leaderboards and 18k€ for tops would've been good enough to save this year for reasonable result (somewhat over +20k€ from poker now). +6k€ for 2 week "grind" + some profit like 500€ to 1000€ depending how sportsbook bonuses unfold from christmas calendar promos etc.

Terrible 2018, good December though. 2nd place @ 55 PKO hyper (over 2k for the win) and got 1k from there, Dec +7k from poker with roughly 60 hours of play and roughly +1,5k from sportsbook + casino bonuses.

Overall result about +22k poker +26k overall. Not good, but at least it is positive result and I played probably under 800 hours (starting with -6k week and going for catastrophic results until June isn't one which makes me grinding).

2019

Only objective: Master's Degree @ summer 2020.

Long-shot goals for next 18 months, not trying hard to reach them but they're reachable if run right:

- Weight 75 kg (92 kg now)
- 150k+ from games (not just poker, casino and sportsbook etc. count too).

I would think 15% odds to lose that much weight (and that's generous) and 10% odds to reach that amount of money as I am playing poker only when I feel good to... which has been anything between 400 and 900 hours per year in the past when I have done that with mostly no good scores resulting roughly +25k on average).

80% chance to finish up studies, critical thresholds being Master's Thesis, Bachelor Thesis (still haven't finished it) and somewhat critical internship (can do it rather easily though if I decide to take some voluntary stuff).

Well I hope I reach that 1% and do all those. Could force myself to do 2 of those with good rate, but then I would really have to use my leisure time and abandon 3rd task completely. I'll rather finish up my studies and have some fun, lose 8 kg and get +50k than end up having no fun, gaining 8 kg and get +150k or having no fun, lose money and 15 kg.

This blog probably silences up mostly, I will only visit 2+2 rarely on my main computer as there's mostly no rep presentation in 2019 + I don't like writing while using these forums on my phone. 1k -> 100k "jokey" challenge coming up at the Finnish forum though, it shouldn't be hard to maintain as I plan to keep my results on online excel instead of notepad for 2019.

Just to drop by and show how 1k -> 100k challenge have started. First week was great, won a leaderboard and made nice profit in casino games. Sportsbook has started laggy, small variance targets have gone well but all high risk - high profit bets have been a failure (vedonlyönti translater sportsbook).



Next month will see Kings of Tallinn-live tournament week + some PKO 215 / 320 events (gonna sell some shares) so there's gonna be lots of variance. Otherwise trying to concentrate on studies, one full week @ Tallinn means I really should concentrate 3 other weeks for student stuff.

hey I am wondering how can you plasy on unibet when there are no huds alowed? How can you play multiple tables without seeing players statistics on the table when u have to play a hand, if somebody has like 5/5 vpip or 50/50vpip you cant know :O, you dont 1 table or something?

It's nothing special really. I used to play without HUDs 2004-2012 so not a big thing.

Imo. HUDs aren't so important @ MTTs after all, you usually won't get enough hands from most opponents to get great read about them (cash games are probably much different as you get more hands with same opponents). I know some great players who don't use HUDs when they play MTTs even on sites which allow them.

However, personally I don't play over 6 tables so I can keep my concentration on tables better than people grinding 12+ tables.

Now down under that. 7 added tournaments, 0,5 hours and -300. Thursday and Sunday gonna big KO events, otherwise just quick added tourneys should I have time even for a short session.

Sportsbook big bets have been brutal. 230 bet down @ superbowl and this, Liverpool just seems to suck at winning when they should.

Soccer is for sure, American Football not so sure. But I am mostly hunting bonuses + promotions, not really a sportsfan. If you like got 10€ freebet it's hard to lose @ 99-100% RTP odds using some site for checking best odds. Was trying to arbitrate with that 230 bet, had some safebets but odds were outdated @ 2 sites.

Just doing it for learning sportsbook stuff and got some extra money out of it right now.

It's been dark days here. Not just poker / casino / sportsbook runs, but our local gambling monopoly Veikkaus just came forward with all guns blazing, demanding blocks for other gambling companies.

Veikkaus is led by former politicians of National Coalition Party which is usually considered right-wing party but who is led by left-leaning, weak-willed chairman and party is mostly in league with Social Democrats. We have elections in two months, and ruling Centre Party which I favor is going to take huge loss and we are facing another 4 years of catastrophical rule of another corrupted blue-red government which almost managed to made gambling blocks last time they were in power (2011-2015), but we were surprisingly saved by Christian Democrat Minister of Interior who refused to promote the goverment program for internet blocks.

It's likely that these blocks will happen in 2020 or 2021. So while they're mostly rotatable blocks, it's sure that such move will stop at least some online poker providers to provide their services to Finnish people, effectively forcing us poker players to leave the country if we wish to continue playing poker for life. Bwin-Party did block new accounts from Finland few years ago, and while they reversed that decision from Party's part there's lots of blocked iPoker skins we cannot play with.

Long time no see. Haven't been playing much, mainly just played Unibet Online Series (finished 3rd @ overall and 1st @ low leaderboard after tough fight) and just played TonyBet (very small site, very bad software, not really one that I would endorse to anyone) series, managed to get 2nd place @ main event and 4th place @ leaderboard and got +5k€ @ 15 days.

Managed to get through at all my University courses despite having 2 nasty food poisoning (from same source @ Tallinn) which required antibiotics. Pretty nice, but had to disband quite much leisure time and other activities including poker, so taking summer easy and enjoying lots of free time.

Slots + sportsbook have gone quite well as I haven't spent much time playing those. Overall year is up almost +17k€ despite no big scores (2,5k€ last night is by far best). Results before summer break which starts now are as follows:

Video is a part of a competition out of which 5 players get a live package. Played 2 satellites, and despite deep runs managed to fail to secure a package / seat. So this is kind of last chance for a ticket to London.

Summer has been quite awful, mainly due to health issues. Poker has been running super badly, although played only about ~10 full days on July due to those issues. Just losing day after another with no good scores at all.

Slots have been more kind, made +1,6k€ from super high variance +EV promo and this month is about +3,5k€ in total. 5-figs total this year so far.



Studies continue next week, concentrating on them but I am considering about participating 2 leaderboards later this year and maybe fire more MTTs during September due to one campaign which rewards from winning MTTs. We'll see, but priority #1 is studies now.

Consider about participating Battle of Malta though. Free week from studies happen to be around that time and Malta during October >>> Finland during October.
