Ok, so first of all, Happy new year everyone !

For those who knows me, cool, i'm glad, and I don't need to tell you who I am.
For those who don't, well, follow this thread.

Let me update you on the situation.

I'm 23 and got a 40h a week well paid ( Yes i'm only broke poker wise ), satisfying, cool job. So poker is now just a passion for me.

I play live from time to time, mostly £1/£2 £1/£3 and a few live MTT up to 300£ so will hopefully put some chip porn pics as well from time to time.

BUT ! Want to start something online just because going play live is taking me an insane amount of time !

So, i'll start with 40$ ( will refill obv if needed ), start with zoom NL2, have a standard 25BI BRM and go from there.

I can already hear, why do you want to play NL2 online when you play 1/2 1/3 live ? ... Because I do whatever the F**** I want, and if I want to play that way I will, and if I want to shove a cucumber... You get the point

Also ! I will update that thread whenever I want, wherever I want, with whatever content I want.
Meaning that if I don't update this thing after a week, because I was either to hangover, or still drunk, or at work, or playing live, or because my hand was hurting after I slapped to many peachy asses for too long thats my choice !

If you don't like it, I don't care, create your own thread.
If you think I won't last a week, I don't care, and I might not.
If you don't like me, I don't care, I like myself enough to cover for you.
If you think i'm stupid, I don't care, I know I can be.
If you want to see threadsavers, I don't care, don't want to waste time with them, go watch porn you muppet.
If you're a hot girl, I do care, PM me and we will chat, but when i'll be a NL500z grinder, it'll be too late for you so hurry up.

Anyway ... Will try to do my best to please myself with this thread, so could/should/will be fun.

Did my first session right now.

Thats the result.

I guess I don't have to give you the yearly 2017 graph ... I'll let you figure out why

2nd session in the book ...

Im slightly tired, I didn't played well, and didn't run great either, so no surprise for the results

Might do a session later on, will see.

What's up people ?!

Finished my 3rd session on a really good note, happy with the way I played.

It's been actually a really good session, unfortunately I got to be awake in 4 hours to go back to my IRL job so can't play more ...

So ! All good so far, the only thing i'm unhappy with is my WR, i'm cruising at 10.8bb/100, but only 6.8EVbb/100, although the sample is ridiculously small ( 9k hands ... ) so it's all good, will go up soon eventually.

Here are a few funny hands that happened today !

I think this first one is pretty std, although river was quite disturbing considering the action, QQ/KK would have 3b pre ... But he could easily have QJ/KJ here and does rep them ... And since i'm blocking any Txs I was slightly worried but can't fold regardless ...

Poker isn't dead ...

https://www.boomplayer.com/22140607_36A395929D

Like seriously not dead !!

https://www.boomplayer.com/22140629_A19417A131

Sometimes, you got to take the risk not to get any value in order to get the most of it

https://www.boomplayer.com/22140755_C21F0D9055

Anyway ! Now, today's graph ...

And that's it for today ... Work is gonna be hard but at least I had a good grind after yesterday's bad sesh !

Did a last quick session before the end of the day ...

Was a bit pointless but took couple more buy ins.

I'm not happy at all with the EVbb/100 overall, but still way too early to worry about that, sample is still way too small and probably won't reach a sample high enough at NL2 to actually have an idea of it

Also, find a couple of worrying leaks that I defy have to fix ... Same, not worrying for NL2 stakes, but will be from NL25.

So this is the overall graph since beginning of the challenge

Nothing special, need another 30BI at NL2 to step up to NL5. Should be done within the next week or so hopefully.

Now time to sleep for like 8 hours, and then do a 3/4 hours session before going back to work AGAIN !!!

Hard work will pay off.

Small session, started amazingly well, until the end of it where it went all F***ed up so decided to stop and get ready to go to work early instead of keep grinding..
Probably a good decision

A few fun hands.

It all started sooooo well ...

https://www.boomplayer.com/22154901_7C6C9F0C02

Is there anyone folding in that spot at NL2 ? Guy is just your average NL2 player, something like 22/16/7 so slightly too loose

https://www.boomplayer.com/22154985_7239BECF1D

And then, it was the beginning of troubles, the hand that started it all ...

https://www.boomplayer.com/22155285_2BE4D50939

So now here is the graph, considering it wasn't a great great session, i'm still ok with the results even if it's really close to nothing.

Anyway, tomorrow is my last day at work, so from 8pm i'll be off and will try to put insane amount of hours during my days off so I can hopefully start shooting NL5 from sunday ...

( But since i'm off friday/saturday, it's gonna be hard to say no to party so will see if i'll keep my new years resolution straight ... )

Let's do a recap of the worst last 2 days of my year ( including 2016 ) ...

went for a "drink after work" on Wednesday ... Ended up at the casino and lost 3000£ playing all those stupid Blackjack/Roulette/Three Card games ... Biggest loss ever and was winning over 1700£ at one point ...

Was feeling so depressed afterwards, started hating myself and feeling just really really bad ... Unfortunately, no happy ending to it like ... " Had 50£ left and made it all back" ... Or "Hit a Spin and go for 10k$ and won it"

I'm a casino dealer, and so I work in that business, I know how it works.

And I can hear you saying, 'WHY ?! You know the tricks right ? You should be winning !" or "Why do you even play ? You know you gonna be loosing ... "

There are no "tricks", just all luck, and mine ran out at some point and couldn't find the exit until I gave it all back ...

Now what ? ... Well now I will self exclude myself from every casino in UK, i'm not a gambling addict, but got a problem as as soon as I step into a casino after few drinks, I can't control myself no more.

So what does that mean ? Well ... I won't be playing live poker this year ... Only online.

Talking about online ... Had my worst day today, dropping 13BI ...

Couldn't do anything and get an insane cucumber shoved in me.

The last 7BI I lost where just a joke ... Can't do anything about it.

Now i'll have to put myself back together ! Mentally, physically and financially ...

Anyway !

Here are a few hands ...

Could argue about the call 3bet pf, but being an LAG, I decided to go ahead and call knowing that I will stack him off if I hit the board ...

https://www.boomplayer.com/22192626_90EC9083E6

Ok, on this one don't know if the line is ok, but don't ever see myself behind on that one on the river ...

https://www.boomplayer.com/22192609_07943979AF

Yes ... Sure ... 43s top vs 3bet BU ... Why not !

https://www.boomplayer.com/22192553_02EFA5DFFE

Not sure what am I supposed to do river ... Can't see myself just flatting here ...

https://www.boomplayer.com/22189656_CB665D3C15

Gonna take a break now fro couple of hours, watch a movie and then will go back to the grind !

Today's graph ... Because loosing session are part of the game, and so are breakdowns, no point hiding any of it. Only gives you more motivation to leave that situation.

Hand 1 - KJcc, fold pre vs an unknown HJ vs CO.
Hands like these (ATs, KJs, even KQs) are very difficult to play against an unknown, who will all have AK, KK and AA in their range. How happy are you if you flop a K and he fires all 3 streets? Even if you play a hand like a flush draw aggressively, how confidently are you going to get a fold?

If you must call wide, I'd rather have a hand like 87s which has less domination issues and will hit more disguised value hands on the flop and turn. (I would still however fold the 87s 100BB deep).

I think its worth remembering that money in poker does not come from taking every single spot, and preflop tight is often right in liue of reads which seldom come from Zoom.

I think this is a leak, because of how costly 3bet pots can be. Good news its pretty easy to fix, call less wide OOP!

As played, given the fact you have 2psb left I might just check-jam this which gets in the money really nicely here. I don't expect him to check back AA-QQ on the turn and doubt I'm getting paid vs a hand like A9s if he has it.

Hand 2 - 77 hand.

Flop

I think your sizing is too big here. You don't need to bet much more than half pot (even less works too) to get him to fold a hand like T9(no h); this is a significant accomplishment given that he will have 30% equity against your holding.

Its helpful to regurgitate the 2 (real) reasons for betting.

a) To make the pot bigger in case we win. If we had the nut flush say, clearly this is the main reason for betting. With 77 however on QQ3, its unlikely we're getting 3 streets of value so this is less of a reason.

b) To deny equity. If we have the nut flush say on K74cc, then denying equity is much less of a reason; although note hands like sets and 2pair still have equity to draw out on us with boats etc! However with 77 clearly this is the biggest reason to bet.

Turn I might even bet very small against an unknown say 25% of the pot just to get him to "draw" with A high incorrectly and a tiny bit of protection if he's floatging a hand like JhTx.

River Ignoring the shove for the moment, I would probably just call. We only need to win about 30% of the time and I think there are enough flush draws and weird back door stuff to make this a call.

I don't like the shove; whenever you attempt plays like these you absolutely must try and understand what kind of holdings your opponent might have. Here you're risking £2 to win $0.50. You must win this pot roughly 80% of the time to make this a profitable shove. I doubt the BB has Qx in his betting range less than 20% of the time. Note that spots like these won't help your mental game when you're putting in a long 1-2k session. Even if this shove were slightly profitable (I don't) I wouldn't take it. If you're right you'll feel fairly smug, and if you lose you'll feel like an idiot. Trust me I know from experience!

Hand 3 - AA hand.

Preflop I would 3bet bigger being a little deeper but 3x is ok too.

Flop is an easy raise I think given the typical 3bet cold-call range. If he has a hand like QQ or JJ that he folds then unlucky, but I doubt he's putting too much more money in the pot on later street. We want to get value from Kx and flush draws, so it makes sense to put more money in the pot now.

If we make it say 75 the pot will be 190 on the turn and we will have 170 left which sets up a turn nicely. Planning future streets of betting and practicing pot geometry is a very useful tool which will come in handy in the future especially playing deep-stacked.

As played unlucky :/

Hand 4 - 98ss OTB.
Flop I would bet small, we have a BDSD and maybe a couple of cards that can give us a pair vs K high etc to get him to fold a hand like JTs or something.

Turn I would definitely call with the implied odds, although you must recognise when these are somewhat tainted (e.g., NFD on a paired boatd).

River As played on the river its (fairly) close but I think its a fold vs the 3psb. I would call maybe 1.25x psb because of random microstakes spazz. A randomer can have all TT, AT, 77, 66, A7s, A6s etc. We need roughly 45% equity to call. I don't think randomers play Ax this way enough of the time to make this a call. Beware of players shovelling money into the pot where we're deemed to be inelastic, say on flopped trips board or where we can have a lot of 2-pair.

Now, Loosing 3k£ did hurt, but it's not the end of the world, I can afford it but it never feels good to loose like a ******, and you got to learn from your mistake.

So, took a decision to give up on cash game online ...
It's just not my thing, I can't do it ... Boring.

So ! I'm back into MTT's/MTSNG's, unfortunately my working hours are not good and don't really allow me to play fully MTT's, but never mind, will work it out !

Will do 3/4 nights of studying for 3 nights of grinding ( basically my days off )

So far, too good for the beginning of the year, can't complain time to grind more and more

Otherwise !!!!

LIVE ANNOUNCEMENT : I'm going to Rozvadov in March for the Pokerstars Festival, will be playing a lot of tourneys ( anything up to 550€ plus few sats for the ME and the HR ... )
And will be playing some 1€/3€ too.

IF ANYONE IS AROUND AT THAT TIME AND WANT TO MEET UP !!!! LET ME KNOW
Could do a trip to Prague as well as a break day.

What's up people !
Last time I left you was a long time ago ...

I was really busy since then and still am !
Moving to a new place in London at the end of the month,
Starting an online stored business too,
Working my IR job,
And socialising/travelling !

And with all that not much time for grinding anymore, but since I wasn't showing great results I had a lot of training, self coaching to do !

And so i'm back playing NL5 ... This time will be the time !

So this is today's session ... Can't complain ! Working hard on the game paid off, for today at least

And that's the overall graph since I got back on the table ... I guess you can see when the hard work paid off ...
Today's the first day back after my intense study so got a lot of redline to catch up !

BREAKING NEWS !!! 20 BI Session done !!!

Didn't want to leave until reached 20BI+ session, and it's done.

I feel so comfortable and confident on the table now it's insane ! Playing insanely aggro seems to be the way ...

Anyway ... Will see how it goes within the next few days, hope fully will keep it up and catch up that Red line asap ...

So the final graph for today is here !

Haven't had time to grind since the last post ...

Just came back from a 16 hours shift at work so don't have much time for grind but managed to squeeze in a quick one hour session right now before a well deserved sleep !

SO, what's to say about the grind ?
Well, lets say my stats would scare and shock most of the people here

I finally back to enjoying playing cash game, and poker in general.

At the end of the day, poker is a game and you should enjoy playing it and put in the effort and the grind ... But I wasn't.

Now I play the way I like and the way I want ... Showing great results so far !

Anyway !

This is the graph for todays session ( 8 tabling zoom 6max NL2/NL5 ) :

And this is my overall graph since beginning of the year ( I know, I did gave up online CG for a while, reason why don't have many hands ... But i'm sure you can see the time when I came back on the tables )

I'll keep you posted about the progress obviously !

Thanks for the support ( none so far ... )

See you at the tables

Guess who's back !

Now ... I know usually people do PG&C thread when they win/run good ...

This is why I wanted to start it again after my worst session ever ( yesterday ), but was too tired to do anything so went to sleep instead, and so i'm starting again now, after closing just now my best session of the month so far !

Let's do a recap since I last left you !

I had a really tough 2017 but feel much better now, haven't gamble for over a year even when going on poker trip ( Prague, Malta, France ) so that's good !

I played on and off for a while until last month until I start feeling comfortable with my progress and thought i'd be a good time to get back into properly !

So started with 100$ at NL5 and now playing NL16... And here is the graph ( since 20 May )

I'm pretty happy with the results considering the downswing yesterday, because this is usually when I would have spank the rest of the roll on MTT's and higher stakes tilting and swearing at the screen not even a year ago and now I just learned to deal with it and did a lot of progress on my mental game !

So this is yesterday's graph, the first 10 BI loss was in the morning and decided to just stop and sleep if off and give it another go later on that day, and that was a good idea !

And now this is todays graph, it's like day and night !

Now, i've done a lot of studying, focusing on improving my game, and done a lot of work on myself !

Anyway, i'll try to post and update as much as I can, maybe once a day, maybe once a week, don't want to put pressure on me, so will see !

And so before I leave you, here are a few hands that I played today and yesterday

Please save up money from work for a decent bank roll and play NL50 or smt, youve played enough hands now for experience.

I don't need to save up money, I could roll myself for NL50, but where is the fun in that when you can just grind the limits instead ?

And to be honest, I don't think I got the level for NL50 yet ...

I'm not MAINLY here for the money, I just love the game and love playing it, I don't want to rush into things, because I don't have to

What's up guys ?

Was away for a few days so didn't grind much.

Just played a session before leaving and lost around 2 BI wish, nothing exciting to report.

So today was my first session back from holidays and it was alright even tho didn't ran well.

Had a few dirty hands but nothing I could do about ...

Here is my graph since I started playing properly again !

I feel really good at NL16 and will take some NL25 shots at 600$.

Here are some hands from today session.

1- Pretty std I guess but quite happy to see that hand showdown ... Thought we would chop

Just finished a session after work.

Was really swingy, lost 5 BI in no time ( last few $$ was probably more spazz/spew than bad run )

So went for a cigarette and came back to get my revenge !

Time to go to bed now, will post something better tomorrow maybe, if I feel like it !

played a couple of MTT's too.
