Hi everybody,
Am a 32 year old family guy.from India..i was a very successful sportsman making over 100,000 $ a year and due to an injury am not able to play that game professionally anymore.

I had been playing poker for over six years now and I am a big losing player. I have lost over 200K PLAYING poker the way it's not meant to be played.. And no wonders I have gone broke.. I used to reg 10/20 games and lost it all..

And I have a wife and mom who lives with me and every month I have to make 1500 dollars for bills mortgages and basic requirements...

Thankfully I have a day job that pays around 600$ a month.. And I had squeezed out the last 3000$ from savings as a poker bankroll..

The games that I am primarily going to be playing is 1/1 and sometimes 1/2..

Although a losing player, I have some basic understanding of the game and I am further gonna hire the services of a live cash coach I found from this site...

So after the coaching fees, which I see as an investment I have a bankroll of 2000$..

I take great inspiration from @dgiharris and I am gonna follow everyone of his posts to help me improve as a player..

I am gonna commitmyself to making a life out of grinding these stakes and become a 2/5 regular before this year end..

I will constantly post results here and hands at at Llsnl thread and am ready to learn and get better..

I have nothing but a limited bankroll and undying passion for this game.. Also am sure the 2+2 community will guide me through this gruelling challenge..

Wish me luck and please help/guide me...

Gonna start my first session in an hour after starting this thread..1/1 game min buy in 50 and usually the table starts with 50.. I had bought in deeper earlier but I am gonna stick with 50 and play solid ABC as I have a bad image of a loose bluffy player and people call me light.. Am jus going to nit it up till the time I understand the game better and till the time I take a few hours of coaching to plug my leaks..Wish me luck

Jus finished a session.. Went very well..played for three hours and won 200$ bought in for 50...

A couple of hands...

Villain 1.. He is by far the best player on this group.. He regs the 2/4 game that happens twice week and is a tough player.. Sometimes when he plays 1/1 he spews a lot... He was in utg and was on a call when cards were dealt.. He wanted to straddle and the other guys objected.. That pissed him and he says all in blind for 50$...folds to me and I see 3c 3s.. Against a blind shove I thought it's a call and the hand help up...

The second hand went like this...
Villain in this hand is a semi competent Passive ABC..

Villain(60$) limps Utg for 1.. I got dealt JdQd on cut off and I make it 6$...button calls, SB calls, Villain calls

Flop(25) 9d 10d 4s

SB checks and Villain shoves his stack.. Now I have seen him do this a lot with top pair hands..can't really put him on sets or two pairs cause he loves xr them.. And with such a strong equity it was easy call for me as I was basically flipping against his entire range..i hit my J on the river and my jack pair was good..

The table plays two hands on PLO back to.back rolling button..

The villains in this hand is the good aggro Villain who blind shoved and the villain2(100$) is a young player who is decent but kinda spewy on certain spots..before I go into the hand, this group except for the guy from the first hand plays plo very badly.. They see it like a bingo to get their 50bb in and gamble out.. So I always prefer small ball preflop even with good hands cause they make very big mistakes postflop and are terribad.. Also it's always multiway preflop so I kinda opt to be passive pre..

I got.dealt AdJdAs10s on the big l blind..

Villain 2 at utg limps button limps.. Villain 1 in SB pots it to 6 dollars.. I thought of raising him but I saw Villain two holding big chips to raise.so I decided to flat and squeeze and as expected he makes it 15... SB calls and I squeezed it to 60 and Villain 2 shoves and SB folded and I called and my hand held..

Made the mistake of showing my hand when it's not actually my turn so I dint know what he had.. Made a mental note of not doing this again as it's very important for me to know his shoving range..

Anyways overall a good session ended up winning 200$

Going for another session elsewhere.. Will post results after the session.. Thanks to anyone who cared to read..cheers

I just can't see this being legit; in the case that it is here's some advice.

• you are a degen gambler trying to support yourself by gambling, in a casino, surrounded by other degens...see a potential problem?

• $3000 roll is a good starting point, however it's irrelevant if you can't beat the games.

• you state that you got a coach from this site. So chances are you committed a large portion of your roll to that and if you only committed to 1 hr that further shows your lack of awareness. Either way this is not good. (Did you do any research about this coach)

• your resourcefulness in being able to find a poker coach but not being able to find poker programs amazes me.

With that said, I wish you luck and suggest spending a lot of time researching on this site.

Hi sir, I agree that I was degen.. But not anymore and am looking to go thro this the proper way..
I researched about the coach and even spike to him regarding what am trying to achieve..i have taken a fifteen n hour package and I am gonna,be working long term with him..
I found poker journal to keep track of my session.

The problem is when some one like me, a losing player starts a PG thread it may seem like a troll.. But am not trolling nd am definitely serious about this.. Thanks a lot reading this thread and sharing your views sir.. Any opinion will definitely be taken well and I will work to improve upon any

Finished a session last night and played a two hour session today afternoon..

Last night played a 7 hr session for 200$ profit..this game was at another place and am gonna call this game B and the one I posted about yesterday will be game A.. Same stakes though.

Since the player pool is extremely small I encounter the same players almost in both these games but game B has some very new players in the game sometimes and it's a bit soft in my opinion.. The other competent players are complete nits. So on an average these tables will have one or two nits, a couple of weak passive ABC, and a mixture of donks and aggro gamblers who spew 4-5 buy ins..

I have a strict stop loss of three buy ins a session.. That is 150$ for a 50$ dollar buy in game split as 50$ first buy on for me and in case I go busto I will reload for 100$.. The strict guideline is my emotional status.. Even if I feel I may be tilting a little bit I have committed myself to leaving the game..

I sit down for my first buy in and ran it to 120 before I went busto on a typical suckout.. Since it was a bad beat and I have come to terms with it am not posting the exact hand

I was not tilting and I reloaded for 100 and ran it to around 130 before this hand happened..

Villain1( 120$) is a typical donk who jus spews chips.. A few hands earlier I opened 6c7c on hi jack, button calls and this villain squeezed and we both folded.. He tables J7o and gives a talk about how he thought we both were week..

Villain2(300) playing him first time.. Jus plain OMC..earlier I saw him iso 3! AA to about 20bbs and when.folded told he is always scared of suckouts

I got dealt QsQd on utg and opened to 8$, button calls Villain1 on SB shoves his stack.. Villain2 tank calls the shove.. I rarely think Villain 2 has me crushed.. So I called.. Both had AK and my hand held..

Had another decent hand which I may post in the strategy thread..

Overall felt good..

Down 200$ in two hours.. Bought in for 100 in the 1/1 game at B.. Suddenly they made this a 100$ buy in today as normally only on weekends it's the 100 dollar game..
I bought in for 100$ and had a stack of around 120 before this hand happened..

Villain is the guy from.yesterday's game who squeezed J7o and later flipped his AK against my queens.. Over to the hand

Hero gets Jhqh on the cutoff..raised to 8 dollars.. SB calls, Villain in the BB flats.

Flop(16) 9h 10h 2s

Villain leads 14
Here I range him strongly on Tx with x being not too strong but possibly t9.. And he plays lot of ego poker with me and I have 100% implied odds..so I thought of Flatting would be better..I flat and

Turn(44) Villain leads out 30.. Here I just shoved and I bricked the river.. Villain shows 10c4c and scoops the pot..

I reloaded for another 200 and I doubled up a ABC guys pre flop 4 bet shove..i had AK against 10s and he held..i had another 100$ stack with me but I felt I am not playing or thinking clearly so I jus stop loss and left..

Bankroll 2200$

Going to start a session 1/2 100 $ buy in. This is at game A..

A few things that I want to start implementing into my.game.right.away..
1. Completely stop bluffs without any clear plans or ranging of.villains.
2. Tighten my early position and oop starting hands.
3. Talk absolutely nothing relating to hands or poker theory.
4.never ever show my hole cards when not needed.

I had always had the poker player fallacy that I was a good player.. Well I am not and I am a player willing to do the right things to improve. Also I had thought my understanding of GTO is decent but after reading all the stickies and going thro HH posts at LLSNl I understood that my GTO understanding is at best half arsed.

Also I need to start really focus a lot on every hands and start deliberately profiling villains. It's a very small pool of players so with deliberate focus I should be able to do it soon.

I have bought the mental Game of poker by Jared tandler.. Am going to read that book and hope I understand and implement those concepts.

Also having a target of posting atleast a couple of interesting hands in this thread and atleast one hand on the HH strategy thread. I am also gonna be taking active part on other HH posts and contribute my thoughts till the thread is closed and I am convinced and am sure this will also help me improve better.

Since the time of me starting this thread am feeling really good. As am able to put my thoughts in words it has helped me tremendously.

Miles to go.. Prepared to work hard.. Gl at the tables everyone

Posting this as am in the middle of a session during a smoke break.. I realised I have a couple of massive leaks.. The first is my C bets multiway. Need to read up and have better understanding of villains ranges pertinent to flop texture and play accordingly.

The second leak which is by far my biggest I feel is, I get pretty sticky with medium strength hands. Jus spazzed of 10s for 80bb. Will be posting that hand in the strategy thread.

Am in for 300$ and currently have a stack of 170$ with me. Geindtime

Finished last night session about break even. I had 170 dollars at a time after buy ing in for 300 total. Been card deal for a while before I won a decent sized pot with set 9s against a ABC player. Ended the session feeling good for two reasons.

1. I am having a better emotional control than before. Although this is something that I really wanna keep working on.
2. I identified a couple of leaks in my get which I mentioned in my earlier post.

Today there is a game at game B. A 1/2 game with 200 $ buy in. Since I had a decent last three days am going to freeroll into this game today. Hoping for the best.

Good luck at the tables everyone

well... the reason for me starting this thread is to really commit myself to the process goals and improve as a player. cause i very strongly feel thats the only way to improve..

but however i sometimes make result oriented play.. i have identified a few leaks in my game which i would not have if i had not out my thought into words in this thread..

the only way for me to acheive my goals and targets is to constantly work on improving my game and plugging my leaks.,

so the target for todays session is purely gonna be plugging my leaks, not making the mistakes i did earlier and more effort/emphasis on profiling the player pool i play with..

this means i have to play the next few session as an uber nit.. thats when i will be able to accomplish the targets i have set for this week..this may affect my winrate but i personally feel this ex will be more profitable in the long run..

so i start this week with the following targets.
1. do the above mentioned..non negotiable.
2. if i could make a profit of 500$ am looking at taking a one buy in shot at the 2/4 game that happens here..

good luck everyone..keep crushing
