What's up 2+2!!??

My name is Jeremy and I'm making another attempt to journal my progression through the stakes, this time on BCP. I'm 36 years old, recently married and just found out a soon to be father. Life couldn't be any better outside poker, but in about 6 months time, life is going to get crazy busy changing diapers and trying to just figure out how to take care of another human being. I'm excited for the challenge! In the meantime, I'm going to start with $40 and attempt to run up a roll on BlackChip. I live in the US and have only really grinded on Merge since BF, but with all their recent cash out issues and the fact that they offer basically nothing in terms of rewards, I finally made the executive decision to purchase everything needed to run WPN on my Mac and am not looking back.

I've been playing poker now for about 10-12 years, playing on Stars under the name "GLUIPERIG" and had some pretty decent MTT success. Since, I've played mostly 6max cash, which is where I'll be starting this until I have enough to switch over to MTTs. The goal? Not really a goal per se, just looking to get to a point where I'm playing the biggest MTTs online available to US players and holding my own.

Like I said earlier, I loaded up $40 to start grinding $2nl. My first day was pretty successful, but I punted my profits on some $2 spin and go's and basically finished even. So, I'm basically starting from square one going forward.

Bankroll Management:

This without a doubt, is going to be the most important aspect of the challenge and has the biggest effect on anyone's overall success. With $40, I will be starting off playing $2nl 6max cash, moving up once I have 20 buy-ins for the next limit. Once I hit, $125 I will start incorporating $1.10 buy-in MTTs and playing $5nl cash. Once I hit $250, that's when I'll be shifting my focus to only playing MTTs (maybe some cash sprinkled in from time to time) with 100 buy-ins as an average. Once I start progressing, I will become a lot more conservative with my BRM, probably shifting to at least 200 buy-ins for $11+ and more so at even higher limits.

What to Expect:

Hopefully, a lot of binks, profitable months, sick graphs, sweet HH's and solid strat discussion. I'm playing under the name GLUIPERIG again, so feel free rail from time to time. Also, seeing how P2P transfers are allowed on WPN, I may be incorporating some freerolls for followers so keep an eye out for that as well.

Well, last night wasn't very productive on the poker front. Only managed to squeak in about 200 or so hands, but was able to earn a couple buy-ins so the roll currently sits at $45.24. Sitting at my desk atm, so no access to my database, but I'll try and make sure to post a bit more tonight.

Obviously this hasn't started out as booming as I would have liked. However, I have been out of town the past few days so haven't put in any volume. Took a bit of a hit over the last few sessions and roll currently sits at $39.79. Down a bit from my initial deposit, however, I feel like I've been playing good and most of it is simply due to variance, so that's a positive. Planning on putting in a decent amount of hands the rest of the week so I'll make sure to start posting some hands and graphs.

Put in a decent amount of volume last night and booked a 2 buy-in profit at the cash tables and final tabled a $0.55 MTT, finishing 6th. Now I'm struggling with pulling graphs and whatnot from PT4 through the Parallels interface. Anyone out there wanna give me a hand? Would love to be able to make this a little more fun to follow!

Anyway, put in another decent session last night and booked about a 1.5 buy-in profit. Roll sits at $61.88 so moving in the right direction. Really want to start posting hands and graphs so if anyone can lend a hand...

Well, weekend was pretty good overall. Was able to put in some decent volume, for me. Finished down a couple buy ins Saturday, but won back about 5 yesterday, finishing with the roll at $70.25. Hope to keep pushing forward. Goal would to be at $5 MTTs and $25nl by years end, but obviously only the cards determine that. Anyway, today starts a new week, hopefully it's a good one!

Can't figure out how to pull anything off of PT4 in the Windows partition on my Mac. I'll try again tonight, but it's not been very easy to figure out.

Alright, September 1 = new month, new beginning and better thread...especially because I've figured out how to pull graphs off of PT4. Look forward to seeing a lot more interesting posts and hopefully this thing takes off! Roll currently sits at $112.34 so gonna be grinding $5nl and mixing in some $1.10 MTTs...here we go!
