Hey guys,

I'm a 22 year old Englishman, recently graduated in engineering from university and just recently returned from travelling in Asia. I'm broke.

I've been playing poker online since I was 18 with a decent amount of success in tournaments, profiting around $2k in microstakes tournaments.

At the end of uni, I transferred my roll out of poker and used it to travel for around 4 months in 2018. I'm back and I'm changing my plan: get a job and play cash games in 2019.

Ideally I'll play around 10 hours a week, moving up from 2nl to 50nl by the end of the year, exercising a 30BI/3BI management method. I'm going for jobs in fintech and I hope to save £10k liferoll by Dec. 31 2019.

I'll keep this updated with graphs, job news, pics, whatever works.

Thanks & gl

First 5k hands or so:

Not a bad start overall, bb/100 is pretty damn high

Been a slow week+, had an interview on friday for a tech firm, waiting to hear back. Played a couple thousand more hands, still a teeny tiny sample.

2nl (unsurprisingly) is fine, looking forward to 5nl

10k hands, +20BI

Sample size is teeny tiny but I'm moving up to 5nl
I have 20BIs for the stake, 3BI shot
Don't imagine the competition will be much different but should be fun

Positive life update: Just got a job! Going to be working in the city in fintech which I'm v happy about, getting paid £34k pa + bonus!! Couldn't be happier with it and can't wait to get started. Poker will continue to be a side project with the hope of reaching 50nl by end of 2019.

Currently in 5nl. Long way to go!

Been a while, haven't played a huge amount. Still in 5nl, doing ok, been breakeven for a few k hands

Breakdown so far:

Wanna get to 20k hands before my new job starts in a couple of weeks, should be pretty easy, just over a thousand hands a day

Rough couple of sessions, don't think I made any massive mistakes, few hands below for line checks n that. Gonna play some 2nl to build up to 5nl again

Can't seem to get the converter working lol

Don't like my call pf after the 3b, think it's too thin despite pot equity given position. Flop/turn sizing from villain was so small didn't indicate strong equity, expected to see some 9x, 7x and T8 that we beat, sometimes smaller fd's, losing to badly sized value hands like 2p+, sets, 68?

sorry about the block of text lol, thx for powering through xx

Back after a small hiatus!

In non-poker news, I started my job in fintech, enjoying it all and settled in. I'm going to pick up poker again as a side gig with the hope of making a few k a year on top of the job.

Playing 2nl, riveting:

Currently at 16bb/100

Plan is moderately aggressive as it's a side income stream, hence higher risk appetite:

20 BIs req. for each stake
2 BI shot each time the minimum is hit
Move up quickly to 50nl
BIs req. increase past 50

$1k - 50nl is the first target
