Hi to all 2+2 communities, I'm an italian 18years kid who is starting his career.
I feel really young and never in my life i dont have been taking all these risks
By thinking over and over for around 1 year on what my future shall be going. I decided to drop out the school and so i moved to prague about 1 months ago.
After a year of trying to explain to my family what i was going to do in the next years maybe i get some result.
Now my parents are helping me staying here by paying my rent for this year.
Pokerwise atm i'm playing nl10 struggling a bit with microstakes, i've got some coaches that follow me in everything so i feel lucky in this side and they feel that i can become a decent player.
I've been playing for 1 year atm and i say that it really challenge me, whenever i play, whenever i study also writing this post makes me super happy and super amused.
Also for this i've drop out all my life and moved in prague to just focus on the game.
Now my goal here in 2+2 is just posting some summary about how my grinding is going and also about my life.
Also i wanted to meet some peoples with more experience than me and
giving my 18 i would be superhappy to just read your tips that helped you when you was coming up in poker.
Thank you
Roberto

You'll have a long way to go if you're currently playing NL10 but we all start somewhere. My advice would be to find your top/long term goal in poker and work backwards step by step how you're going to achieve that. My own journey has been incredible so far, but I'm not nearly close to my long term goal yet. I wish you good luck.

Best of luck to you kid =)
Remember - It's all about WORK
Keep working, keep analyzing and learning from your mistakes
Laziness = Loss
Keep learning from your losses and stay positive.
I'd recommend finding a job as well to support your side hustle which is Poker.
You have a lot to learn in life and in 'inter-personal politics', the world is not as easy as in school!

Never underestimate yourself, you are capable if you put in the GRIND!

Good luck!

Be carefull with who you get coached by, if results arent coming --> change coach, get solid preflop ranges if you dont have them already., seems like the nonshowdown winnings suck. Your move to quit school and focuse on poker is brave indeed, hope it will work out.

60k hands/month is a bit much when your not making money yet, its gonna get tiring to play so much without results, so why not move down to nl5, play maybe 40k-50k hands and study more.

Gives good advice. Don't run before you can walk yet. Also, it's very easy to overestimate yourself especially in the beginning. Saying you're gonna do 60k hands and gym 4 times a week may sound good but doing it is completely different. Ease up, changing your lifestyle doesn't happen overnight but if you're committed then you'll eventually get to the position where you want to be.

Hi guys, really thank you for all for your advices and yes i'm a faker fan . These days i talked a lot with my coaches and decided that for 10k i would try playing 4x instead of 6x, just for seeing what changes can happen.
At 10k i will post some result but i'mm at 5k right now and i don't want to spoiler anything

This are the last 10k hands played tabling 4x instead of 6x

I can say that i'm running decently but this is the way i need to continue play.
I will continue study and discuss hands as always.
I've also several problem with my schedule and focusing on session...
Any suggestions?

Nothing like dropping out of school to play poker when you're struggling at 10NL

I'm just saying that I've seen what happens when people decide to go pro before they beat the game at a high enough limit.

You should probably look to play even less tables considering your redline is eating all your profits.

hi all guys
Several news incomingggg...
With the help of my coaches i have completely change my gamestyle, changing all my stats and fighting for every pot that i play.
I would say that is going pretty well, just want to post my last 50k hands.
At the start of this month i started shotting nl25, just few pretty good tables.
I worked from there and i'm really doing well there atm 13bb/100 in 20k.
Ofc is not a large sample but is obv going well.
Always continuing studying and having coaching session, this graph does not contain rakeback bonuses that will be around 300£.
I love what i'm doing every day, when i wake up i'm just so excited to play the first session of the day etc... i think i just love the game so much
I've been to PSC prague on these days and seeing all the pros in action made me just too focus in achieving result, yeah it was inspirational. I wonder if one day i will play with some of them.
Now i'm just an 18 years old who has to just work hard .
Btw this is my graph before my game changed.

And this is when my game changed

Now i'm going to play some months at nl25 just to build some br and having good coaching sessions for approaching well nl50.
I will write some times for news and stuff.
Let me know what u think and gl at the tables
