My girlfriend never thought about leaving me and didn't care when we had only a few hundred dollars a month to live off.
I'm not saying this is a setup for success, but I don't think OP is doomed to fail per se.
Thanks for sharing, like to hear u went through something similar.

OP do you have any other skills other than poker were you could earn money online? Would be a sensible idea to exhaust all areas. Also look into basic maths tuition or IT skills for local Thais, assuming you wont call home for help and can teach these or other subjects. You could join my free webcams were people will pay you money to do stuff or start a blog like me, passively they will earn me appox $1,500-2k a year if done correctly.
Not saying any of these are for you, but its good to have more than one door open. Put an add on craigslist to teach the Belgium language etc.
Good tip, it is something i could look into later, right now i just need to do what im sure i can make money from right now as i need it next week.

She'll say she's ok with it, but deep down she will not like it at all and it could cause for some problems down the road. Of course, you shouldn't have bought her these lavish gifts to begin with, but once you do don't make a second mistake by selling them.
I took a chance OP. When I was 19, I was in college and, for all intensive purposes, living on my own. I was attending the largest university in my nation in their honors program. I had it. I took a chance because I thought I was smarter than everyone. I ignored life and went with my dream of playing poker professionally by starting off at 10nl. It was fun back then, parties and drinking and girls and freedom.
Fast forward 6 months later, I was completely busto. I couldn't afford a cell phone, I had to move back home, I was kicked out of the university because I neglected my classes, and I didn't have any girls. I was young and dumb and finally went to my mom (and grandmother) for help. 3 years later, here I am with my first college degree working on a second, a steady girl, life savings that are greater than any monetary amount I had previous had in 20 years, and a position in my company that is highest I can achieve without being in management.
The moral of this story is to just take your chance. Go ahead, take it and run with it. Just don't be stupid about it and keep all options open. And if you fail, go back home. And for the love of god do not sell anything you bought this girl...just don't buy her any more gifts until you can comfortably afford it.
Great read and thanks for sharing this, yes selling stuff i bought her before and now selling is a bad idea. But if it's really necessary, we both ok about it. I hope i not have to sell things, but it's another option and an extra way to help us.

No, she gives all her money that she makes from work to me, i can confirm that as i see her bank and the bills she got from her boss. We live together, not separately.

Too much for sure in the first months i was here. Last time i bought clothes was beginning of august for our new dog, we bought it 2nd hand and paid like $10 for 4 clothes. Never bought anything else since then, only dog food for less than $10 a week and pay for their vaccins.

But thats joking, seriously though think alone to yourself for a moment. You sent money to someone with lap dogs.
Ok now that our heads are a bit more clear...
OP you just need more money, can't begrudge your feelings I know how it is to be in TL with a girl and on your motorbike you feel free-er than ever. But get home bust your tail at a job and at least come back with 6k, I think thats your starting point of "being serious about this". Many of my friends with kids in other countries do a 6 on 6 off type of thing. Is she going to leave you? I mean if she does, even better (sorry)...
We barely have to spend money for taking caring our 2dogs, food and vaccins( finished this month, 1 vaccin is like $5-$10)
Im at 420 games today, running terrible but still show a profit. Will put in another 100 or more and call it a day.
And i would like to thank all the people who helped me out so far. These are the donations i got so far + $217 i got in paypal from cbayly12. For a grand total of $307. Couldn't be more happy about that.
These donations will help me out a lot paying for new visa in Laos, travel cost, rent, food, gas, motorbike payment, internet, phone, things for wash and that kind of things that are needed. I still have a lot of grinding to do for building a liferoll that covers like 2-3 months of my living expenses.
I believe i can do it. Hope to be able to move up soon. But have to withdraw like 100-150 tomorrow from my poker roll as i need to go Laos and money arrive in 3-4working days. So im probably still stuck at $1.5 hypers for some time. Hope to catch up my EV in the next days.
Special thank to alex too for willing to help on my game which is the best gift i could imagine.
Thank u all and i hope to ever do something in return.
Pics of room as requested itt (sorry the room is super super messy, but me and my gf dont' have much time for clean now and it has never been so messy before as now, me or my gf normally clean every 2 days.);
My working station
Gf sleeping...
Reason bed sheet is on the floor is coz our dog pissed on it last night and need to be washed in the morning.(washing machine 20baht)
Bad habit this dog, normally he never pisses on the bed, but when we not take him outside for 1-2 days, he will act bad.
Place for put our clothes for dry and keep some stuff.
Total cost of this place for those who are interested in living cheap in thailand;
3000 baht/month 6baht unit for electricity and 200baht water(overprized)
Bill is around the 4000baht/month ($130)
We have cable for tv, but no money for buy a tv. Aircon is new and very good. Have hot water too.
I use true move 3G for grinding and have my apartment wifi as a back up.
Wifi here is kind of unstable and laggy at times. My 3g is reliable, but had some disconnects past days which is unusual.
Btw i try the use my bicycle as much as i can for saving on gas. I bought the cheapest bicycle i could find 1 month ago for 900baht.
My favourite food here is banana fried and is just around the corner. She always gives much more than other places and is by far the most delicious place. I buy it every morning for 20 or 30 baht($0.75) and this is my food for the first 6hours. In the evening we go to market and cook some food at her work place as them have gas and everything for cook.
I drink street water at 1baht for 1.5liters and fill my bottles every 2-3 days. Today i bought coke as i felt pretty tired all day. Confirmed BALLER.
We not buy any clothes for like 2monthes, last time we bought clothes it was for my gf, 2nd hand clothes for 50-200baht a piece and this was only 1 time.
I never bought anything for myself that is not needed. In the 6months that im here, i bought 10 new clothes for 2000baht in 1 day and bought a fake watch in Myanmar. This is for real lol, im kind of person who really not buy stuff for myself if not needed. Even in the first monthes that i was spending so much, i just never bought anything for myself that i did not need. Im more than fine with that as all i really want is to be with her in chiang mai and play poker.
