About me: 22 Year old 2nd Year University student in England who studies Business and Management. Introduced to poker 3 years ago, immediately started playing live £30 tournaments and went busto because I was awful lolzzz! Pretty much whenever I have had savings I would bust it playing tournaments or cash game or degen stuff!
I have always thought that I was better than other people, because they would explain scenarios and I would listen and think lol omg he is awful, but then why has he got a bankroll and I haven’t? I understand the fact that people have jobs that allows them to have a roll but I see people winning in poker and they are not even all that great. This was my mentality until a few days ago when I realised that I wasn’t that great at poker and not my peers. This is a big reality check for me.
Ambitions: Be a sicko
.. Buy my Parents a house
Have a big enough roll that I can do Sunday sweat sessions and bink tourneys! ( obvs after practicing them)
Have a good poker group that have similar goals.
WSOP!!!
Reality: I’m awful
I’m broke
Start from the bottom and go from there
Game type: Cash games due to them being harder to beat then tourney’s which is the general theory. If I manage to beat cash games then I believe this will teach me to be a way better postflop player and then I can just learn preflop scenarios later on if I want to play tourneys.
Also I can squeeze in sessions and quit if I have to leave for somewhere as I am quite busy right now.. Plan to be free in a couple of weeks where the challenge should get interesting.
Bankroll: $80
Cash games 1c/2c 6max normal
Unsure about zoom as of yet but might try it
Play time: Play whenever free, no minimum time set due to this demotivating me, Plan to grind LOADS after 2 weeks but will still play here and there to get out of 1c 2c.
BR management: have a shot at 1 stake higher if I reach 4 buyins in profit for that stake
If I
bust my bankroll take a break and re-deposit
STAY AWAY FROM HU HYPERSSSSSSSSSS! Also
STICK to the plan!
Wish me luck. Vamos!
